Marine’s Epic Response to Not Wearing His Uniform for His Own Protection

BY TIM BROWN FOR FREEDOM OUTPOST

Just a few days ago, the Obama Pentagon refused to acknowledge the rights of its military members to arm themselves at recruitment offices. Instead, they told them the same thing troops were told in Europe back in November: Don’t wear your uniforms and “close the blinds” for their own protection. However, one Marine had an epic response to the ridiculous recommendations and, no doubt, it will go viral.

John McCall is a motor transportation operator in the United States Marine Corps. He has been serving since October of 2009, as well as being the Director of Marketing for Visalus Sciences and Lead Technician for Steel Dynamics, Inc.

Upon hearing the recommendations, McCall took to Facebook and wrote, “To the higher powers that be: You have suggested we Marines NOT wear our uniforms to recruiting stations for “our own protection”. Let me make myself clear. If I’m not going to hide in Afghanistan during a war, why in the hell would I EVER hide in my own country?”

“The day us Marines run and hide from our enemies will be the day this country falls,” he continued. “We won’t EVER let that happen. We WILL continue to wear our uniform with pride.”

He then added that his words, along with his Marine brother Ben Reynolds‘ words “combin(ed) with the actions of many, will restore hope.”

He then encouraged, “Tag 3 ppl and spread the word! ‪#‎GodBlessAmerica ‪#‎SemperFidelis ‪#‎AmericasPolice ‪#‎USMarines‪#‎USMC ‪#‎UnitedWeStand.”

At the time I first viewed the post, it had around 11,000 shares. As of the writing of the article (the next morning), it had nearly 24,000 shares.

The claim that closing the blinds at a US military recruitment office is somehow protection is not even in a sane person’s mind. What, are they not going to cover up the military logo on the door, or the sign above the facility that indicates it’s part of the US military? C’mon!

Second, McCall is exactly right. Is the Pentagon really going to allow those recruiters to not wear their uniforms to work? Isn’t that part of being in the military? Isn’t that part of the dress code?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the Obama administration is not incompetent and this is why so many Republicans are not dealing with him properly. He is doing exactly what he and his handlers want to do. Make no mistake, he hates America and wishes to destroy it from within, just like the Marxist-Muslim he is.

Last week, Marine Sergeant Jeremy Knauff warned members of the Islamic State that they would soon learn of the brotherhood of the Marines and that the rules of engagement would not apply to them here on US soil. Medal of Honor Marine Sergeant Dakota Meyer also called on the “full institution of the Second Amendment” not only for military servicemen, but also for all Americans.

I think Mr. McCall has echoed the same resolve when it comes to hiding and playing like little girls instead of Marines.

May God continue to give these men courage in the face of a treasonous administration, an impotent Congress and a demonic, Islamic enemy.

READ SOME OF THESE NAMES, KNOW ANY OF THEM?

My generation grew up watching, being entertained by and laughing with so many of these fine people, never really knowing what they contributed to the war effort. Like millions of Americans during the WWII, there was a job that needed doing they didn’t question, they went and did it, those that came home returned to their now new normal life and carried on, very few ever saying what they did or saw. And of course we have Audie Murphy , America ‘s most-decorated soldier, who became a Hollywood star as a result of his US Army service that included his being awarded the Medal of Honor.

Would someone please remind me again how many of today’s Hollywood elite, sports celebs and politicians put their careers on hold to enlist for service in Iraq or Afghanistan ?

The only one who even comes close was Pat Tillman, who turned down a contract offer of $3.6 million over three years from the Arizona Cardinals to enlist in the US Army after September, 11, 2001 and serve as a Ranger in Afghanistan , where he died in 2004.

But rather than being lauded for his choice and his decision to put his country before his career, he was mocked and derided by many of his peers.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I submit to you that this is not the America today that it was seventy years ago. And I, for one, am saddened.

Senate reverses pension cut

My comments: The big question is: Will Obama veto this bill?

By Jeremy Herb - 02/12/14 03:46 PM EST

The Senate on Wednesday sent legislation to President Obama’s desk that would repeal the controversial $6 billion cut to military pensions.

The Senate overwhelmingly approved the measure in a 95-3 vote, undoing the spending cut that Congress had approved two months prior in the December budget deal.

The only senators to vote against the bill were Tom Carper (D-Del.), Dan Coats (R-Ind.) and Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.).

