Losing the War on Islamic Terrorism

Politically Short

Flag_of_the_Muslim_Brotherhood

“A national security professional’s duty is not to know true Islam; it is to identify and establish a functional threat doctrine, regardless of whether that doctrine accurately tracks with ‘true’ Islam or not. What matters is that we understand the enemy’s doctrines, not whether he is correct about them,” writes Stephen Coughlin in his most recent book Catastrophic Failure: Blindfolding America in the Face of Jihad.

Detailing how the War on Terror has effectively been lost through decision making that is increasingly less focused on the threat as it presents itself and more on the narratives that have reduced the threat to a nameless abstraction, Coughlin notes, “Today, individuals with Muslim Brotherhood affiliations dictate who can and cannot work for the government on War on Terror issues. They also dictate what can and cannot be discussed.”

“As long as they can keep us from understanding the enemy doctrine, they can…

Fellowship of the Minds

Here’s yet another way our feral [sic] government is using the “War on Terror” to restrict our freedom.

On May 11, 2005, exploiting Americans’ fear of terrorism after 9/11, Congress and the Bush administration enacted the Real I.D. Act in the name of national security. (See “National ID card for every American“)

Real I.D. is an effective National ID card. All 50 constituent States in America are required to federalize their driver’s licenses by making them conform to national federal standards. Even non-drivers will be issued an ID card, thereby putting the lie to Real ID being just a driver’s license. That ID card contains all sorts of information on you which are entered into a national database and accessible and shared by the 50 state authorities. The information includes:

  • Information that’s on your driver’s license now: birthdate and address;
  • Your Social Security number;
  • Proof of citizenship or immigration status;
  • Reportedly…

Did Trump already reveal his tax plan?

BY AARON KLEIN FOR WND.COM

DONNIE

Donald Trump

During the second Republican presidential debate last Wednesday, Donald Trump teased the tax plan he says he will be releasing in about two weeks, calling it a “major reduction for the middle class.”

“What I’d like to do, and I’ll be putting in the plan in about two weeks, and I think people are going to like it, it’s a major reduction in taxes,” he said. “It’s a major reduction for the middle class. The hedge fund guys won’t like me as much as they like me right now. I know them all, but they’ll pay more.”

Donald Trump’s the man with a plan to put America on a different path. Get “Time to Get Tough: Make America Great Again!” (Paperback)

“I know people that are making a tremendous amount of money and paying virtually no tax, and I think it’s unfair,” he said.

One week earlier, on CBS’s “Face The Nation,” Trump said of his coming tax blueprint: “We have an amazing tax plan … We’re going to be reducing taxes for the middle class, but for the hedge fund guys, they’re going to be paying up.”

While Trump has yet to unveil his plan, largely ignored by media is that in his 2011 book, “Time to Get Tough: Making America #1 Again,” he laid out a plan to completely transform the tax code with a uniform proposal for all Americans to pay lower taxes.

Trump’s revenue prescription, which he labeled his 1-5-10-15 income tax plan in the book four years ago, could form the basis for his campaign’s platform on the issue.

In the book, Trump wrote that his plan is so simple, it could eliminate the need for accountants and tax preparers, which he referenced during last week’s debate when he complained that someone making $50,000 a year “has to hire H&R Block to do the – because it’s so complicated.”

He wrote in 2011: “Imagine your paycheck was 40 percent higher than it currently is. What could you do with 40 percent more wealth? How many jobs and opportunities for others could you create?

“The longer you really think about it the madder you will get,” he wrote, “especially when you consider the waste, fraud, and abuse the federal government traffics in as it inflicts its self-defeating policies on hard-working Americans.”

Here’s Trump’s proposed income-tax plan as outlined in his 2011 book:

  • Those making up to $30,000 will pay 1 percent.
  • Income from $30,000 to $100,000 is assessed a flat 5 percent tax.
  • $100,000 to $1 million income will be taxed at 10 percent.
  • $1 million or above will be taxed 15 percent.

