Buried in the 2,000-page omnibus spending bill released by the Senate this morning is a secret provision that many senators hope unemployed blue-collar workers won’t find out about.
This provision would quadruple the number of H-2B visas for unskilled foreign “guest workers.” It would allow more than a quarter-of-a-million foreign workers to enter the U.S. each year and work in the construction industry, hotel-motel services, truck drivers, food processing, forestry and many other fields that don’t require a college education.
A vote on the spending bill is expected late Thursday night, possibly after midnight, sources on the Hill told WND.
The bill also includes funding for all of President Obama’s foreign refugee resettlement program and does nothing to stop the proliferation of so-called “sanctuary cities.”
Legal immigration is already at an all-time high, with 1.1 million foreign-born persons coming to the U.S. every year, and a recent Pew Research poll shows 83 percent of the voting public wishes to see the level of immigration frozen or reduced.
House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., reportedly helped negotiate the omnibus deal. The spending bill also includes full funding for President Obama’s refugee resettlement program, which will cost $1.6 billion and bring in another 85,000 refugees this year, many of them from jihadist hotbeds like Syria, Somalia, Iraq and Afghanistan.
The timing of the bill comes as a record number of blue-collar American workers can’t find a job at all, said Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala.
“At a time when the civilian labor force participation rate in the U.S. is approximately 62.4%, now is not the time to advance legislation further depressing wages and employment for U.S. workers,” Sessions said in a letter to the chairs of the Senate appropriations committee.
But this is not the first time Congress has tried to include such a dramatic infusion of foreign labor into the lower rung of the U.S. job market.
The Gang of Eight bill in 2013, co-sponsored by Sen. Marco Rubio, also increased the controversial H-2B visa that brings in foreign workers to fill jobs as construction workers, restaurant employees, hotel maids and industrial workers.
In just the case of construction, there are six unemployed construction workers for each job opening, according to a study by the Economic Policy Institute. Yet the omnibus released around 2 a.m, Wednesday, would as much as quadruple the H-2B visa in an unadvertised provision secreted into the more than 2,000-page bill.
Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., sponsored the Gang of Eight’s bill which included an expansion of the guest-worker program. Rubio also told Sean Hannity he would ‘hate’ to vote against funding President Obama’s refugee resettlement program.
Labor unions are expected to kick up a fuss, but the bill could be voted on before news of the provision reaches the rank and file.
The last-minute insert was sponsored by Sens. Barbara Mikulski, D-Md., and Thom Tillis, R-N.C. A bipartisan group of senators opposes the bill, including Sessions, Bernie Sanders, D-Vt., and Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn.
The bill appears to be a copy of the Save Our Small and Seasonal Business Act, or SOSSBA, according to an op-ed in National Review by immigration attorney Ian Smith.
Smith wrote:
“Like SOSSBA, the Mikulski-Tillis bill would exclude returning H-2B temporary workers from the normal annual cap of 66,000. Although SOSSBA was previously in place, Congress failed to renew it in 2008. The H-2B program is designed to import temporary, seasonal, non-agricultural guest workers, mostly in the areas of landscaping, forestry, hotels, seafood processing, restaurants, amusement parks, and construction. Many of these unskilled jobs traditionally go to society’s most vulnerable — including single women, the disabled, the elderly, minorities, teenagers, students, and first-generation immigrants.”
Chamber of Commerce backs guest-worker program
But large corporate employers love the program because, as with the H-1B program for skilled foreign guest-workers, the worker’s visa is tied to his employment. This makes him more easily controllable and less likely to be lured away by a competitor.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce lists expanding the H-2B program as one of its “Policy Priorities for 2015.”
“And like most of our immigration programs, the H-2B operates mechanistically, giving jobs to foreign workers without any consideration for domestic labor conditions: Regardless of the state of the economy, the cap stays the same,” Smith writes.
Although SOSSBA includes a reference to “small businesses,” most H-2B employers, according to the Center for Immigration Studies, are not small or seasonal – they are mid- to large-size companies and recruiters who petition for H-2Bs so they can hire employees who work in the U.S. for 10 months out of the year, year after year, said Smith, who works for the Immigration Reform Law Institute.
And that’s why the corporate lobby, led by the Chamber, is pushing hard for this provision. This lobby has invested heavily in North Carolina’s junior senator, Thom Tillis, and in Maryland’s Mikulski.
“In 2008, CIS found that Mikulski, a long-time champion of SOSSBA, received tens of thousands of dollars of campaign contributions from the biggest users of the program,” Smith said.
Like Maryland, Tillis’s state of North Carolina is a big user of the program.
“His state in particular was recently the subject of an investigative Buzzfeed report about H-2Bs. The report, which also profiled the nearly identical H-2A program for temporary agricultural workers, zeroed in on the program’s loopholes and its damaging effects on American labor, most notably on African Americans,” Smith writes.
Exploiting loopholes
Although the H-2B program requires employers to advertise job openings prior to petitioning for guest workers, the ads are designed to attract as little attention from American workers as possible, according to Smith.
“Buzzfeed found that while employers do post ads for American workers, they employ numerous strategies to make sure no one actually responds. The investigation found that one guest-worker employer, Talbott’s Honey of South Dakota, ran ads in newspapers in Texas and New Mexico, hundreds of miles away from its area of operation. Similarly, in North Carolina, the state’s online job board incorrectly posted seasonal Christmas-tree-cutting jobs ‘in the wrong counties, sometimes hundreds of miles from any pine forests.’”
As a result, Buzzfeed reported, “workers looking for Christmas-tree work close to home face a peculiar paradox: The only way to find the openings nearby is to search in a faraway corner of the state.” Other ads across the country simply failed to include contact information or the name of the company.
Another clever tactic of H-2B employers is to include overly stringent requirements in the want ads.
Lori Johnson, a lawyer from Legal Aid of North Carolina, told Buzzfeed that there is little evidence such requirements are ever imposed on the foreign guest workers who ultimately get the jobs. The ads are designed to “filter out U.S. workers,” Johnson concludes.
This may explain why, in fiscal 2015, only 505 American farmworkers in North Carolina found jobs from listings on the state’s Department of Commerce’s website, even though more than 7,000 American farmworkers in the state had registered with the agency to seek work.
“Quadrupling the number of H-2B visas will artificially increase competition for the jobs that typically go to the nation’s most vulnerable. Black unemployment in North Carolina, for instance, is 17 percent, four times the U.S. average and the fourth-highest rate for blacks across the nation. Members of Congress from Maryland and North Carolina, such as Congressional Black Caucus chairman G. K. Butterfield (D., N.C.), should join the bipartisan effort to condemn the bill,” Smith concluded.
There’s a reason GOP voters are in ‘open rebellion’
Sessions is leading the opposition from the conservative side.
The voters put Republicans in a majority in the 2014 midterm elections – a vote that constituted a clear decision to reject the abuse of our immigration system.
That loyalty has been repaid with betrayal, Sessions said in a statement released Wednesday.
“On top of this provision, the omnibus approves – without conditions – the president’s request for increased refugee admissions, allowing him to bring in as many refugees as he wants, from anywhere he wants, and then allow them to access unlimited amounts of welfare and entitlements at taxpayer expense. This will ensure that at least 170,000 green card, refugee and asylum approvals are issued to migrants from Muslim countries over just the next 12 months.
“In March, … I sent appropriators a list of several dozen provisions for inclusion in our funding bills to improve immigration enforcement and block presidential lawlessness; those provisions were rejected – yet industry’s request for more foreign workers, and the president’s request for refugee funds, were unconditionally approved.
“The bill also funds sanctuary cities and illegal alien resettlement, allows the president to continue issuing visas to countries that refuse to repatriate violent criminal aliens, and funds the president’s ongoing lawless immigration actions – including his unimpeded 2012 executive amnesty for alien youth.
“As feared, the effect is to fund the president’s entire immigration agenda.”
There’s a reason that GOP voters are in “open rebellion,” Sessions said.
“This legislation represents a further disenfranchisement of the American voter,” Sessions said.
The Senate voted to pass a combined government funding and tax relief package on Friday, sending the measure to President Barack Obama’s desk where it’s expected to be signed into law. The measure includes a $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill that funds the government until Sept. 30, 2016, as well as a $680 billion tax package.