The legislation passed in the House just a day earlier in a 326-90 vote.

The vote was a victory for veterans groups that launched a full-court press on Capitol Hill after the reduction to the cost-of-living (COLA) adjustment was unexpectedly included in the budget deal.

But advocates faulted the bill sent to Obama for not helping future enlistees. Only current service members and veterans would see the cut reversed. It will go forward for those entering the military after Jan. 1, 2014.

The legislation offsets the $6 billion cost of reversing the cut by extending the sequester on Medicare spending for one additional year, to 2024.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) decided to hold an up-or-down vote on the House bill Wednesday, rather than push for legislation from Sen. Mark Pryor (D-Ark.) and other vulnerable Democrats that did not contain an offset.

Republicans had said they were opposed to the Pryor bill because it would have added $6 billion to the deficit.

Reid had said Tuesday that he was opposed to the House measure with the Medicare sequester extension, but the majority leader reversed course on Wednesday and said he’d hold a vote on the House bill.

Pryor, who joined other vulnerable Democrats at a Tuesday press conference to call for a clean vote, said he had no problems voting for the House bill instead.

“I think we moved the process along,” Pryor said.

After the December budget deal was unveiled, lawmakers introduced a flurry of bills to repeal the pension cut, which reduced cost-of-living-adjustments for military retirees under age 62 by 1 percentage point below inflation.

While lawmakers from both parties backed repealing the pension cut, none of the bills that were introduced included an offset that attracted bipartisan support.

House GOP leaders finally pushed the process forward Monday by proposing the Medicare offset, which Reid himself had proposed as a means to pay for an extension of unemployment insurance.

Senate Democrats said they weren’t entirely happy with the extension of the Medicare spending caps, but they didn’t raise objections.

“You don’t always get what you want,” Sen. Angus King (I-Maine), who caucuses with the Democrats, told The Hill. “It’s pretty hard to oppose it since it’s one of the things we proposed a month ago on unemployment.”

Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) had initially expressed opposition to extending the Medicare sequester caps, but he said Wednesday he could support it because the change doesn’t hit the budget until 2024.

“We’ll get it fixed,” Nelson told The Hill. “It’s all this funny money.”

Senate Republicans also expressed lukewarm support for the offset, as they were hoping for a vote on a measure from Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) to pay for the repeal by preventing illegal immigrants from receiving the additional child tax credit.

“It’s not the best one in town, but it works for me,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.). “I think Democrats understand there’s an appetite to help the veterans, but there’s also an appetite not to add to the debt, and it seems like reason prevailed here.”

A few voices raised complaints. Flake said on the floor before the vote that Congress shouldn’t be so quick to repeal the deficit reductions it passed.

“When deficit reduction measures get signed into law, surely at some point we need to stand by them,” Flake said.

Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee Chairman Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) said he had problems with the bill because it did not include future enlistees, but he still voted for the measure.

“While it covers the current retirees, it does not cover future retirees who would then have to bear the burden of the COLA cut,” Sanders said. “It’s a partial fix, but it doesn’t go as far as it should.”

Veterans organizations also raised objections to future service member being excluded, which was different from nearly all of the bills lawmakers had previously introduced to repeal the pension cut.

“Future military retirees will be required to serve just as long and perhaps sacrifice even more than their predecessors,” William Thien, head of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), said in a statement. “The VFW will continue to fight for a full repeal of the COLA penalty, and we hope that this vote will continue that conversation.”

Rep Louie Gohmert – Anti-Military Obstructionist John McCain Refused To Sponsor House Bill To Arm Military

By Rick Wells for CONSTITUTION RISING.COM

GOHMERT

In what is clearly a preemptive excuse designed to cover his backside following the murder of five service members in Chattanooga, John McCain issued a statement saying, “long before the Chattanooga attack, we had been working to clarify a post commander’s authority to allow carrying of personal firearms.” Rep Louie Gohmert (R-TX) is asked, “Why didn’t the Pentagon act on this long ago?”

He speaks to John McCain specifically, saying, “John McCain is a war hero for what he suffered during the Vietnam War, but he’s certainly no hero for what he’s been stopping. We couldn’t find a single senator that would bring the same amendment [to arm military personnel]. We got it as a part of the National Defense Authorization Act. The Senate is now negotiating with the House on that final bill. They would not, not one single Senator would bring that amendment to the Senate floor, John McCain didn’t want it.”