“It’s clear and fair,” wrote Trump in the book. “Best of all, it can be filled out on the back of a postcard and will save Americans big bucks on accountants and massive amounts of time wasted attempting to decipher the tax code.”

WND’s Superstore is Election 2016 Central. Support your favorite candidate with a bumper sticker.

In the book, Trump offered a five-point economic plan “that encourages growth, savings, and investment.”

Here is a WND summary of his five points:

  1. Abolish the estate or “death” tax

“It’s immoral for the government to tax you after you’re dead,” he wrote, “to seize a portion of your money and property that you spent your life building up, and on which you already paid taxes. Your children deserve your estate, not the federal government.”

In April, Obama proposed changes to the estate tax that critics say could bring the death tax to an effective rate of 57 percent. Adding in state inheritance taxes, the rate would average 65 percent but could go as high as 67 percent, according to a Heritage Foundation analysis.

Writing in 2011, when Obama proposed moving the death tax to an effective 45 percent, Trump cited a study by former Congressional Budget Office Director Douglas Holtz-Eakin, who found that the 45 percent rate “is a proven jobs killer, because it will strip $1.6 trillion of small business capital out of the hands of job creators.”

Holtz-Eakin predicted a loss of 1.5 million new jobs.

  1. Lower tax rates on capital gains and dividends

Trump labeled these as “two more taxes that are proven jobs and investment killers.”

“Capitalism requires capital,” he explained. “When government robs capital from investors, it takes away the money that creates jobs – real private sector jobs that contribute to the health of our economy.”

  1. Lowering the U.S. corporate tax rate from 39 percent to zero to help create jobs
  2. Punish companies that outsource jobs overseas with a 20 percent tax hike

The billionaire also suggested lowering to zero the tax rate for companies that outsourced overseas but decided to return to the U.S.

“Bottom line: hire American workers and you win. Send jobs overseas, and you may be fine, but you will pay a tax,” he wrote.

Why GOP Congressional Leaders Support the Iran Deal in Fact — Follow the Money

My comments: I am not a fan of Buckley’s National Review. Neither was I ever a fan of neo-conservative, William F. Buckley. For a full overview of his membership in the CFR, CIA agent, and Skull and Bonesman, read John McManus’s book, WILLIAM F. BUCKLEY, PIED PIPER FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT.

Nevertheless, this is a piece from McCarthy with some value.

By Andrew C. McCarthy — for NATIONALREVIEW.COM

‘Why on earth would Republicans do that?” That is a question I’ve been asked at least a dozen times since illustrating that the GOP has played a cynical game in connection with President Obama’s Iran deal.

“Follow the money” is a common answer to questions about political motivation. It may not explain everything in this case, but it is certainly relevant.

This spring, Republican leadership colluded with the White House and congressional Democrats to enact a law — the Corker-Cardin Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act — that guaranteed Obama would be authorized to lift sanctions against Iran (the main objective of the terrorist regime in Tehran). The rigged law authorized Obama to lift sanctions as long as Republicans could not pass a resolution of disapproval. As Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Speaker John Boehner, Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker, and other GOP leaders well knew, there was no way they would ever be able to enact a disapproval resolution over Obama’s veto. But the process choreographed by Corker-Cardin meant they would be able to complain about the deal and vote to disapprove it — thereby creating the impression that they were staunchly against the lifting of sanctions that they had already authorized.

Why on earth would Republicans do that? Well, their incentive to obscure the earlier approval vote with the theater of a futile disapproval process is clear: The Iran deal is intensely unpopular among the GOP’s base supporters, just as it is unpopular across the country. Incumbents who hope to be reelected want to be perceived as staunch opponents of the things their constituents abhor. But why isn’t this perception the reality — why wouldn’t GOP congressional leaders actually be staunch opponents? Why wouldn’t they zealously use their every power to stop the deal?

Perhaps because not all Republican backers object to Obama’s Iran deal. The deal’s enthusiasts may be a tiny minority of GOP supporters, but they represent big bucks. Often in Washington, the numbers that matter are measured in dollars, not votes.

Take Boeing, for example.