Senator Jeff Sessions spent almost 25 minutes pleading his case as to why the Marxists in the Senate, both Republicans and Democrats, are betraying their nation by ceding their constitutional authority over immigration, the show vote took place and it wasn’t even close.
What kind of pathetic, pandering, weak and cowardly sellouts to the globalist agenda occupy positions which are supposed to be held by those who represent Americans? Those disgusting individuals are accurately represented in this video. They voted on what is thankfully reportedly a piece of show-legislation only, to grant new “rights to immigrate” internationally to non-citizens, international rights which do not and should not exist anywhere in the world. As one of the few who represent the American people and in the face of such utter disregard by the traitors who occupy seats next to him and the idiots who send them to Washington in the first place, Senator Sessions must wonder why he even bothers.
These criminal pieces of congressional fecal matter, occupants of both parties, couldn’t care less about the United States, the Constitution or the American people. They just want to look important, get paid off for doing the Devil’s work and protect their sorry jobs and their even sorrier butts from exposure.
Well, here’s a little exposure for you traitors, not that it will make any difference. The vote was 16-4 against American sovereignty and in favor of open borders mandated by laws granting religious rights to anybody of any nation as part of the now largely laughable immigration process into the United States.
It’s also noteworthy to recognize that many of the votes were cast by proxy, meaning that there was no opportunity for the Senator to be motivated to reason by the Sessions comments, that as far as their votes were concerned, he never drew the first breath. While that is a common practice in Congress, it helps to explain why we have such a problem with those who go through the motions of representative government rather than providing the genuine article.
The sixteen traitors to the United States and we the people who voted in favor of the amendment included infamous money puppet scumbags Orin Hatch (R-UT) by proxy , Lindsey Graham (R-SC) by proxy, John Cornyn (R-TX) by proxy, the ever-eroding into establishment minion Mike Lee (R-UT), Jeff Flake (R-AZ) by proxy, David Perdue (R-GA), Charles Grassley (R-IA), the commie who sponsored it, Patrick Leahy (D-VT), Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Chuck Schumer (D-NY) by proxy, Dick Durbin (D-IL), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Al Franken (D-MN) by proxy, Christopher Coons (D-DE), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT).
Those voting in the interest of the American people and in support of the Constitution against the amendment were outnumbered by a factor of four to one. They were Senators Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Ted Cruz (R-TX) by proxy from the campaign trail, Senator David Vitter (R-LA) by proxy and Thom Tillis (R-NC) by proxy.
When betrayal such as this is conducted shamelessly, in full view of the American people and without fear of retribution, we’ve got a serious problem. The Marxists have the advantage. The American people have only the numbers and our Bill of Rights on our side. Our numbers are being diluted and our rights are under assault. We’re running out of time and the criminals are getting more brazen by the day. How much proof do we need?