He adds, “So I am thrilled that John McCain is at least verbalizing that he wants to allow our military to protect themselves. That has not been his position in the past.” They also address a tweet from a viewer which addresses the fact that John McCain twice voted against body armor as well.

Gohmert points out other legislative attempts to correct vulnerabilities that have been made by the House, which have failed to pass in the Senate. He says, “We just need John McCain to match his words with his acts. He also points out that the perpetrator of the shootings in Chattanooga was the type of individual, particularly with his travel records, that the Patriot Act was supposed to protect us from. He says, “Instead, they spend so much time going after every America that they haven’t had time to watch the real suspects.”

He also has a common sense rebuttal to the argument that there are some in the military that shouldn’t be armed, saying those are the ones who should be processed out, so that we then know we can trust our men and women in uniform, all of them.

Gohmert’s comments once again point to the efforts of John McCain in opposition to the American military men and women he supposedly is an advocate for. Perhaps the shiny paper that John McCain has been wrapped in is starting to lose its luster.

Oath Keepers guard Upstate military recruitment centers

Mission Protect the Protectors created in response to Chattanooga shootings.
REPOSTED FROM WYFF4.COM
GREENVILLE, S.C. —In the wake of the shootings in Chattanooga that took the lives of four Marines and a sailor last week, a Greenville-area group has joined a national effort to protect military personnel at some Upstate recruitment centers.

“They can go overseas, and they can fight for us, and they can say that they’re fighting to protect America, but they can’t protect themselves at home?” Mouse Prosen told WYFF News 4’s Ashley Swann. “I don’t understand that.”

Prosen, a former Marine, is a member of the South Carolina chapter of Oath Keepers, a national nonprofit dedicated to defending the Constitution. Across the nation, members are standing watch at recruitment centers to guard the servicemen and service women they say are not allowed to protect themselves by carrying firearms.

They call it the Protect the Protectors mission.

“We took an oath,” said Prosen. “An oath that never goes void. When we took the oath to begin with, it lasts our whole lifetime. And we’re going to stand here and we’re going to protect these people, because this is the right thing to do.”

On Wednesday, we found two local members on patrol outside an Upstate armed forces career center. Simpsonville Police Chief Keith Grounsell has met with the group and says he respects their efforts.

“That’s the most important thing to me,” said Grounsell. “That they’re doing it as law-abiding citizens, taking the proper approach, communicating with the local police departments to assure that they don’t overstep their boundaries.”

Grounsell says he and his department appreciate the support.

“If you have two to four individuals that are willing to donate their time and have that extra set of eyes and ears out there, actually looking for specific things that might occur around these recruiting stations, that’s wonderful for us,” he said.

Prosen says he hopes U.S. lawmakers will change their policy. Until then, members of Oath Keepers will not stray from their mission.

“Until they’re protected, until they kick us out and say they don’t want us anymore. That’s how long we’re going be here,” said Prosen.

Members of Oath Keepers are not paid. They say they’ve been blown away by the positive community response. Visit http://oathkeepers.org/ to learn more about their mission.

Terror Immigration to America Must Stop

BY DANIEL GREENFIELD FOR FRONTPAGEMAGAZINE.COM

chatt

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center, is a New York writer focusing on radical Islam.

Tennessee is to Muslim refugees as New York is to Muslim hijacked planes. Chattanooga, the site of the latest Muslim terror attack against America, is a “preferred community” for resettlement along with Knoxville and Nashville.

Nashville was designated a “Gateway City” for Iraqis. Hundreds of Somali Muslims were dumped in Shelbyville and the Murfreesboro Mega-Mosque became national news because of its terror ties.

Over the last decade, middle Tennessee’s Muslim population tripled. The rise of Islam in Tennessee as Muslims from terror zones like Iraq and Somalia flooded its towns and cities brought hate and violence.

In Memphis, Imam Yasir Qadhi was caught on tape calling Jews and Christians filthy and declaring that Muslims can take their lives and property. Last year the FBI warned of an ISIS threat in Memphis.

This year it was Chattanooga’s turn.

Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, the son of a Palestinian man and a Kuwaiti woman living in the United States, killed four marines. One of his targets, a recruiting center, was a gun-free zone. Those inside had no way to defend themselves. Their government had welcomed in the enemy and left them unarmed and helpless against his Jihad.

