Here, I part ways with Sen. Ted Cruz.
Mr. Cruz has toured the country bragging about his voterless victory in Colorado. For a man who styles himself as a warrior against the establishment (you wouldn’t know it from his list of donors and endorsers), you’d think he would be demanding a vote for Coloradans. Instead, Mr. Cruz is celebrating their disenfranchisement.

The American people can have no faith in such a system. It must be reformed.
Just as I have said that I will reform our unfair trade, immigration and economic policies that have also been rigged against Americans, so too will I work closely with the chairman of the Republican National Committee and top GOP officials to reform our election policies. Together, we will restore the faith—and the franchise—of the American people.
We must leave no doubt that voters, not donors, choose the nominee.
How have we gotten to the point where politicians defend a rigged delegate-selection process with more passion than they have ever defended America’s borders?

In fact, seismologist Roger Bilham of the University of Colorado has made headlines all over the world by warning that “current conditions might trigger at least four earthquakes greater than 8.0 in magnitude”. If his projections are accurate, our planet could be on the precipice of a wave of natural disasters unlike anything that any of us have ever experienced before.

A single magnitude 8.0 earthquake in a populated area would be a disaster of historic proportions.
If we were to see four of them like Roger Bilham is projecting, that would be a complete and utter nightmare.
It is important to keep in mind that a magnitude 8.0 earthquake would be many, many times larger than the twin earthquakes that hit Japan earlier today…
A devastating 6.4-magnitude earthquake has struck Japan hours after a first which killed at least three and injured 19 others.
The quakes, which struck the south-western island of Kyushu, leveled more than a dozen homes, sparked fires and trapped several people under collapsed buildings.
Around 350 military personnel have been dispatched to aid the rescue effort, said Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga.
The first earthquake, measuring 6.5-magnitude, hit the south-east Asian country late on Friday, local time, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.
A 5.9 magnitude earthquake hit off the coast of Mindanao early Thursday, April 14, seismologists said, with no damage or casualties immediately reported and no tsunami warning issued. The quake occurred at 2:21 am (1821 GMT Wednesday) off the coast of Zamboanga del Norte, with its epicenter at a depth of 15 kilometers, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
A magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck Myanmar on Wednesday, causing tremors around the region, including in neighboring Bangladesh where scores were reported injured in stampedes and buildings were damaged. The quake, which took place at a depth of 134 kilometers (83 miles), hit some 400 kilometers northwest of Myanmar’s capital Naypyidaw, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS), and was also felt in parts of India and China. There were no immediate reports of casualties, although the region where the earthquake hit has poor communications infrastructure like many of Myanmar’s outlying provinces.

Just four days ago, on April 10, six people died in Pakistan when a 6.6-magnitude quake hit Kabul with aftershocks in India
Two days before, on April 8, there was a magnitude 4.2 earthquake in Nepal.
Nepal had suffered a larger 5.5 magnitude one on February 22.
A month before, on January 20, there was a 6.1-magnitude earthquake in China, and 16 days earlier 11 people died when a 6.7-magnitude earthquake hit Manipur in India.
In addition, let us not forget about all of the volcanic eruptions that have been in the news in recent weeks.
According to Volcano Discovery, 38 volcanoes around the globe are erupting right now. This is definitely an unusually high number.
In Matthew 24, Jesus warned us that there would be earthquakes in “divers places” just prior to His return. This is something that I discuss quite a bit in my new book. If we truly are in the times that the Bible refers to as “the last days”, we should expect the shaking of our planet to continue to intensify.
If seismologist Roger Bilham is right and we do begin to see a series of absolutely massive earthquakes, that could dramatically change the course of world events literally overnight.
Even a single magnitude 8.0 earthquake in a major city in Japan, China or the United States would cause global markets to crash and would mean billions of dollars in economic damage.
So let us hope that the crust of our planet begins to stabilize, but let us also not ignore the warnings of the scientists.

A transcript of a telephone conversation released by The State Department proves once and for all that Hillary Clinton knowingly lied about the Benghazi attack on the American diplomatic compound there in 2012.
The transcript, obtained under a FOIA request by Judicial Watch, details a call immediately after the attack between the then-secretary of state and then-Egyptian Prime Minister Hisham Kandil.
“We know the attack in Libya had nothing to do with the film,” Clinton told Kandil. “It was a planned attack – not a protest.”
Kandil responded “You’re not kidding. Based on the information we saw today we believe that group that claimed responsibility for this is affiliated with al-Qaida.”