I found-out about this through Facebook, it’s about one man’s frustration and even though it might get seen by a few hundred and maybe even a few thousand people on Facebook…I felt he needed a LARGER forum. No better way to make my blood boil! So for the past however long I can remember there has been a older gentleman by the name of Val who is a greeter at Walmart. This man is a Veteran and very proud to be. You don’t need to know him or even speak to him, although I thank him for his service every time I see him, because he illustrates his pride through the highly decorated Veteran baseball cap he wears……or….used to wear.
One day I as I walked in I noticed a bright blue Walmart hat on his head with all the military pins that once adorned his wore out faded military cap and I asked him about it. We both had tears in our eyes as I wished him a blessed day and shook his hand before I left. His reply was simple and full of hurt, “corporate will not allow me to wear that hat anymore while on the clock, because it goes against the dress code”.
I was so furious that I demanded to talk to a manager that day and I’m sure she will never forget my face or the angry words that I shared with her. Since then I try not to ever shop at Walmart unless there is no other choice. Today was one of them days that I needed something and stopped into the Okemos Walmart. As I’m standing in line to pay this woman in her Walmart vest steps into line behind me and immediately I was outraged!
So one of our own who signed his life away to protect our freedoms and homeland cannot wear his simple old hat but this woman can wear a headscarf proclaiming her love of the Muslim culture and her dedication to Allah!?

Republican presidential candidate, Sen. Lindsey Graham (SC), has performed so low in the polls, he was unable to qualify to participate in a candidate forum in his own state, according to a report Wednesday in The Greenville News. Graham is listed at 0 percent in the average of three polls last month.
Yet, when he’s onstage at the lower tier debate with Pataki, Santorum, and Huckabee, he makes a point of claiming, “Trump does not represent us.” The media, who is out for blood and the total destruction of Donald Trump, absolutely jumps on Graham’s statement as though he’s the most brilliant personage in the debate.
“Trump does not represent us.” Well Lindsey, that’s for damned sure. Trump is nothing like the globalists running for president under the GOP banner. There is not a one of them who is an honest conservative. What does “Republican” mean anymore? It’s the Trotskyite half of the Communist party led by another Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, Ceaucescu, i.e., Lyndon Johnson, Carter, Bill Clinton, Obama. And just who was Trotsky? He was a Commie just like the rest of them, but he wanted the people to adopt Marxism and to do so, he instituted the planks of that filthy socialist drivel slowly…just like our Republicans do today, and that includes Graham who voted for Kagan and Sotomeyer. Please….just think of the decisions this court has made with these two socialists on board.