Obama refused to use the word “Terrorism”. Hillary Clinton claimed that the attack was “senseless violence.” But there was nothing senseless about it. It was an act of war, one of many, in a conflict that stretches back to the founding of the United States of America.

The Marines first saw action abroad against the Barbary states who informed Thomas Jefferson and John Adams that they were entitled to attack American ships and enslave American sailors because, “it was written in the Koran, that all Nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon whoever they could find and to make Slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.”

This is the “sense” behind Hillary’s senseless violence.

The last of the Barbary Wars ended on a July, two hundred years ago, with an American victory. Two hundred years later, Marines are murdered by the barbarians we invited into our own country.

As the government began filling it with immigrants from terror zones, Tennessee, the Volunteer State, fought back because it hadn’t volunteered for this. In 2008, it pulled out of the Federal refugee resettlement program. But the resettlement continued. Tennessee taxpayers suffer and bullets fly.

Three days before the latest terror attack, Muslims in Chattanooga protested in support of Islamberg, a New York outpost set up by Mubarak Ali Gilani, who has said, “We are fighting to destroy the enemy. We are dealing with evil at its roots and its roots are America.”

That is what we are dealing with. Three days before a Muslim terrorist attack, supporters of Muslim terrorism were playing the victim. Their victimhood theater was aided and abetted by the media.

Every time the citizens of Tennessee attempted to stand up to terror immigration and the Murfreesboro Mega-Mosque , they were shouted down, smeared and lied about by the media. A day from now, the media will have shifted the focus of the story from the murdered Marines to local Muslims whining about the backlash. The perpetrators become the victims and the victims become the perpetrators.

It is all but certain that we will hear less about the stories of the heroes who died in Chattanooga than we did about the Muslims killed in a parking dispute in Chapel Hill. Because Muslim lives matter and Marine lives don’t.

For that matter we will probably hear less about them than we did about the tragic tale of Tahera Ahmad’s opened Diet Coke because Muslim sodas also matter more than dead Marines.

Tennessee has not been allowed to stop the dumping of Muslim settlers in its borders because Muslim immigration matters more than the families of Tennessee. Instead if we do nothing Chattanooga will go on being a “preferred community” for the transformation of the country. More Americans will die and after every terror attack, the media will dig up another Imam complaining how afraid he is of a backlash.

If we really want to stop terrorism, the place to start is at the airport. Not with TSA groping and scanners, but by ending the constant flood of terror populations into the country. The attacks of September 11 would never have happened if the United States hadn’t gotten into the habit of allowing in Saudis who couldn’t even be bothered to produce plausible paperwork. The World Trade Center bombing would not have happened if we hadn’t gotten into the habit of setting illegal immigrants loose.

The United States of America faces a simple choice. We can fill our towns and cities with populations from terror zones and then act surprised when they kill us, or we can shut the doors on them.

Inviting in the world’s terrorists to live here is not an act of kindness. Both Nidal Hasan, the Fort Hood killer, and Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, the Chattanooga terrorist, were born to Palestinian Arabs. Their background was in a culture where terrorism is so widely accepted that it has become a way of life. The Americans they murdered would be alive today if we had a pro-American immigration policy.

It’s not just the people who send checks to terrorist groups who should be called terrorist supporters. Those who support the migration of terrorists into this country are the biggest terrorist supporters because without them most of the attacks we have experienced would not even be possible.

No war can be won as long as the enemy continues to gain fresh recruits. Every immigrant from a terror zone to this country is a potential terrorist making the War on Terror completely unwinnable.

We can end the bombings and the shootings. We can get rid of the TSA and the NSA. All we need is an immigration policy that puts the safety and security of Americans first.

The terrorist attack in Chattanooga will be swiftly swiped from the media’s digital pages with another story about celebrity misbehavior or a manufactured controversy. But it can become a wake-up call. The dumping of refugees in Tennessee must end. And it’s time for Chattanooga to stop being a preferred community for importing the terror zones of the world to Tennessee.

Every terrorist attack has the potential to wake the sleeping giant against the terrorists and those who have infiltrated them into this country in the name of human rights, humanitarianism and diversity.

The war keeps coming home because we have filled our home with the enemy. It’s time we clean house.

