Now Toronto wants a pause in Syrian refugee flow to city!

Refugee Resettlement Watch

You can’t make this up! Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (the boy who loves Muslims!) first promised 25,000 Syrians would be resettled in Canada before the close of 2015, now the goal is by the end of February of this year, but they forgot to see if they had enough housing!

All the cool people are at Davos this week, including “intellectual powerhouse” Trudeau. http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/justin-trudeaus-speech-at-world-economic-forum

We reported on Ottawa yesterday, now here comes Toronto as government frantically searches for more ‘welcoming’ cities who need more Muslim immigrants!

Hitting the “pause” button!

From the Toronto Sun:

TORONTO – The federal government is briefly hitting the pause button on Syrian resettlement efforts in Toronto and looking for other cities to take in refugees.

Immigration Minister John McCallum revealed Wednesday that resettlement groups in Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver and Halifaxhave asked for a temporary stop in the flow of government-sponsored refugees.

DRUDGE SUPER POLL: CLINTON HUGE LOSER; CRUZ BIG LOSER, SANDERS VERY BIG WINNER; TRUMP THE WINNER

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

This is will go down as the most amazing and unusual political campaign for the presidency in American history. Matt Drudge’s Super Poll, conducted over the past 18 hours, will become a permanent part of this process.

The results, of his Super Poll, as of this writing, are nothing less than astounding.

In short they show Donald Trump is still the one to beat for candidates on either side; but Bernie Sanders cannot be ignored. They prove the presidential dreams of both Republican Ted Cruz and Democrat Hillary Clinton are over.

With approximately 1.1 million votes cast, the huge loser is Democrat Hillary Clinton who despite being the favorite in all national polls has thus far seen her votes translate into .9%, a total putting her in 11th place. There is no enthusiasm whatsoever, for Clinton’s campaign.

The big loser is Republican Ted Cruz who has seen his votes translate into 19% which is good for third place but far behind the contest’s very big winner Socialist/Democrat Bernie Sanders. This blows away any argument that Cruz can win a general election. He can’t.

Sanders has thus far pulled a very very impressive number of votes that translates into 31% of the total for second place. This indicates the Republican establishment, the media and the Consultant Class are not the only ones fearful of losing their free ride. Sanders has tapped into the ever present reservoir of greed and resentment to be found in any industrial society. He must be taken seriously and defeated.

While no one could have expected the results for these three, first place in the poll is not surprisingly held by Republican businessman Donald Trump. Trump’s numbers at this writing show him getting 378K votes and holding a shockingly small lead of 2 ½% over Sanders.

The wild ride is just beginning. Trump has to redouble his efforts and retool his attacks toward Sanders and forget about Cruz and Clinton. They are done for.

White House Suggests Algorithm to Find “Terrorists” on Facebook and Twitter

It’s not only Muslims the feds consider violent terrorists

On January 8 we reported on a summit between top federal officials and the giants of social media in San Jose, California.

The talks between the government and Facebook, Twitter, Google and Microsoft centered on the use of social media to recruit terrorists and, according to CNN, “find potential agents, inspire them to become violent, and coordinate attacks.”

On Wednesday The Intercept posted a White House briefing document on the January 12 meeting.

According to the briefing the feds want to “explore ways to more quickly and comprehensively identify terrorist content online so that online service providers can remove it if it violates their terms of service.”

The government suggested developing an algorithm similar to one used by Facebook to detect and prevent possible suicides.

“Are there other areas where online providers have used technology to identify harmful content and remove it? … Something like Facebook’s suicide process flow?” the document states.

The Intercept notes developing effective software for such an effort would be virtually impossible.

“Many believe that data mining is the crystal ball that will enable us to uncover future terrorist plots. But even in the most wildly optimistic projections, data mining isn’t tenable for that purpose,” the cryptologist Bruce Schneier writes.

“Something as unique and rare as terrorism—that’s what makes this different from credit card fraud,” Schneier told The Intercept.

Schneier said false-positives resulting from an effort to detect terrorists online would be enormous.

It’s Not Just Muslims the Feds Want to Target

If implemented the effort to find precrime terrorists online would not be limited to Muslims. The federal government is also interested in denying internet access and possibly entrapping “right-wing sovereign citizen extremists” and others it considers more dangerous than Islamic fanatics.