Italian journalist, Oriana Fallaci, had the chutzpah and spine to tell the truth about Islam. She did it quite well in her little book, The Rage and the Pride. To read it is to understand the destruction of Europe, which has now become Eurabia. Oriana warned America that the same would happen to us. She had death threats over and over again, but she told the truth.

Trump’s latest comments about pausing our immigration policy until we get an understanding of how we are vetting these refugees is spot on. He is taking a lot of heat for it, but he is 100 percent correct. Our Secretary of Defense has said we are at War, most people agree, and no country takes in insurgents who have said they will exploit the weakness of the host country.
What will be needed by our next President, as Trump has pointed out, is competence- NOT being nice or politically correct like the Lindsey Graham’s and Hillary Clinton’s of the world. America can’t afford this kind of attitude with so many issues which must be dealt with immediately. Lindsey Graham, you are a , weak, spineless, lily livered, gutless, politically correct useless human being who doesn’t give a damn about the people you represent or the people of this once great country.
We have only one opportunity to try to save her, and it’s sure not with the line up on the GOP stage beside Trump. Why aren’t Pataki, Kasich, Christie,Fiorina, Santorum, Huckabee, Paul, Bush, and Carson dropping out? Because they hold delegates who they will swing to the one who comes in right below Trump, hoping to dislodge his ability to win. They hate Trump because he foils their New World Order Plans. They hate Trump because the people love him. They hate Trump because he has the ear of the American people. They hate Trump because he speaks the truth, and it resonates. They will do anything to destroy someone like Trump who could put America back on the track of liberty and freedom. And believe me, I know that Trump doesn’t know everything he should know, but he listens. We’ve already found out he reads what we have sent him. Send something to the rest of the candidates and it will go in the circular files.
When I turned on the debate tonight, the talking heads were so disgusting that I wanted to shoot the TV. Listening to them is like having needles poked in my ears.
I pray for protection for Trump, and I pray fervently that the American people will see through the lies of the GOP globalist candidates and back Mr. Trump. America needs a strong leader who truly loves the nation and her people…

What’s not to like about Mr. Trump who wants to Make America Great Again?
His position on US-China Trade is that we need massive reform. Instead of allowing Wall Street insiders who want to move US manufacturing and investment offshore, we need to bring back jobs to America. He says, “We need smart negotiators who will serve the interests of Americans.”
Tax Reform is very much needed. Mr. Trump says too many jobs have been shipped overseas, and too many middle class families can no longer make ends meet. He has a plan and it includes:
1. Tax relief for middle class Americans: In order to achieve the American dream, let people keep more money in their pockets and increase after-tax wages.
2. Simplify the tax code to reduce the headaches Americans face in preparing their taxes and let everyone keep more of their money.
3. Grow the American economy by discouraging corporate inversions, adding a huge number of new jobs, and making America globally competitive again.
4. Doesn’t add to our debt and deficit, which are already too large.
Our veterans are very important to Mr. Trump, and the guiding principle of his plan is to ensure our veterans have convenient access to the very best care. I couldn’t agree more.
The Trump Plan Will:
1. Ensure our veterans get the care they need wherever and whenever they need it. No more long drives. No more waiting for backlogs. No more excessive red tape. Just the care and support they earned with their service to our country.
2. Support the whole veteran, not just their physical health care, but also by addressing their invisible wounds, investing in our service members’ post-active duty success, transforming the VA to meet the needs of 21st century service members, and better meeting the needs of our female veterans.
3. Make the VA great again by firing the corrupt and incompetent VA executives who let our veterans down, by modernizing the VA, and by empowering the doctors and nurses to ensure our veterans receive the best care available in a timely manner.
Second Amendment Rights - The Donald says protecting our Second Amendment rights will make America great again. He says, “The Constitution doesn’t create that right – it ensures that the government can’t take it away. Our Founding Fathers knew, and our Supreme Court has upheld, that the Second Amendment’s purpose is to guarantee our right to defend ourselves and our families. This is about self-defense, plain and simple.” It is a God given right.
Mr. Trump wants a National Right to Carry, and soldiers on all military bases to be armed. Only logical. Gun and magazine bans, and background checks are basically a failure because criminals will not obey the laws. In reality, these laws are to document gun owners for the federal data base.
It is my opinion that we have the right to carry without the purchase of a permit. That right is granted in the US Constitution, but Trump has gone farther than any politician in the last 60 years in wanting to guarantee our Second Amendment rights.
Immigration Reform is at the top of the list for Donald Trump and it is what has coalesced the people to get behind this man. The mere fact that thousands upon thousands of illegal aliens cross our borders every year, the fact that this administration is bringing in thousands upon thousands of young Muslim refugees into our country now, does not bode well for the safety of American citizens. Donald Trump wants it stopped!
Here are the three core principles of real immigration reform:
1. A nation without borders is not a nation. There must be a wall across the southern border.
2. A nation without laws is not a nation. Laws passed in accordance with our Constitutional system of government must be enforced.
3. A nation that does not serve its own citizens is not a nation. Any immigration plan must improve jobs, wages and security for all Americans.
Trump says Common Core is a disaster, it has ruined American education. He’s also talked about ending Student Data Mining and FERPA in his New Hampshire Speech. [Link]

