Liberal Tyranny: NY employers fined up to $¼M for referring to ‘transsexuals’ by their biological gender

Fellowship of the Minds

Speech crime has come to America.

Did you know that the city of New York has a Human Rights Law?

It’s called the New York City Human Rights Law (NYCHRL), the enforcement of which is by a bureaucracy called the New York City Commission on Human Rights (henceforth, the Commission).

The purpose of the city’s Human Rights Law is to prohibit discrimination in employment, public accommodations, and housing on the basis of gender. But NYCHRL has a specific, politically-correct definition for gender as one’s “actual or perceived sexand shall also include a person’s gender identity, self-image, appearance, behavior or expression, whether or not that gender identity, self-image, appearance, behavior or expression is different from that traditionally associated with the legal sex assigned to that person at birth.”

The Commission has an elaborate, detailed legal enforcement guide for the Human Rights Law, which you can read here…

    Dear Reader,

I hate being the bearer of bad news. Especially when it involves something as sacred as…coffee.

But it turns out there’s quite likely more than coffee in that cup you’re holding. A lot more!

Because your coffeemaker could be home to millions of bacteria, microbes and mold that are loving that morning cup of Joe just as much as you do!

And a new study out of Spain found that the very process of making coffee — including high temperatures, those pod-type machines, and even the brew itself — creates the perfect breeding ground for those grinds to get contaminated.

But before you start to rethink your daily coffee habit, there are some simple steps you can take to keep the bugs out of your brew.

Bad to the last drop

When a group of Spanish researchers decided to take a look at two types of “pod” coffeemakers, they found so many varieties of bacteria they could probably colonize Mars with them! And while some were fairly harmless, other turned out to be pathogenic strains — the kind that can make you sick.

The researchers analyzed several different Nespresso machines as well as their own office’s Krups. And they found bacteria from top to bottom — from the used capsules to the drip tray and everywhere in-between. The germs appear to start in the spent pods. And it didn’t matter what kind of coffee was being brewed, or how often the machines were being used, either.

Finding so much bacteria in the spent coffee pods must have been a surprise to the researchers, as caffeine is naturally antibacterial. And interestingly, one of the most common visitors to the machines tested is a bacteria called Pseudomonas — one that gobbles up caffeine! (Does that mean that bacteria burn the midnight oil, too?)

Well maybe you’re thinking you’re in the clear because you haven’t jumped on the “pod” bandwagon. So…what about other kinds of coffeemakers, such as drip machines?

Previous studies have found some pretty nasty results from them as well. Half of the basket and carafe kind analyzed were found to have yeast and mold in the reservoirs. And one out of 10 were growing coliform bacteria — the kind that inhabit your intestinal tract.

But whatever way you brew your cuppa Joe, there are some easy ways to keep the mold and bacteria party at bay, such as:

  • Throw out spent coffee grounds (or used pods) right away.
  • Clean all the removable parts of your coffeemaker, including the carafe, lid and basket, after each use.
  • If you have a machine with a drip tray, be sure to wash it out regularly. That was one of the primo locations bacteria flourished in the recent study.
  • Vinegar is still your best bet for cleaning. It decalcifies as well as sanitizes, and will also remove the mineral buildup from tap water.
  • For a drip style machine, at least once a month, use the vinegar/water “brew” to clean it out. Stop the coffeemaker halfway through and let the vinegar mix sit in the reservoir for around 30 minutes, then let the cycle finish. Keurigs (and similar machines) can also be given the vinegar treatment.

Until drip, and then those pod pots came into popularity, the way coffee was brewed at home was with the trusty percolator. While they’re not as popular as they were in the old days, an electric percolator, one made out of stainless steel, may prove to be the easiest to wash and keep clean. (Plus that, plastic units could still contain the harmful chemical BPA.)

And if you’re going on vacation, or even away for the weekend, make sure you’ve dumped the grinds and dried off your coffeemaker in all the locations you can easily reach. Otherwise, they could have colonized your coffeemaker and be partying away in it by the time you get home.

To Your Good Health,

Jenny Thompson

Regarding that Muslim Thing

Ernest Laverdiere Jr: Regarding that Muslim Thing

A very interesting history lesson ! ! !

HISTORY LESSON…..ONLY TO REPEAT ITSELF

Why the Marine Hymn Contains the Verse “To the Shores of Tripoli”

This very interesting and a must read piece of our history. It points out where we may be heading.

