Some Christian colleges and universities have begun to capitulate following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to redefine marriage.

REPOSTED FROM ONENEWSNOW.COM

Hope College, Belmont University, and Baylor University have all changed some policies to accommodate homosexual students and employees.

natural marriageCultural analyst Laurie Higgins of theIllinois Family Institute says parents need to do some “serious investigating” before sending their children to what they believe is a conservative college that is theologically orthodox.

Reporting on Baylor, The Washington Post said its board of regents dropped the words “homosexual acts” and other sexual references from the school’s new sexual misconduct policy.

An official with the school told the Post the language was changed to reflect Baylor’s “caring community.”

Baylor, located in Waco, Texas, is a private Baptist university.

The same story said Hope College in Michigan and Belmont in Nashville will provide benefits for same-sex couples following the Supreme Court decision.

Belmont, a nondenominational school, will offer benefits to “all legally married couples,” a school spokesman told Christianity Today.

Higgins predicts this is just the beginning. Other schools will undoubtedly do the same, she predicts.

“Because the homsexual community will not tolerate religious freedom,” she tells OneNewsNow.

Why is David Barton 100% Wrong To Tell Glenn Beck The Third Great Awakening Has Begun?

The following is an excerpt from Brannon’s new book: The Coming Religious Reich: Exposing the Sinister Influences Sweeping The World Toward A Satanic Global Empire. Click here to order your copy now: http://www.worldviewweekend.com/products/books/coming-religious-reich

I had predicted in 2010 (specifically on my September 14, 2026 radio program) that it would not be long before the worldview of the NAR and New Age, Mormon Glenn Beck merged, but how did I know this? Simply because most false teachings eventually merge. Since this has happened time and time again, I can say confidently that over the coming years you will see a syncretism you never thought possible as the religious Reich develops.

Since 2010 we have seen Glenn Beck and proponents of the New Apostolic Reformation together. To mark the five year anniversary of his 8/28/2010 rally in D.C, for instance, Glenn Beck held an 8/28 rally in Birmingham, Alabama in 2015 called Restoring Unity. This time the event was actually co-sponsored with NAR proponent Jim Lowe. Lowe’s website states that he is the pastor of The Guiding Light Church in Birmingham, but what jumped out at me in his bio was the following:

“On May 6, 2003, James L. Lowe Jr. was ordained as a bishop by the International Communion of Charismatic Churches and Bishop Earl Paulk in the Cathedral at Chapel Hills—Decatur, Georgia.”

As soon as I saw that Lowe had been ordained by Earl Paulk, it made sense why Mormon Glenn Beck and Lowe were working together. The late Paulk was one of the most radical of the Word of Faith/New Apostolic Reformation leaders. I wrote about Paulk in Religious Trojan Horse and warned that it was only a matter of time before Mormons, the Word of Faith, and NAR got together in their joint love of another Jesus, a different gospel, and their radical dominion theology. Paulk promoted the Manifested Sons of God theology, also called Omega Children, Joel’s Army, and Overcoming Bride.

Jewel Grewe, wife of an Assemblies of God pastor, has been researching the Manifested Sons of God theology since the early 1980s. She and her husband, like many within the AOG, became concerned when this heresy began to surface in more and more churches. In 1991, Jewel released a report (even more relevant today than when it was released) entitled “Joel’s Army” in which she correctly identifies four problems with the Manifested Sons of God heresy:

“The claim to perfection through progressive revelations beyond Scriptures;

The written Word of God is held in low esteem and experiential knowledge very high;

The Word of God is perceived as a symbolic book;

The claim that the “god-man” dwells in every member and is waiting to be discovered and manifest by the believers.”

Paulk, who died in 2009 after being the pastor of a large Pentecostal church in Georgia, held this view on the Manifested Sons of God:

“Jesus Christ has now done all He can do, and He waits at the right hand of His Father, until you and I as sons of God, become manifest and make this world His footstool. He is waiting for us to say ‘Jesus, we have made the kingdoms of this world the Kingdom of our God, and we are ruling and reigning in Your world. Even so, come Lord Jesus.'”