Kelly Nelson’s recent article: Ted Cruz, Henry Kissinger, and the Globalists, covered a great deal about Ted Cruz, his wife Heidi, and the North American Union. It also covered many of his advisors and their very neo-conservative leftist connections. In the article, I mentioned billionaire Robert Mercer being the top funder for Cruz. Well, guess what the UK Guardian just revealed?
A little-known data company, Cambridge Analytica, now embedded within Cruz’s campaign and indirectly financed by his primary billionaire benefactor, Robert Mercer, paid researchers at Cambridge University to gather detailed psychological profiles about the US electorate using a massive pool of mainly unwitting US Facebook users built with an online survey.
Cambridge Analytica is now using so-called “psychographic profiles” of US citizens in order to help win Cruz votes, despite earlier concerns and red flags from potential survey-takers. They have received at least $750,000 this year from Cruz’s campaign. The “behavioral microtargeting” company has received around $2.5m over the last two years from super Pacs to which Mercer or his family members have donated.
Cruz said his funding and outreach apparatus “is very much the Obama model – a data-driven, grassroots-driven campaign – and it is a reason why our campaign is steadily gathering strength.”
Oh yeah Ted, we all loved the “Obama model.”

Ted Cruz has stated that “School Choice is today’s civil rights issue.” Obviously, he knows that federal law states that if one penny of tax monies go to a private, religious or home schooled child, all the federal regulations go along with it. [Link]
Ted Cruz, the Senator from Texas, has gone on record supporting an Article V convention. This man should know better. The dangers of a Constitutional Convention today are horrendous. Why is a supposedly Constitutional candidate pushing for something that the Left wants so badly? Even more disturbing is the fact that this GOP candidate for President is not only on board with it, but has very close ties to some of the more nefarious plans for the convention. Marco Rubio
Consider the situation with Sheldon Adelson and Marco Rubio.
Adelson is a very wealthy casino owner. He wants cheap labor which means he wants amnesty for illegal aliens. Rubio wants to sell Adelson the amnesty he wants, and Adelson wants to buy Rubio. In the last election, Adelson gave $20 M to Third Waver, Newt Gingrich. Heidi and Alvin Toffler’s “Third Wave” was originally founded by Marx, Hitler, and Plato.
But Adelson’s support is heavily conditioned on his main priorities: a warmongering foreign policy, amnesty, and outlawing internet gambling.
Where does Rubio stand on those issues?
On the foreign policy front, Rubio has been eager to continue the failed policies of regime change in the Middle East. He got his wish in Libya and Egypt and now wants to continue the pattern in Syria. This is the guy whosaid of Iraq, “Well, it’s not nation-building. We are assisting them in building their nation.” For good measure, Rubio recently stated his openness to shooting down Russian jets, a major plus for those who feel we haven’t had a world war recently enough.
On the immigration front, Rubio helped craft the Gang of 8 bill which offered citizenship to illegals, which he later recanted. This so-called conservativeSenator had no problem joining with the likes of the other Gang of Eight senators—Republicans John McCain and Jeff Flake of Arizona and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, and Democrats Dick Durbin of Illinois, Chuck Schumer of New York, Michael Bennet of Colorado, and Robert Menendez of New Jersey. This group leans more towards communism and never heard of old-right Constitutional conservatism.
However, in 2015 he again came out in favor of a pathway to citizenship. Rubio also supports Obama’s executive amnesty. Oh, and he says different things to Hispanic audiences.
Finally, Rubio signed onto a bill to outlaw internet gambling. Of course, Adelson opposes internet gambling because it competes with his brick-and-mortar casino business. These candidates will do anything for money for their campaigns, and then they are beholden to their donors. Trump is the only one who is not.
Rubio’s other donors are equally as troublesome, the Koch brothers, Paul Singer, who attends the World Economic Forum, and dumped hundreds of thousands into Common Core. Singer was also a major financial force behind the Rubio-Obama amnesty and immigration expansion push in 2013. Another donor is Doug Deason who is a member of the Koch brothers’ political network.
Rubio’s donors alone should convince anyone that Marco Rubio is no conservative. More on Rubio in another article.
THE UGLY