In 2014 the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START), a University of Maryland project funded by the Department of Homeland Security, designated the so-called sovereign citizen movement as the number one domestic terrorist threat in America.

Sovereign citizens do not constitute a cohesive movement, although the government characterizes them as such. The Southern Poverty Law Center estimates around 100,000 Americans were “hard-core sovereign believers” in 2010 and an additional 200,000 were “just starting out by testing sovereign techniques for resisting everything from speeding tickets to drug charges.”

The SPLC works with the DHS to formulate the terrorist threat posed by citizens allegedly belonging to the sovereign citizen movement.

In addition to so-called sovereign citizens the government has categorized constitutionalists as potential terrorists.

In 2010 a Department of Justice guide for investigators of criminal and extremist groups listed “constitutionalists” and “survivalists” alongside organizations like al-Qaeda and the Aryan Brotherhood.

The Department of Homeland Security funded a study in 2012 that characterized Americans “suspicious of centralized federal authority,” and “reverent of individual liberty” as “extreme right-wing” terrorists.

“While largely omitting Islamic terrorism—the report fails completely to mention the 1993 World Trade Center bombing—the study focuses on Americans who hold beliefs shared by the vast majority of conservatives and libertarians and puts them in the context of radical extremism,” writes Paul Joseph Watson.

In 2009 the DHS came under criticism when an internal document on the supposed threat of rightwing extremism came to light. The “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” document produced during the Bush administration portrays anti-government groups as dangerous and potentially violent terrorists.

There are hundreds of thousands of groups and individuals on Facebook and Twitter that would be characterized by the feds as terrorist for opposing various government policies.

It is unclear if the algorithm suggested at the San Jose summit will be limited to Muslims or if it will used against all groups and individuals the federal government considers terrorists, including constitutionalists, antiwar activists, crypto-anarchists and dozens of other political classifications.

TN Note: This is a must read article. Common Core is further uncovered as a ruse on Americans and their precious children. In 1934, Technocracy called education “a system of human conditioning”, and that is exactly what they have accomplished with Common Core. If you love America’s kids, then these globalist destroyers need to be called out, shamed and stopped before we lose this entire generation to the global hive-mind.

A former marketing executive for textbook publishing giant Pearson Education reveals the anti-American agenda behind Common Core and the Advanced Placement U.S. History framework in the third video of a series produced by Project Veritas and focused on the corporate cronyism behind the education reform known as Common Core.

Kim Koerber, a former Pearson executive who now works as a sales consultant for National Geographic – another Gates Foundation-funded Common Core publisher – tells the Project Veritas undercover journalist that “conservative voters are afraid of everything,” and proceeds to say why Common Core is important in her view.

She explains that those behind Common Core and the new AP U.S. History framework have attempted to minimize the Constitution and remove Christianity from the core concepts, while they also stress the importance of teaching about Islam:

“The dead white guys did not create this country,” Koerber says. “They [presumably conservatives] want to talk about those dead white guys.”

Koerber continues that Common Core is necessary because “it needs to be come cohesion between the states.” She expresses frustration, however, that “Texas keeps screwing it up over and over again.”

“People who say they want to teach the Constitution, only want to teach the part of the Constitution that they like,” she tells the journalist, who then asks her about the Second Amendment.

“But yet they don’t want to teach all of it,” she replies. “Damn the Second Amendment.”

Ted Cruz: “what happened in Mississippi was appalling”… Really ? Really Ted ?

The Last Refuge

It would be more than important to listen to this audio/video interview with Mark Levin before dropping below the fold:

You’ll note that Senator Ted Cruz seems to express disgust and outrage against the tactics deployed by what he calls the “DC Machine”. Cruz states that their conduct in the Mississippi runoff was “incredibly disappointing” etc.

However, we now know -from specific documentation provided by internal research into the activity around the Mississippi campaign- that the National Republican Senatorial Campaign, the NRSC, was the financier for the attack ads against Chris McDaniel.

So who is the “DC Machine”, this “leadership of the NRSC”, that Senator Ted Cruz is so “incredibly disappointed” in ?