Based in Chicago, Boeing is the world’s largest aerospace company, with revenues expected to surge past $96 billion this year. It is a major GOP donor. It gives mountains of money to Democrats, too, but the lion’s share of its political contributions go to Republicans.

For the 2014 campaign cycle, according to OpenSecrets.org, the company gave about 60 percent of its whopping $3,250,000 in donations to the GOP. Major recipients included such establishment pillars as the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Congressional Committee ($38,000 each), and the National Republican Senatorial Committee ($33,000). Significant contributions were also made to McConnell ($13,000), Boehner ($25,000), Senator Lindsey Graham ($39,000), and many others. And that’s apart from the nearly $17 million the company spent in 2014 on lobbyists, 80 percent of whom have transitioned to the other end of the trough after careers in government.

It just so happens that Boeing stands to reap huge money from Obama’s lifting of the sanctions.

Iran’s airline industry has been crippled by these severe restrictions, which are aimed against commerce connected to the regime’s illegal uranium enrichment, terror promotion, and weapons trafficking. Once the sanctions are lifted, the mullahs are expected to order up at least 100 new aircraft in just the next year, and 400 over the next decade. That means tens of billions of dollars in sales for manufacturers positioned to satisfy those pressing needs.

No company is better positioned than Boeing. It not only has the models Iran wants and the production capacity to fill huge orders. Boeing also ingratiated itself with the mullahs last year by leaping into action when President Obama, eager to keep Iran at the negotiating table, granted some limited sanctions relief. Reuters reported that the company “sold aircraft manuals, drawings, charts and data to Iran Air.”

Interesting thing about that: Iran Air, the national carrier, is most notorious for providing material support to the barbaric Assad regime in Syria and the Hezbollah terrorist network that props it up.

As detailed earlier this week in an important report by Emanuele Ottolenghi and Ben Weinthal of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (published by Politico’s European edition), the U.S. Treasury Department designated Iran Air as a proliferator of weapons of mass destruction in 2011, ordering the freezing of its assets. Serving as an arm of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (the force principally responsible for killing hundreds of American troops in Iraq and 19 American airmen in the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia), Iran Air transported rockets and missiles, as well as military personnel and weapons, to Syria. It also violated a U.N. arms embargo by sending along dual-use materials that can be converted to military applications.

Oh . . . and given that Obama’s Iran deal depends on the terrorist regime’s good-faith cooperation with inspectors and compliance with restrictions on its nuclear work, it is probably worth mentioning how Iran Air managed to carry out its WMD proliferation: as Messrs. Ottolenghi and Weinthal explain, it systematically lied about the content of the cargo on its flights. Nevertheless, in the implementation of the Iran deal approved by Corker-Cardin, Obama will be dropping the designation against Iran Air.

To sum up: Obama cuts a deal with Iran. The implementation of the deal is abetted by legislation pushed by the Republican-controlled Congress despite massive opposition from the GOP base. Under the deal, a major GOP donor stands to make billions selling aircraft to Iran. Iran will use the aircraft to fortify the Assad regime (which Obama and GOP leadership claim to want to topple) and to promote terrorism by networks with a history of murdering Americans.

See? Everybody wins, right?

Well, everybody except those of us whose idea of a win involves cashiering, not cashing in on, a mortal enemy of the United States. That happens to be a vast number of people . . . in case you were wondering why the Republican candidates now topping the polls are the outsiders running against the Beltway GOP establishment.

Muslim migrants target nations with higher wages

BY BOB UNRUH FOR WND.COM

MIGRANTS

An Islam expert is criticizing the extreme demands of mostly Muslim migrants from the Middle East who seek asylum in nations with the highest wages.

“And for what job are they being paid?” writes Islam expert Robert Spencer at Jihad Watch.

“Proving Europe’s multicultural bona fides?”

His retort came after the London Express reported migrants from Syria “are demanding they are allowed to go to Sweden or Finland because the terms of asylum are more favorable for them.”

The report quoted asylum seeker Marwen el Mohammed giving his reasons.