A press statement Clinton released to the American public on September 12th, the same day as this conversation, suggested that the attack was a protest that had been spurred by “inflammatory material posted on the Internet” and then gotten violent.
It was clear, however, that Clinton knew this was not the case. In emails previously revealed as part of the investigation into Hillary’s home server, she also admitted that she knew the YouTube video was not the catalyst for the attack.
When evidence emerged that the massacre was indeed a premeditated terrorist attack, Clinton attributed her false statements to confusion produced by the “fog of war.”
The documents were previously provided to the Select Committee on Benghazi. The release by Judicial Watch marks the first time the public has had access to the files.
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said that the State Department has been holding the documents back purposefully, claiming that the Watchdog group’s request for documents related to the Benghazi attacks did not encompass these particular materials.
“There are two scandals here. The first is Hillary Clinton was telling different stories to different foreign leaders about the Benghazi attack – including an admission that it was a terrorist attack,” Fitton stated.
“The second is the State Department’s cover-up of these documents. The State Department is forcing Judicial Watch to play ‘whack-a-mole’ with Clinton and Benghazi documents. It is no wonder that two frustrated federal court judges granted Judicial Watch discovery into the Clinton FOIA issues.” Fitton urged.

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul has introduced legislation intended to protect the due process rights of veterans and senior citizens who are wrongly prohibited from purchasing a firearm by the federal background check system.
The Protecting Gun Rights and Due Process Act would require veterans and seniors be “adjudicated” as mentally incompetent before their names can be added to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).
“Adjudication requires findings by a judicial officer or court, and the individual receives notice to participate with counsel,” explains a press release from Paul’s office.
Under the new bill, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs and Social Security Administrator would within 90 days need to remove names from the NICS list that were added without those people being adjudicated.
In other words, the bill would require the agencies to wait for due process to take place before they can restrict one’s Second Amendment rights.
“I refuse to stand idly by while the Obama administration unilaterally strips away gun rights from our nation’s veterans and seniors,” Sen. Paul wrote. “The Protecting Gun Rights and Due Process Act will provide necessary protection for gun-owning Americans, and ultimately ensure that the Second Amendment is not infringed upon.”
Additionally the bill would mandate the Attorney General conduct yearly reviews of the names in the NICS database to ensure that their due process rights were upheld, with those who were not adjudicated having their rights restored.
Pro-Second Amendment organizations such as Gun Owners of America and the National Association of Gun Rights have supported the legislation, according to a statement from Paul’s office.
Protecting Gun Rights and Due Process Act
Since at least 2012, the Department of Veterans Affairs has reported veterans to NICS as “mental defective” for the use of a fiduciary to manage a veterans VA benefits. According to the Congressional Research Service, over 99% of all names reported to NICS as “mental defective” are provided by the VA. In President Obama’s Jan. 2016, statement calling for increasing the restrictions on Second Amendment rights, the President called on Social Security Administration and Department of Health and Human Services to finalize rulemaking procedures for reporting individuals to NICS in a similar manner as the VA. State mental health organizations have admitted to “rubberstamping” mental health evaluations, without investigation, which have been used to restrict firearms ownership on the state level. The Protecting Gun Rights and Due Process Act would protect the rights on individuals by ensuring due process rights are upheld in reporting an individual to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System. In addition, the legislation:

Prohibits the sale or disposition of a firearm or ammunition to an individual that has been adjudicated as mentally incompetent or committed to a psychiatric hospital. Adjudication requires findings by a judicial officer or court and the individual receives notice to participate with counsel.