Obama Would Make “Posting Firearm Information on the Internet” a Crime

New Obama Policy Would Make “Merely Posting Firearm Information on the Internet” a Crime

Mac Slavo SHTFplan.com

This info is from June 2015 but is even more pertinent for today’s news. If it was posted here earlier it still needs review in todays treasonous political climate.

cali-gun-confiscation

The blogosphere is sounding off about a pending new Obama policy that would impact not only the 2nd Amendment, but the 1st Amendment as well.

As incredible as it seems, individuals would be in violation by “merely posting information on the Internet about common firearms” which “could be interpreted as illegally sharing sensitive information with foreign nationals”

Applying issues related to “exporting” and “foreign nations” under an international treaty to individual on-line speech (under the guise of improperly sharing technical data about firearms) may seem like a stretch, but it is apparently what is happening, unless public opposition is voiced before this oh-so quiet regulation sets in towards the end of summer.

While it remains to be seen if such a policy would be enforceable, the mere redefinition of Internet activities – now under FCC regulation – is startling, suggesting that the “bark” about guns may be just as threatening to this anti-gun administration as the “bite” of ‘military-style weapons’ like the AR-15 that so frequently drives media coverage. According to the Washington Times:

Gun control and control of free speech would be combined in a new Obama administration plan that could send Second Amendment advocates to prison.

The National Rifle Association (NRA) is furious about new regulations announced last week. The plan uses national security as an excuse to threaten gun advocates with prison time for sharing information about “military-style weapons. The problem is that almost every firearm is considered “military-style” by President Obama and the gun-control crowd.

These new restrictions involve commonly and legally available personal firearms.

Under the new proposal from the State Department, merely posting information on the Internet about common firearms could be interpreted as illegally sharing sensitive information with foreign nationals. So Mr. Obama’s plan is two-for-one in restricting constitutional rights: He would combine gun control with control over free speech.

And the penalty for violating this policy could be drastic if upheld:

The penalty? 20 years in prison plus a $1 million fine for each violation. Each time that any foreign national accesses the data is considered a separate violation.

Wow… I guess that’s pretty severe – enough to discourage even chance encounters with loose talk about one of the most sacred items that many Americans own.

The NRA is charging that the interpretation of language in the proposal would have the State Department treating online speech about firearms in the same way it treats actual firearms when it comes to the regulation of their “export.”

It’s happening again— President Obama is using his imperial pen and telephone to curb your rights and bypass Congress through executive action.

[…] the Obama State Department has been quietly moving ahead with a proposal that could censor online speech related to firearms. This latest regulatory assault, published in the June 3 issue of the Federal Register, is as much an affront to the First Amendment as it is to the Second. Your action is urgently needed to ensure that online blogs, videos, and web forums devoted to the technical aspects of firearms and ammunition do not become subject to prior review by State Department bureaucrats before they can be published.

The rationale is technical, but maybe that’s the point. The potential to enforce gun speech all about catching people on the technicalities, and is tied to the history of participation of in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). None of that will stop it from creating consequences for those it would go after:

With the new proposal published on June 3, the State Department claims to be “clarifying” the rules concerning “technical data” posted online or otherwise “released” into the “public domain.” To the contrary, however, the proposal would institute a massive new prior restraint on free speech. This is because all such releases would require the “authorization” of the government before they occurred. The cumbersome and time-consuming process of obtaining such authorizations, moreover, would make online communication about certain technical aspects of firearms and ammunition essentially impossible.

[…]

Gunsmiths, manufacturers, reloaders, and do-it-yourselfers could all find themselves muzzled under the rule and unable to distribute or obtain the information they rely on to conduct these activities. Prior restraints of the sort contemplated by this regulation are among the most disfavored regulations of speech under First Amendment case law.

The end run around the 2nd Amendment is nearly complete, giving Obama until the end of his administration to set in place legal hurdles that even a gun-toting, pro-2nd Amendment, NRA- and Tea Party-backed politician would be hard pressed to undo completely.

Oscar’s Black Flak Twist

By Rev. Austin Miles

HOLLYWOOD, California 1/21/16-Who would expect that film actors (or anybody else) would get flak for being nominated for a high level award simply because that they were not of the chosen race? This growing outrage is not based upon the extraordinary abilities of the nominees, mind you, but only upon the race of the nominee.

Al Sharpton who race baits for a living, is, of course, the wind behind these ragged sails, feebly pushing along his leaky boat through the murky waters of racial agitation in an effort to bring unrest between blacks and whites, allowing him to collect huge sums of money for his hustles, but most importantly, keeping him in the spotlight .