Most Americans are unaware of the fact that over two hundred years ago the United States had declared war on Islam and Thomas Jefferson led the charge!

At the height of the eighteenth century, Muslim pirates (the Barbary Pirates) were the terror of the Mediterranean and a large area of the North Atlantic.

They attacked every ship in sight, and held the crews for exorbitant ransoms. Those taken hostage were subjected to barbaric treatment and wrote heart-breaking letters home, begging their government and family members to pay whatever their Mohammedan captors demanded.

These extortionists of the high seas represented the North African Islamic nations of Tripoli, Tunis, Morocco, and Algiers - collectively referred to as the Barbary Coast - and presented a dangerous and unprovoked threat to the new American Republic.

Before the Revolutionary War, U.S. merchant ships had been under the protection of Great Britain. When the U.S. declared its independence and entered into war, the ships of the United States were protected by France. However, once the war was won, America had to protect its own fleets.

Thus, the birth of the U.S. Navy. Beginning in 1784, seventeen years before he would become president, Thomas Jefferson became America ‘s Minister to France. That same year, the U.S. Congress sought to appease its Muslim adversaries by following in the footsteps of European nations who paid bribes to the Barbary States rather than engaging them in war.

In July of 1785, Algerian pirates captured American ships, and the Dye of Algiers demanded an unheard-of ransom of $60,000. It was a plain and simple case of extortion, and Thomas Jefferson was vehemently opposed to any further payments. Instead, he proposed to Congress the formation of a coalition of allied nations who together could force the Islamic states into peace. A disinterested Congress decided to pay the ransom.

In 1786, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams met with Tripoli ‘s ambassador to Great Britain to ask by what right his nation attacked American ships and enslaved American citizens, and why Muslims held so much hostility towards America, a nation with which they had no previous contacts.

The two future presidents reported that Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja had answered that Islam “was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Quran that all nations who would not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise.”

Despite this stunning admission of premeditated violence on non-Muslim nations, as well as the objections of many notable American leaders, including George Washington, who warned that caving in was both wrong and would only further embolden the enemy, for the following fifteen years the American government paid the Muslims millions of dollars for the safe passage of American ships or the return of American hostages. The payments in ransom and tribute amounted to over twenty percent of the United States government annual revenues in 1800.

Jefferson was disgusted. Shortly after his being sworn in as the third President of the United States in 1801, the Pasha of Tripoli sent him a note demanding the immediate payment of $225,000 plus $25,000 a year for every year forthcoming. That changed everything.

Jefferson let the Pasha know, in no uncertain terms, what he could do with his demand. The Pasha responded by cutting down the flagpole at the American consulate and declared war on the United States. Tunis, Morocco, and Algiers immediately followed suit. Jefferson, until now, had been against America raising a naval force for anything beyond coastal defense, but, having watched his nation be cowed by Islamic thuggery for long enough, decided that it was finally time to meet force with force.

He dispatched a squadron of frigates to the Mediterranean and taught the Muslim nations of the Barbary Coast a lesson he hoped they would never forget. Congress authorized Jefferson to empower U.S. ships to seize all vessels and goods of the Pasha of Tripoli and to “cause to be done all other acts of precaution or hostility as the state of war would justify”.

When Algiers and Tunis, who were both accustomed to American cowardice and acquiescence, saw the newly independent United States had both the will and the right to strike back, they quickly abandoned their allegiance to Tripoli. The war with Tripoli lasted for four more years, and raged up again in 1815. The bravery of the U.S. Marine Corps in these wars led to the line “to the shores of Tripoli” in the Marine Hymn, and they would forever be known as “leathernecks” for the leather collars of their uniforms, designed to prevent their heads from being cut off by the Muslim scimitars when boarding enemy ships.

Islam, and what its Barbary followers justified doing in the name of their prophet and their god, disturbed Jefferson quite deeply.

America had a tradition of religious tolerance. In fact Jefferson, himself, had co-authored the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom, but fundamentalist Islam was like no other religion the world had ever seen. A religion based on supremacism, whose holy book not only condoned but mandated violence against unbelievers, was unacceptable to him. His greatest fear was that someday this brand of Islam would return and pose an even greater threat to the United States .

This should concern every American. That Muslims have brought about women-only classes and swimming times at taxpayer-funded universities and public pools; that Christians, Jews, and Hindus have been banned from serving on juries where Muslim defendants are being judged; Piggy banks and Porky Pig tissue dispensers have been banned from workplaces because they offend Islamist sensibilities; ice cream has been discontinued at certain Burger King locations because the picture on the wrapper looks similar to the Arabic script for Allah; public schools are pulling pork from their menus; on and on and on and on….