Was Hillary Clinton fired from the Watergate investigation when she was a young lawyer of 27? The information came from Democrat Jerry Zeifman, a counsel and chief of staff of the House Judiciary Committee, who supervised Clinton on the Watergate investigation. Zeifman’s 2006 book, “Hillary’s Pursuit of Power,” states that she “… engaged in a variety of self-serving unethical practices in violation of House rules.” [Link]

t would be impossible to list all the lies, flip-flops, scandals, hypocrisy and more that we’ve endured with this woman. I’ll cover just a few, and then link to websites who go through her entire life of deceit and evil.
Whitewater scandal,Chinagate, Travelgate scandal, Vince Foster Jr. Mystery (Read the link entitled “The Man Who Knew too Much.” Filegate Scandal - Craig Livingstone, director of the White House’s Office of Personnel Security “improperly” accessed FBI files on several hundred individuals. Mrs. Clinton called it a, “completely honest bureaucratic snafu.” “Cattle Future’s Miracle,” “Lootergate,” theft of White House furniture, and the Clinton Foundation scandal.
Then there’s Benghazi, where four men died because help was not sent. The White House and Secretary of State claimed it was over an anti-Muslim short film. Ironically, Hillary’s decision to obfuscate and dodge accountability to the public by using a private server for emails at the State Department, may actually be what has allowed her to “survive” an investigation relatively unscathed.

Conclusion
We are in this mess because we have voted the wrong people into office locally and nationally. Remember, not everything that glitters is gold. Not all smooth talkers that smile have your best interests at heart or know what they’re doing. People have ears but can’t hear, they have eyes but can’t see. We as Americans must put on the whole armor of discernment. Look, Obama fooled us twice. Let’s not be fooled again. Remember “Hope and Change”? It’s time to wake up.
Who would you rather have as president to save America? The Good, the Bad, or the Ugly? The choice is up to you, the American electorate. God has given us another chance to save what is left of our beloved Republic. Come election day, please come out in droves and vote, because the enemy will. This is not a conservative, liberal, or independent issue, it’s a survival issue. Do it for the love of God and your children and grandchildren.

A woman awakes during the night
to find that her husband was not in their bed.
She puts on her dressing gown and goes downstairs to look for him..
She finds him sitting at the kitchen table
with a hot cup of coffee in front of him.
He appears to be in deep thought, just staring at the wall.
She watches as he wipes a tear from his eye
and takes a sip of his coffee!!!!
‘What’s the matter, dear?’ she whispers as she steps into the room, ‘Why are you down here at this time of night?’
The husband looks up from his coffee:
‘I am just remembering when we first met 20 years ago and started dating. You were only 16. Do you remember back then?’ … he says solemnly.
The wife is touched to tears thinking that her husband is so caring, so sensitive. ‘Yes, I do honey’… she replies.
The husband pauses. The words were not coming easily..
‘Do you remember when your father caught us in
the back seat of my car?’
‘Yes, I remember!’ said the wife, lowering herself into a chair beside him.
The husband continues. ‘Do you remember when he shoved the shotgun in my face and said, ‘Either you marry my daughter, or I will send you to jail for 20 years?’
‘I remember that too’ she replies softly.
He wipes another tear from his cheek and says…
‘I would have been released today’