It is a humanistic blasphemy to believe God is waiting in heaven, helpless until man reclaims the world and the culture, takes dominion like some Christian Taliban, and then hands it all over to God so He can send Jesus back to earth to accept the kingdom we have built for Him. The proponents of the Manifested Sons of God point to Romans 8:19 as justification for their heresy: “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.” Like so many of their beliefs, this is based on a misinterpretation of Scripture through spiritual allegorizing. The Romans 8:18-23 passage is talking about believers returning with Jesus Christ at the Second Coming in their resurrected bodies. At that time, Christ restores creation as it was before the fall and sets up His millennial kingdom. The Romans passage cannot be correctly interpreted to produce the belief that Christians on earth become the sinless sons of God who raise the dead and establish God’s kingdom on earth.

The quest for global dominion and cultural renewal is why NAR proponents are interested in ecumenicalism. Paulk describes his ecumenical strategy this way:

“What would a meeting be like which brought together liberal evangelicals, such as we are, conservative theologians, represented by Holiness groups and Southern Baptists, and Catholics. Seventh-Day Adventists, and members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints? Many of these groups have become so different that we almost regard them as enemies, rather than as brothers and sisters in the faith. How can we step over these walls that have been built so high?”

To justify such unbiblical ecumenicalism, Paulk, and others like him, take the Apostle Paul out of context. Paulk writes:

“It is my honest opinion that the Kingdom of God cannot come to pass until “we all come in the unity of the faith.” He specifically does not say anything about doctrine, because he is not concerned about doctrinal points. As long as the world of religion continues to act as it is acting now, there will never be a Kingdom of God in reality. For so long as we have said, “Why don’t the Seventh-Day Adventists change? Why don’t the Mormons change?” Perhaps we should be the ones to change.”

Paulk clearly does not recognize any doctrinal distinction between Mormons, Catholics, Seventh-Day Adventists, and others, and what he hoped for is happening now. My friend and excellent Bible teacher Tommy Ice exposes the problems with Paulk’s thinking:

“We have searched the Bible in vain for the passage which Paulk has in mind where Paul lays down the unity of the faith as a condition for the coming in of the Kingdom. He seems to have in mind Ephesians 4:13. But the Kingdom of God is not even found in this context…How can Paulk say that Paul is not talking about doctrine. The phrase “the faith” is a synonym for doctrine or teaching. Paul is using it in the objective sense—the content of what we believe. Paul contrasts the faith in verse 13, with “every wind of doctrine” in verse 14. So it does have something to do with doctrine. The unity to be achieved is a unity of the faith. This is supposed to protect the Church from being tossed around by false doctrine (v. 14), like Mormonism. Apparently Paulk has not attained to a unity of the faith, or he would not be interested in merging with Mormons.”

This brings us to the August 31st, 2015 headline on Glenn Beck’s website that read: “David Barton tells Glenn he thinks the Third Great Awakening has now begun.”

Glenn on his radio program explained that he had David Barton were having a conversation on the plan on the way back from the rally in Birmingham with James L. Lowe Jr. and David Barton announced to Glenn that the third great awakening was under way. Here is how Glenn explained this conversation:

“I think this is — I think we’re at the beginning. I flew back with David Barton yesterday. And David said, just matter-of-factly, he said, we’re in the awakening. And I said, I leaned up and I said, hold on. What did you just say. And he said, we’re in the awakening. And I said, the third great awakening? And he said, oh, yeah. I truly believe it’s happening now. That’s great that’s great. He’s the one that told me about the great awakening. He’s like, we need the great awakening to happen. And we had people of all different faiths walking together.”

Glenn continued:

“So we had people from all different faiths. One of the leaders from the Southern Baptist Convention was there. Leaders from all different churches were there. Pastors, priests. All marching together.”

David Barton could not be more wrong! You cannot have a Biblical revival or Biblical, spiritual awakening when people like Barton and Beck are proclaiming false theology and uniting in unbiblical, spiritual enterprises that God’s Word declares will bring the opposite of God’s blessing as described in 2 Corinthians 6:14-17.