Within 90 days, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs must review and remove from NICS any veteran that has not been adjudicated as mentally incompetent. The Attorney General will certify that the removal of names has taken place.
•
Prevents the Social Security Administrator from reporting individuals to NICS unless individual has been adjudicated as mentally incompetent. Attorney General will conduct a yearly review to certify reported names have necessary documentation.
•
Attorney General must certify a state’s report indicating a person had been adjudicated as mentally incompetent prior to inclusion to NICS.
•
All individuals considered to no longer be adjudicated as mentally incompetent will be notified and have their rights restored. The Protecting Gun Rights and Due Process Act is supported by the National Association of Gun Rights and Gun Owners of America.
Previous questions have surfaced about the 1960s activities of Rafael Cruz, Sr., the father of GOP presidential hopeful Rafael Cruz, Jr. (Ted Cruz).
Based on the presence of the elder Cruz, an anti-Castro activist, in Dallas and New Orleans before the November 22, 1963, assassination of President John F. Kennedy, there is a strong reason to believe that Cruz was associated with Central Intelligence Agency’s anti-Castro operations.
Furthermore, a Cuban hired by alleged JFK assassin Lee Harvey Oswald and who bears a striking resemblance to Cruz is seen in an iconic photograph of Oswald and a group of Cubans Oswald hired who were distributing “Hands off Cuba!” pamphlets in New Orleans in the summer of 1963. The photo of Oswald and other Cubans he hired for the Fair Play for Cuba Committee was taken outside the International Trade Mart in New Orleans on August 16, 1963. WMR has been informed by a source that the individual to Oswald’s left is none other than Rafael Cruz. The photograph at the trade mart was favorably compared to a 1954 photograph of Cruz attached to an official Cuban Ministry of Education document.

Oswald was arrested along with three Cubans on August 9, 1963, not necessarily the same Cubans he was later photographed with at the trade mart, after he got into what is considered to have been a “staged” fight with anti-Castro Cuban activist and lawyer Carlos Bringuier. Before Oswald’s very public fight with Bringuier and Oswald’s subsequent arrest, the ex-Marine offered to help the DRE train its commandos to fight against the Castro government in Cuba.
G. Robert Blakey, the Special Attorney at the Department of Justice in the Organized Crime and Racketeering Section from 1960 to 1964 and the chief counsel of the House Special Committee on Assassinations, affirmed that the men seen with Oswald passing out pamphlets at the trade mart on August 9 were never identified. In fact, Blakey told PBS’s Frontline in 1993, “when he [Oswald] distributed the literature, one of the two people was hired. The other person we’ve never been able to identify.”
On August 9, 1963, Oswald was found guilty of disturbing the peace and he was fined 10 dollars. It is known that Oswald worked with Bringuier and Clay Shaw in anti-Castro activities linked to the CIA. Bringuier’s Student Revolutionary Directorate (DRE), an anti-Castro organization, used the same 544 Camp Street address as Oswald’s Fair Play for Cuba Committee. Moreover, Bringuier had in his possession Oswald’s personal copy of the book, Guidebook for Marines.
On February 11, 2016, WMR provided a history of Cruz’s ties to New Orleans during the time of the CIA’s and organized crime’s plot to kill Kennedy:
In 1957, Rafael Cruz, a former salesman for the U.S. intelligence-linked RCA Corporation, left Cuba for the United States. Cruz claims he fought with Castro against the fascist government of Fulgencio Batista but soured on the revolution. However, Cruz left Cuba two years before the Castro revolution.
Cruz arrived in Austin where he enrolled in the University of Texas. This is a strange story since he claimed he left Cuba with only $100, which he said was sewn into his underwear. Cruz eventually gained U.S. permanent residency and a degree in mathematics from the University of Texas. In 1959, Cruz married Julia Ann Garza and, after Cruz graduated from the University of Texas in 1961, the couple moved to New Orleans from Dallas after the birth of their second daughter on November 18, 1962.
Cruz was in New Orleans during 1963, the year that New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison claimed his city was the focal point for the plot to assassinate President John F. Kennedy. The plot involved a number of Cuban exiles. Accused assassin Lee Harvey Oswald claimed, as part of his “fake defector” persona developed by the Central Intelligence Agency, to be a member of the pro-Castro Fair Play for Cuba Committee. The committee just happened to share an office address with Guy Banister’s private investigation agency.
Guy Banister Associates was located on the ground floor of the Newman Building at 5312 Lafayette Street while Oswald’s “pro-Castro” Fair Play for Cuba Committee was located around the corner but on the ground floor of the same building but with an address of 544 Camp Street. Banister was a retired FBI agent who continued to carry out tasks for the bureau and the CIA. The Newman Building housed a number of anti-Castro groups, including the Cuban Revolutionary Council, Crusade to Free Cuba Committee, the Cuban Democratic Revolutionary Front, Anti-Communist League of the Caribbean, and Friends of Democratic Cuba. While living in New Orleans, Cruz was also active with anti-Castro movements and the chances that he did not cross paths with Banister and the other anti-Castro activists, including CIA agent Sergio Arcacha Smith, are highly unlikely for such a close-knit community at the time.
While living in New Orleans with his wife and two young daughters, Cruz claimed residency at two addresses, one a low-rent apartment building off of Jackson Avenue. Cruz worked for an oil company in New Orleans. He has been less than forthcoming about the details of his time in New Orleans and the time line that included his move from Dallas.
Cruz and his wife Julia divorced in New Orleans or Dallas, allegedly in 1962 or 1963, but this detail is also clouded in mystery. Cruz apparently registered for the draft in 1967 claiming the New Orleans’ Jackson Street address. Draft registration was a requirement for resident aliens like Cruz. Cruz apparently waited until the age of 28 to register for the draft, which, because he waited so long, was a criminal offense at the time. While liable for the draft and possible service in Vietnam, a country where fellow Cuban immigrant Otto Macias gladly volunteered to serve, Cruz took off for Calgary, Canada with his second wife, Eleanor Darragh. Darragh, a native of Delaware who graduated from Rice University in Houston, worked for the same oil company in New Orleans that employed Cruz. Their son, Rafael “Ted” Cruz, Jr., now a candidate for president of the United States, claims that his mother and father worked for the same company in New Orleans but there is actually no record of an Eleanor Darragh Wilson Cruz living in New Orleans at the time.
Eleanor Wilson, married to Fort Worth, Texas native Alan Wilson, lived in London from 1960 to 1966. In 1965, their infant son Michael died from crib death. Alan Wilson, who still lives in London, told McClatchy News Service that Michael was not his son. In his autobiography, Senator Ted Cruz not only claims Michael was the son of his mother and Alan but also claims the baby died in 1965. In fact, Michael, according to London vital statistics records, died in 1966 and well after the Wilsons were divorced. Eleanor Cruz, who lives in Houston, has been mum on her marriage to Wilson and her marriage to Cruz, which lasted from 1969 to 1997. Ted Cruz was born in Calgary in 1970 and there is a major question about his eligibility to serve as president since Cruz maintained Canadian citizenship until 2013.