He said he wants to avoid Denmark because “the salary for refugees decreased about 50 percent from 10,000 kroner, about $1,500, to about 5,000 kroner.

Further, he said in the report, Finland and other countries allow families to join together “within two or three months,” but Denmark requires them to wait a year.

The Express report noted the Danish government “recently tightened immigration laws in the wake of thousands of migrants entering Europe seeking asylum.”

“Danish authorities agreed to cut social benefits for new refugees by 50 per cent while foreign nationals must wait at least five years for a permanent residence permit – and they must be able to speak Danish.”

Read what conservative icon Ann Coulter has to say about America’s borders, in “Adios, America!”

The moves are just part of Europe’s response to the tens of thousands of people fleeing Syria, where Muslim factions have been warring for years, and Libya, where Islamic gangs rule many regions.

Eurozone nations, including Hungary, Poland and Austria, are restoring border controls.

Meanwhile, U.S. national security officials have discussed boosting the projected number of refugees accepted from 70,000 in 2015 to 85,000 in 2016 and then 100,000 in 2017.

President Obama has called for cooperation from European countries on the migrant problem. The Department of Homeland Security and the State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration say there is resistance to a flood of newcomers, and Democrats and Republicans are divided on the issue.

Democrats charge that the U.S. isn’t doing enough, while top GOP officials have warned that taking Syrian refugees creates a national security risk, as terror-seeking individuals may come to the country amid those who truly are fleeing violence.

ISIS has confirmed its intent to infiltrate the West through the flow of migrants.

The problems associated with mass migration, as WND also reported, have been aggravated by an epidemic of rape at Muslim-dominated refugee centers in Germany.

According to a document posted in German by Pamela Geller on her website, women are “assigned a subordinate role” and unaccompanied females are treated as “fair game.” Many of these women, according to the document, are fleeing “forced marriage” and/or “female genital mutilation.” The consequences are numerous rapes, sexual assaults and prostitution.

A report by France24 confirms the same tragic situation in Calais, France, where 3,000 migrants from the Middle East and Africa are crowded into a tent city awaiting passage to Britain.

“I’m surrounded by men,” the 22-year-old Syrian woman, Milad, told France24. “I don’t know anything about most of them. I don’t speak their language, I don’t know where they’re from and what they’ve lived through. So I have to be on my guard.”

Rep. McCaul, R-Texas, said Obama’s plans for tens of thousands of more Syrian refugees being brought to the U.S. “reckless and dangerous.”

US government says it will now use the term ‘sexual rights’

My Comments: This of course from a leftist rag, and every day this insanity grows worse.

UNITED NATIONS — The U.S. government says it will begin using the term “sexual rights” in discussions of human rights and global development.

The statement at a U.N. meeting this week comes after years of lobbying from groups who have argued that the U.S. should show global leadership on the rights of people of all gender identities and sexual orientations.

The statement, posted on a State Department website, says sexual rights include people’s “right to have control over and decide freely and responsibly on matters related to their sexuality, including sexual and reproductive health, free of coercion, discrimination, and violence.”

The Washington-based Center for Health and Gender Equity pointed out the statement Thursday and said it was delighted.

“On one level, it’s symbolic. It also sends a signal to the global community that sexual and reproductive health and rights are a part of the global development agenda,” Serra Sippel, the center’s president, told The Associated Press. She said it follows “huge strides” made under the Obama administration on LGBT issues.

The announcement comes days before more than 150 world leaders gather at the U.N. to launch an ambitious set of development goals, including one of gender equality. One of the agenda’s many targets is to ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights by 2030.

The new U.S. use of “sexual rights” is at odds with more conservative states. The Holy See’s mission to the U.N. did not comment Friday but pointed to a statement it made on the development goals Sept. 1 that reaffirmed its “well-known position concerning those family-planning methods which the Catholic Church considers morally acceptable.”

Noting the term “sexual and reproductive rights” and similar terms, the statement reiterated the Holy See’s stance against abortion and noted that its understanding of gender is “grounded in the biological sexual identity that is male or female.”