It appears as though Paulk got his wish as we now see so-called evangelicals, Mormons, Catholics, and numerous false religions uniting. Despite what David Barton might think, what took place in Alabama at Mormon Glenn Beck’s events are not signs of a Biblical awakening but further evidence that God has given over America as described in Romans 1.

The late Vance Havner warned about proclamations from people like David Barton and Glenn Beck when he warned:

“I am more afraid of false revival than of no revival—a false revival with a false gospel, false evangelists, false converts, false joy. It will seem so genuine that it would deceive, if possible, the very elect. Many church leaders will endorse it. Other good people will be afraid to oppose it for fear that they might be fighting against God.”

The Little Shofar Of Bergen-Belsen

My Comments: This is an absolutely marvelous story of how our God works, His wonders/miracles to perform. Please read this amazing story all the way through…it will give you chills. God is so very good to us, even in the worst circumstances, He is still there.

REPOSTED FROM HINENI.ORG

There are certain stories that are so inspirational, so powerful, that they are forever engraved on my soul.

“Rebbetzin,” people always say, “tell the Rosh Hashanah story.”

The story unfolded more than 70 years ago in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. My father, HaRav HaTzaddik Avraham HaLevi Jungreis, zt”l, was confronted by the challenge of observing Rosh Hashanah in that hellhole on earth.

What is the essence of Rosh Hashanah if not the awesome call of the shofar? Every Jew must listen to it. Parents even bring their small children into the sanctuary for that holy moment when the sounds of the shofar reverberate throughout the synagogue.

But in Bergen-Belsen there was no shofar. Only demons. But the demons of Bergen-Belsen did not realize with whom and with what they were contending. There is no power on earth that can silence our shofar – the shofar of the Torah, the shofar of faith, the shofar of Mashiach.

Throughout our long, painful history, every Jew-hating nation that tried to exterminate us failed. We triumphed with shofar in hand, awaiting that final call of our redemption.

Thus in Bergen-Belsen my father and other rabbonim held a secret meeting and concluded that a shofar must be procured. They were determined that Rosh Hashanah not pass without the blowing of the shofar.

A plan was forged: At great sacrifice we would gather cigarettes – a powerful currency in the concentration camps – and have someone with access to the junk pile where our holy items were strewn retrieve a shofar for us.

And so when Rosh Hashanah arrived, the shofar was blown. The sound electrified everyone. It made all who heard it tremble and weep. Adjacent to us was a camp for Polish Jews. The Nazis separated us not only by electrified barbed wire but by nationality as well. Our Polish brethren came running so that they might better hear the call that uniquely belongs to the Jewish people.

The Nazis also came running and beat us with their truncheons and whips, but not before the blessing was proclaimed and we all cried out “Amen!”

We were bleeding and our wounds were deep and raw but we stood erect. We were Jews and no whip could silence our prayer. No threat – not even the gas chambers – could make us relinquish our shofar and give up our faith.

Many years later I was lecturing in Israel in a village in Samaria called Neve Aliza. It was late summer, just before Rosh Hashanah, and I felt a need to tell the story of the shofar of Bergen-Belsen. When I finished, a woman in the audience got up.

“I know exactly what you are talking about,” she said, “because my father was the rabbi in the Polish compound. You may not realize this, but your shofar was smuggled into our camp in the bottom of a large garbage can filled with soup and my father blew the shofar for us.”

I looked at her, momentarily speechless.

“And that’s not all,” she went on to say. “I have the shofar in my house, here in Neve Aliza. When we were liberated, we blew the shofar again and my father took it with him. Today I have it here in Eretz Yisrael.”

With that, she ran home and returned a few minutes later with the shofar in her hands. She was holding it with more care than should have held jewels valued at millions of dollars. We wept and embraced.

Here we were, two little girls from Bergen-Belsen in the hills of Israel. And that little shofar from Bergen-Belsen was also in Eretz Yisrael – in the hands of the Jewish people Hitler was so determined to exterminate.

The entire world had declared us dead. Millions of our people had been slaughtered but the shofar, the symbol of Jewish piety, triumphed over the flames. And G-d had granted me the awesome privilege of rediscovering that shofar in the ancient hills of Samaria to which our people had miraculously returned after more than two thousand years of wandering, darkness, oppression, and Holocaust.