This particular award is based solely upon acting talent which is judged on many factors including superb acting skills, the charisma and realism of the actors, how they come across on screen along with the deeply felt portrayal of the character played. The standard is so high that many capable white actors are passed over and HAVE been passed over this year. Read this again.

However, blacks should never be passed over for anything don’cha know. Unlike the whites, they are entitled simply for being. Edged on by Sharpton, black performers have orchestrated hysterical outbursts over the fact that “Every Academy Award Nominee is white! Not one black face can be seen there.” They proclaim to all: “This is racist!” Yep, a black should have been included in the awards, not due to talent, but simply because he or she is black. Really?

As a result, a movement has belched out for blacks to boycott the Oscars and at this moment, that would include Chris Rock who has been scheduled to be Master of Ceremonies, which to me is the highest honor anyone could be afforded, black or white. Oh yes, The Sharpton Gang is trying to recruit whites to boycott the event as well.

But alas! A welcome twist has entered these portals. Black actress Stacey Dash, married to Jamie Foxx, said this to Fox News while discussing the “White Oscars” boycott: “I think it’s ludicrous. We have to make up our minds. Either we want to have segregation or integration, or if we don’t want segregation, then we have to get rid of channels like BET (Black Entertainment Television) and the BET Awards and the Image Awards where you’re only awarded if you’re black.”

During her interview, according to AOL News, she had also said America should get rid of Black History Month. “If this was the other way around, such as a White History Month, we would be up in arms. It’s a double standard.”

As to be expected, Ms. Dash took a lot of heat over her views. There was one person who did stand up for her. Academy Award Winner Morgan Freeman who also opposes Black History Month, but has never taken as much heat as Ms. Dash has for believing that all people advance due to their acquired abilities.

Fructose and Kidney Stones in Youngsters

Do our loved ones & friends KNOW ?

  • Note taken from Health Sciences Institute e-Alert - Jenny Thompson - 1/20/16

    Dear Reader,

They can feel like tiny razor blades are working their way through your back or stomach. The pain can be so excruciating that sometimes even morphine won’t touch it.

It’s the kind of thing you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy — let alone a small child.

But doctors are warning that the number of young children coming down with kidney stones is going through the roof. Some kids are even being wheeled in for surgery to have their stones removed.

It’s a problem that seems to be getting worse every year. And the culprit may be a dangerous sweetener I’ve been warning you about for years.

The stone age

For decades doctors hardly ever saw children with kidney stones.

Now they’re treating them all the time, according to pediatric urologist Dr. Gregory Taisan.

One of those children is Victoria Tappan, who was just 12 years old when she was rushed to the hospital with her first kidney stones. The poor girl has had six surgeries to remove stones since.

Dr. Taisan and his colleagues recently pored through 15 years’ worth of medical records on more than 150,000 patients. And they found that the rate at which kids are getting kidney stones is increasing nearly 5 percent every single year.

So what’s changed between 30 years ago — when you practically had to be at least 40 to have a kidney stone — and now?

Kids are eating more fructose than ever.

I’ve told you before how processed fructose — like high fructose corn syrup — can cause everything from liver damage to aggressive cancer.

And it looks like you can add kidney stones to the list.

You see, there are basically two types of kidney stones — ones that are made of calcium and oxalate and ones that are crystallized uric acid.

But fructose doesn’t discriminate. It can cause both.

Processed fructose (such as HFCS, not what you’ll find in fruit) can cause your body to produce high levels of both oxalate and uric acid, which can send your kidney stone risk skyrocketing.

And this isn’t exactly new information, either. One big study out of Harvard two years ago found that people who drink soda, which is usually loaded with HFCS, have a 33 percent higher risk for developing kidney stones.

HFCS has only been in the food supply since the 1970s, which may explain why a generation or two ago kids never got kidney stones.

But these days, HFCS and other types of processed fructose are everywhere. You’ll find fructose in everything from soda to cookies to even certain types of pickles.

Even drinks you might think are healthy, like Vitamin Water, contain crystalline fructose — a sweetener that’s 99 percent fructose. That makes it even higher in fructose than HFCS!

Whether we’re talking about kids or adults, once you have a kidney stone there’s a 50 percent or greater chance that you’ll have another one in the next five years. And none of us want to go through an ordeal like that again.