It’s death by a thousand cuts, or inch-by-inch as some refer to it, and most Americans have no idea that this battle is being waged every day across America . By not fighting back, by allowing groups to obfuscate what is really happening, and not insisting that the Islamists adapt to our own culture, the United States is cutting its own throat with a politically correct knife, and helping to further the Islamists agenda. Sadly, it appears that today America’s STUPID leaders would rather be politically correct than victorious!

What docs do after a patient ODs will SHOCK you

* Unfortunately, we likely all know someone who is addicted to prescription pain meds.

  • Note taken from: Daily Dose with Jack Harrison - 1/3/16

If someone’s threatening to kill himself, you don’t hand the guy a gun and wish him luck.

And yet, that’s pretty much what docs routinely do to some of the most desperate and vulnerable patients of all.

In this case, these aren’t folks who want to kill themselves.

They want to kill their PAIN.

These patients are suffering from pain so bad they end up taking powerful prescription opioid medications. And these are drugs with a dark side: They’re highly addictive, and it’s easy to build tolerance to them so you need higher and higher doses…until eventually you overdose.

As a result, opioid overdose is responsible for close to half a million ER trips per year and roughly 50 deaths per day in the United States alone. Yet when patients OD and live to tell the tale, what does the doctor do?

He keeps giving them MORE of the very same drugs that nearly killed them!

As insane as that is, it’s true, as new numbers show that 90 percent of patients who overdose on opioids end up with a new prescription for those same opioids.

Sure, some of them might’ve turned to gray-market “pill mills” after being cut off by their own doctors. But most didn’t have to, because 70 percent got their new opioid refills from their original prescribing doctor.

This isn’t just irresponsible. It’s criminal negligence if you ask me, because folks who overdose once could end up doing it again. In the new study, patients who continued to take opioids had DOUBLE the risk of a second OD when compared to folks who were cut off.

The best way to avoid the risk is to avoid the drugs. No matter how bad the pain is — and no matter what your doc tells you — there’s no evidence that opioids are any better than the over-the-counter stuff for chronic pain.

In fact, 200 mg of ibuprofen is about as effective as a morphine shot!

Since even ibuprofen and other OTC meds come with risks, you’re better off not even messing around with those, either, for anything other than the occasional headache.

For chronic pain, the key isn’t to cover it up with a drug. It’s to find the source of the pain and fix it, ideally with the help of an experienced naturopathic medical doctor.

Always giving out just the right dose,
Jack Harrison

The statin risk your doctor won’t warn you about

Think you know muscle pain? Think again!

You might get some aches after hauling the Christmas decorations into the garage…after shoveling some snow…or maybe after a couple hours at the driving range trying to fix that flaw in your swing….

Those pains might feel pretty bad, too. But they’re nothing next to a type of muscle pain I hope you never get to know first-hand.

This one isn’t caused by household chores or an epic fail of a backswing.

It’s caused by your meds!

The statin drugs practically forced on tens of millions of Americans can cause excruciating and debilitating muscle pain — pain so bad it’s like torture. And that pain is just the beginning of your ordeal.

What doctors won’t tell you — and what’s pretty much the worst-kept secret in medicine — is that in some cases, the pain is a sign of your muscles disintegrating right under your skin.

It’s called rhambydosis, and your muscles melt right into your bloodstream, where the dissolved tissue heads for your kidneys. As good as your kidneys are at filtering junk out of your blood, they just can’t handle muscle tissue — it’s practically cannibalism after all — and they choke on the stuff.

In some cases, they even shut down.

And that, my friend, is the REAL reason studies have shown time and time again that statin users’ risk of kidney problems and FAILURE is increased — and, according to a new study in the American Journal of Cardiology, by as much as a third. This echoes another study published in BMJ in 2013, which found almost the same exact risk as the new one.

So if your own doc wants to put you on statins, ask him if he’ll be driving you to your dialysis sessions.

He’ll get the point.

Your muscleman,
Jack Harrison

Cops Killing Un Armed Black Yout’s Everywhere. Well Those Darn Facts Again..

Did you say “Yout’s”, Yes sir I said “Yout’s” :)

The myth of the cop killing ‘epidemic’

To hear the media tell it, America is in the grip of an unprecedented crime wave, an orgy of wanton murder in which heavily armed thugs randomly gun down innocent unarmed people, some of them teens, just for sport.