The call of the shofar is eternal. Its magnetic allurement cannot be explained. It is not musical. Those who lack understanding might describe its sound as primitive. But when the Jewish people hear the cry, it is familiar. It awakens us. We heard that cry before and we remember it. We heard it at Sinai when it entered our souls and it is forever embedded in our collective memory, in our inner hearts, in our very neshamahs.

Our generation has been blessed to behold that which our zaidies and bubbies only dreamed of. The Jewish people have returned home. We heard and saw the chief rabbi of the Israeli army blow the shofar at the Kotel and in Hebron and Kever Rochel after long centuries of exile. Its sound remains as fresh and inspiring as it was at Sinai.

From Belgen-Belsen to Eretz Yisrael and back to Sinai. That would seem sufficient reason for every Jew to stand in awe and say, “Hineni – here I am, ready to serve my G-d.”

May the sound of the shofar that will summon us to welcome Mashiach be heard speedily in our day.

With a heart full of prayers, blessings, and love I wish my readers and all of Klal Yisrael a kesivah v’chasimah tovah.

Where are the best places in the US for our new Syrian refugee friends?

BY ED STRAKER FOR AMERICANTHINKER.COM

Will Rogers once said, “A stranger is just a friend you haven’t met yet.” That’s how I feel about the 10,000 or more refugees Obama has promised to bring to America. I want them to move to my little town. I want my hometown to have the very best modern traditions from Damascus, Aleppo, and Raqqah brought to my doorstep. If I can’t move to the Middle East, the next best thing is to bring the Middle East here and have it all around me.

But unfortunately, my hometown doesn’t have space for our Sunni and Shia future friends. Most of our multi-family homes and apartments are filled with other visitors who are as high on virtue as they are low on documentation. So I started wondering: what is the best place for all our soon to be great Syrian friends? Here’s what I came up with:

1) Santa Monica, California. Santa Monica would be perfect for many Middle Eastern refugees. There is a wonderful pier and walkway along the beach filled with tons of bikini-clad women who love diversity and would surely welcome more of it. Santa Monica also has the advantage of being near Hollywood. Hollywood always has need of Arab actors to play heroes or helpless victims in movies about the CIA and American businesses manipulating the Middle East to their own end.

2) Greenwich Village, New York City. Sunni and Shia refugees with ultra-religious attitudes would be perfect for Greenwich Village. It’s so culturally rich – with restaurants and gay bars with transvestites, not to mention the annual gay nude Halloween Parade. It’s also probably one of the few places where transgendered Muslim men can find burkas made especially for men. Putting fundamentalist Muslim sympathizers together with gays has an additional benefit – each can help the other out with their prejudices. Gays can help fundamentalist Muslims with their homophobia, and fundamentalist Muslims can help gays with their Islamophobia. Before you know it, they will all be holding hands.

3) Washington, D.C. It would be great for these Middle Eastern Muslims of unknown background to settle in the Capitol Hill area of Washington, D.C. They would be fascinated to go onto Capitol Hill itself and visit with the House of Representatives, as well as the Senate. They would also have easy access to the offices of members of Congress, and they could generate goodwill by dropping by and saying hello. Members of Congress are so numerous that oftentimes you don’t even need to go into the Capitol to see them; they can be encountered walking on the street. I think our new unvetted guests would enjoy the opportunity to strike up impromptu encounters with congressmen, and we all would benefit from the resulting exchanges, don’t you think?

4) Minneapolis, Minnesota. Minneapolis has a small problem with radicalized Somali Muslims. The Syrian Muslims can help by moving in and keeping an eye out for their radicalized brethren.

5) The Aleutian Islands. After spending all their lives in the hot desert, the Syrians might enjoy a cooler island climate. It’s just like Hawaii, only without Hawaiians, and 70 degrees cooler.

6) Alcatraz. If providing housing for all these refugees is a problem, why not go to ready-made housing? Alcatraz has rows and rows of single-family rooms already built. All they require is a lick of paint and some landscaping, and it will look like a top apartment building in Beirut.

What do you think? Where would you like our new unvetted Middle Eastern Muslim friends to settle? Do you have any room in your basement?