That’s why, along with avoiding fructose like the plague, these three tips can help prevent another kidney stone incident — whether you’re 8 or 80!

  • Drink more water — but make sure it’s the real deal, the old-fashioned kind that isn’t sweetened.
  • Take magnesium and B6 supplements, which have been found to cut the chances of a painful kidney stone recurrence by up to 90 percent.
  • Stock up on phytate-rich foods, like whole grains, nuts, seeds and beans. Research out of Harvard found that they can lower your risk of kidney stones by almost 40 percent.

To Your Good Health,

Jenny Thompson

Fast Tracking Drugs - Who Is Watching Out for You?

* Do our loved ones & friends KNOW ?

  • Note: Taken from Health Sciences Institute e-Alert - Jenny Thompson - 1/20/16

    Dear Reader,

Forget the Gang That Couldn’t Shoot Straight — when it comes to protecting us from dangerous drugs, the FDA is firing blanks!

For years the FDA has been promising us that its fast-track approval process wasn’t putting us at risk. It lets the agency sign off on so-called “breakthrough” new drugs at light speed, and study the safety problems later.

You know, once we’ve all become lab rats.

But it looks like our government has been lying to our faces all along. Because a new report proves that the FDA isn’t doing a thing to track serious problems with these new meds — including complications that could kill you.

It’s a problem that’s about to get a whole lot worse unless we act now to keep ourselves safe.

The fast track to danger

Right after the cancer drug Nexavar hit the market a couple years ago, a team of doctors started sounding an alarm.

They warned that it could actually cut off the blood supply to your pancreas and do serious — and permanent — damage.

It’s the kind of danger that anyone taking the drug would want to know about. But if you’re expecting the FDA to help out, you’ve got some long, tough sledding ahead of you.

You see, Bayer got Nexavar approved as a thyroid treatment though the fast-track process, and the FDA promised to let us know all about the risks down the road.

But there’s one big problem. A new report from the Government Accountability Office (how’s that for an oxymoron) found that the FDA isn’t looking at or sharing this information on fast-tracked meds at all.

They may as well be throwing it in the trash!

The GAO studied eight years of approvals on fast-tracked drugs, and here’s what they found:

  • The FDA didn’t post a single report about adverse events with fast-tracked drugs last year, which is against the law. Nothing. Nada.
  • The agency doesn’t even have the data in a form that its staff can use to investigate potential dangers from drugs.
  • And are you ready for the kicker? There are 1,400 post-market studies on these meds sitting in FDA headquarters right now that haven’t been fully reviewed!

“The GAO report confirms my greatest fear,” said Connecticut Representative Rosa DeLauro, who requested the study.

Greatest fear? This is a nightmare! The FDA isn’t even pretending to study the safety of these meds — drugs that may be sitting in your medicine cabinet right now — anymore.

And, believe it or not, the problem is only getting worse. The FDA signed off on nearly 40 different drugs through its fast-track or priority review processes just last year alone.

We’re talking about dozens more drugs that may be harming — or killing — people as we speak. And if our government has its way, we’ll never hear a peep about it.

One of those drugs is Entresto, the heart failure med that got the fast-track special last year, even though researchers were warning it could cause Alzheimer’s and macular degeneration. Looks like if it’s up to the folks at the FDA, there won’t be any more talk of that.

Rep. DeLauro said it’s clear that the FDA “lacks fundamental resources and leadership” it needs to make sure the drugs its unleashing on us are safe.

Well, I don’t know about the resources part — these guys are getting nearly $5 billion in our tax dollars a year.

But I can tell you a thing or two about the FDA’s leadership.

President Obama’s hand-picked appointee Dr. Robert Califf may be just days from taking the agency’s helm. And as I’ve told you before, he’s part of Big Pharma’s good-old-boy network who’s spent his career helping drug companies zip through the FDA approval process.

It’s clearer than ever that it’s up to us to keep ourselves safe — because the government isn’t going to do the job.

Here’s a list of drugs that got expedited approval (and maybe not a second look) over the years.

If you or someone you love is taking a med on this list, talk to your doc and get a full accounting of the risks.

And if all you get is a shrug in return, be sure to ask about alternatives.

To Your Good Health,

Jenny Thompson