Except that these homicidal goons are wearing the blues and badges of American police departments.

It’s the narrative that’s given rise to the protest movement Black Lives Matter and to a growing public mistrust of the police in general. From Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., to the recent shooting of a middle-aged woman and a teen in Chicago, the body count seemingly keeps rising, exacerbating racial tensions and keeping the nation on edge. And each incident is breathlessly reported by a media determined to show that America remains deeply, irredeemably racist.

Problem is, it’s simply not true.

Last week, The Washington Post published a study of the police shootings that took place in 2015. Likely they intended the story to be shocking — as on Dec. 24, 965 people were killed by police! Instead, the report quells the notion that trigger-happy cops are out hunting for civilian victims, especially African-Americans. Among its key findings:

  • White cops shooting unarmed black men accounted for less than 4% of fatal police shootings.
  • In three-quarters of the incidents, cops were either under attack themselves or defending civilians. In other words, doing their jobs.
  • The majority of those killed were brandishing weapons, suicidal or mentally troubled or bolted when ordered to surrender.
  • Nearly a third of police shootings resulted from car chases that began with a minor traffic stop.

The moral of this story is: Don’t point a gun at the cops and don’t run when they tell you stop, and you’re likely to survive.

Since the population of the US is about 318 million people, a thousand deaths at the hands of police works out to 1 in 318,000.

You have a better chance of being killed in a violent storm (1 in 68,000) or slipping in the tub (1 in 11,500) than being shot by a cop, no matter what color you are.

But even these figures are deceptive. On those 965 killed, only 90 were unarmed, and the majority of those were white. (And that doesn’t take into account other extenuating circumstances besides a weapon that would have caused a police officer to fire).

Still, the “killer cop” narrative refuses to die, and The Washington Post decided to throw fuel on the racial fire with context-free statements like these: “Although black men make up only 6% of the US population, they account for 40% of the unarmed men shot to death by police this year.”

This ignores the fact that black violent-crime rates are far higher than those of whites. According to the Department of Justice, blacks committed 52.5% of the murders in America from 1980-2008, when they represented 12.6% of the population.

This certainly does not excuse cases of police misconduct. Bad cops should be investigated and tried. The death of Walter Scott in South Carolina last spring — shot in the back while fleeing a white police officer after a routine traffic stop — resulted in the indictment of the cop, who is now awaiting trial. And the killing of Quintonio LeGrier and Bettie Jones in Chicago on Dec. 26, after the troubled LeGrier allegedly became “combative” with officers, cries out for further investigation.

But these incidents don’t prove that the “real problem” is cops. This isn’t an “epidemic.” And it isn’t racist to suggest that some perspective is warranted here.

Yet, encouraged by liberal politicians, the rhetoric of protesters has become more heated, poisoning relations between local police and the folks they serve. Most tragically, it’s resulted in the murders of police officers, such as NYPD officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos, killed in a Brooklyn ambush just over a year ago.

Against the numbers cited by The Washington Post, what about this one: The worst neighborhoods in Chicago — say, West Garfield Park, where gangs run rampant — have a higher murder rate (116.7 per 100,000) than world murder capitals like Honduras (90.4).

But no, best not to mention. That only distracts from the real problem — the cops trying to stop it.

THREE OF FIVE DETAINEES SWAPPED ARE NOW ISIS LEADERS

THREE OF FIVE DETAINEES SWAPPED ARE NOW ISIS LEADERS

by admin in DIASPORA

Remember when Obama committed treason by bypassing Congress and swapping five high-value detainees for one American traitor?

Remember the speech Obama gave last week telling Americans that we must take on ISIS?

Put together the two and you have a case for charges of treason against Barack Hussein Obama.

It is being reported that at least 3 of the 5 detainees involved in the swap have joined ISIS in Syria and Iraq as commanders and are using that rank to usher in an “Islamic Caliphate” (a Sunni Islamic Theocracy – contrary to Obama’s claims that ISIS is not Islamic).

The “Taliban 5” who were transferred from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to custody in Doha, Qatar, are Mohammad Fazl, Khairullah Khairkhwa, Abdul Haq Wasiq, Norullah Noori, and Mohammad Nabi Omari. They have largely disappeared from view since they were dropped off in Doha, but eyewitnesses place Fazi, Wasiq, and Noori in Iraq and Syria fighting with ISIS.