It’s the time of year again when most Americans will be filing their income taxes. As if that’s not painful enough all by itself, here’s a little more salt for your wounds.
First, some history: In 1913 the U.S. federal individual income tax was enacted following the passage of the 16th Amendment, which granted Washington the authority to take a piece of citizens’ paychecks. According to the Tax Foundation, the top tax rate that year (adjusted for inflation) was 7 percent on income above $11.5 million; the lowest rate was 1 percent on income under $463,826.
Oh, how things have changed. The tax code today is a 76,000-page monstrosity, and the current top marginal rate of 39.6 percent will hit all married filers with taxable income of $466,950 and higher.
According to the Congressional Budget Office, the federal government collected $3.249 trillion in taxes in 2015. Almost half of that amount came from the income tax, meaning that the average income tax per return was $10,300. Most of it is withheld from our paychecks during the year—thanks, Milton Friedman!—and the rest is owed come April. If you’ve over-withheld (i.e., if you extended an interest-free loan to the federal government), you will get a refund.
But don’t go thinking you can refuse the withholding, invest that money, let it grow in the market, and then pay your entire tax bill at the end of the year. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is eager to get its hands on your cash right away, so it penalizes anyone who owes more than $1,000 (after subtracting their withholding and estimated tax payments) or who’s paid less than 90 percent of their tax burden for the current year or 100 percent of their tax burden for the prior one—whichever is smaller. With the IRS, each time you play, you lose.
Not everyone owes $10,000 per year, of course. The federal income tax is progressive, which means the top earners pay a much larger share of the tab. According to IRS statistics, in 2013 the top 1 percent of households paid about 37 percent of federal income tax revenues collected, while the top 10 percent paid roughly 70 cents of every dollar collected through the federal income tax.