Speaking at a meeting of the U.N. women’s agency Tuesday, Richard Erdman, a deputy U.S. ambassador to the U.N., said the United States would use the term “sexual rights” for those that are not legally binding.

“Sexual rights are not human rights, and they are not enshrined in international human rights law; our use of this term does not reflect a view that they are part of customary international law,” he said. “It is, however, a critical expression of our support for the rights and dignity of all individuals regardless of their sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity.”

Nevertheless, Sippel described the U.S. decision as “the United States catching up with the rest of the world.”

35 MILLION migrants heading to Europe, says Hungary as it builds second fence

2SHOCK estimates predict up to 35 MILLION refugees could head for Europe due to hugely unstable situations across the world.

MIGRANTS

Migrants seen rioting at the Serbia/Hungary border this week

The huge figure was revealed today by Hungary’s minister for foreign affairs and trade Peter Szijjártó.

Speaking as the country begins work on its second fence to stop migrants heading across its border he predicted the current crisis will continue for years.

Mr Szijjártó told the Hungarian Times: “The name of the fence is ‘Temporary Security Border Fence’ but I think there is no question that in this case temporary means years.

“It’s a self delusion to call this situation a migration crisis; it is a massive migration of nations, with inexhaustible reserves.

“I don’t think that the analysis results, stating that 30-35 million people out there could possibly become migrants, would be an exaggeration.

Libya, Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan are all countries with a huge population and an extremely unstable situation.”

The Hungarian government also defended itself from criticism over its fences.

It comes as a ten-year-old migrant boy with a severe lung condition died in Hungary.

His mother and siblings successfully made the journey to Germany but his father stayed behind with the poorly youngster, who was buried on Friday.

The first barrier was put up at its border with Serbia but, after migrants changed their route, they have now begun erecting a 41 kilometre fence at Croatia.

Migrants look to break through to Hungary as that sees them enter the European Union’s Schengen Zone which offers free movement between member countries.

He said: “The recent international political decisions created an unstable situation around Europe that makes sure that the amount of people won’t decrease.

Peter SzijjártóGETTY

Peter Szijjártó said estimates of 30-35 million were likely true

“This is why it’s extremely important to protect our borders.

“This issue wasn’t this important until now, so the European Union neglected it a little bit.

“It became clear that - though its the border of Schengen - Greece couldn’t protect the border of the European Union.

The Hungarian/Serbian border is another border of Schengen. If we want to follow the orders of Schengen, we have to build a physical obstruction, because this 175 km long area is quite easy to cross.

“The European Union just realised what the Schengen border means.

“If we want to keep the freedom of movement in the European Union, we have to protect the outer borders.”

Putin Invites Erdogan, Rohani, Abbas to Opening of Largest Mosque in Europe

REPOSTED FROM THE LATIN AMERICAN HERALD

MOSCOW – The presidents of Iran, Hassan Rohani, and Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas have been invited by Russian president Vladimir Putin to attend the opening of the largest mosque in Europe on Sept. 23 in Moscow.

The Kremlin said on Friday that Putin has personally invited them to the ceremony to be held in the Russian capital, after which they are going to hold bilateral meetings.

The Council of Muftis of Russia told EFE that Putin will chair the Wednesday opening of the Grand Mosque in Moscow, which will accommodate more than 10,000 worshipers.

The mosque, which will have a space of more than 18,000 square meters and a height comparable to that of a six-story building, will open its doors on the occasion of the Islamic Feast of Sacrifice (Eid-al Adha).

The mosque was constructed on the remains of one built in 1904.

Moscow is the second city with the most Muslims in Europe after Paris, with a million and a half, between residents and migrants from the Caucasus and Central Asia.

Russia is home to about 23 million Muslims, according to the Council of Muftis, mostly in Moscow, the North Caucasus and the republics of Tatarstan and Bashkiria.

However, Putin, an avowed Orthodox Christian, has made it clear that Russia is a secular country and has stopped any attempt, for example, for Muslim girls to wear headscarves in schools.