BREAKING: Pentagon Tells Military Recruiters ‘No Guns’ Allowed at Centers – “CLOSE THE BLINDS” for Protection (VIDEO)

BY JIM HOFT FOR THE GATEWAY PUNDIT

Pentagon Refuses to Arm Military Recruiters – Tells Them to “Close the Blinds”

Army chief of staff Gen. Ray Odierno said on Friday he has no plans to arm recruiters or add security patrols to military recruitment centers in the wake of the Islamist terror attacks on unarmed, unguarded military offices in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Thursday. Odierno basically said he doesn’t trust his troops to handle their weapons properly.

Also on Friday, the Marine Corps ordered recruiters to not wear their uniforms at work for ‘force protection.’

Today the Pentagon added this–
Military recruiters are being told to “close the blinds” for added safety.

Gretchen Carlson reported:

We have just confirmed here at FOX from the Pentagon, that the head of the US Northern Command has now issued a directive to authorize recruiters not to be able to carry weapons at the centers but he wants them to implement new security measures like “closing the blinds at the office.”

Armed Chattanooga Marine First Raised on Vanderboegh Blog

MY COMMENTS: WHY IN HEAVEN’S NAME ARE WE NOT ARMING EVERY SINGLE SOLDIER AND SERVICE PERSONAL ON AMERICAN SOIL? What the hell is wrong with this government to pass such stupid idiotic laws…don’t answer that…we all know…communists are in charge. Thanks Clinton for passing this unconscionable and totally stupid law. Also, who killed the shooter?

by David Codrea for OATHKEEPERS.COM

OATH

Stewart Rhodes introduces Mike Vanderboegh at the Liberty Oath Keeper’s meeting in Monticello NY, April 21, 2013.

“The FBI has recovered a pistol that may have been privately owned and used by one of the Marines killed here Thursday during the shooting at the Navy Operational Support Center, according to law enforcement officials,” The Washington Post reported Monday. ‘Investigators are trying to determine, based on forensics, whether the pistol, a 9mm Glock, was used in an exchange with the shooter, Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez, and possibly wounded him, officials said.”

That’s been corroborated and elaborated on by a Tuesday Navy Times report claiming “Sources: Navy officer, Marine fought to take out Chattanooga gunman.

“It’s also unclear why they were armed, as it is against Defense Department policy for anyone other than military police or law enforcement to carry weapons on federal property,” that report points out.

These revelations bolster a claim made by an anonymous poster on the Sipsey Street Irregulars blog last Friday. That site is run by Mike Vanderboegh, widely recognized as the founder of the Three Percent movement and the blogger who first reported evidence of Operation Fast and Furious “gunwalking” in the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

“One Marine was armed, in violation of policy, and fired at the cowardly bastard who then retreated behind the facility,” an individual identifying himself only as “anon for obvious reasons” wrote. “There he began firing on the others.

“Get the facts,” the comment poster advised. “I spoke w/ a friend who was guarding the suspect’s home this morning. (Sgt w/ Chat. City PD).”

“I would like to investigate your claim and see if it can be verified,” I responded in comments, not having any other way to investigate. “Mike and I will guarantee your anonymity and go to jail before revealing you as our source, just, as we proved faithful to the Fast and Furious whistleblowers. If you could contact him or me, I’d appreciate the opportunity to find out more.”

No reply has been forthcoming at this writing, but the WaPo and Navy Times stories offer substantial corroboration.

This is yet another example of the potential for alternative media to beat the big boys to the punch despite a vast disparity in connections and resources. That in turn reflects on the quality of readership truly informative blogs attract, particularly ones with a track record of breaking important news ahead of the corporate outlets. True, that didn’t happen this time, but things might have played out differently had the anonymous poster responded.

These revelations will probably result in no shortage of antis reveling in ghoulish triumph over a defensive gun failure, and using that to further attack the right to keep and bear arms. Just keep in mind that no one has ever claimed the presence of a gun will allow the victims to prevail in all situations, and anyone using this to defend “gun free zones” is simply being an opportunistic, agenda über alles liar.

How Every Single Marine Feels Right Now

Semper Fi

How every single Marine feels right now:

Congratulations, ISIS.

You wanted attention, and yesterday, you got it. Only, you chose the wrong people to seek that attention from.…

You did not get the attention of our weak President. He tweeted his support for your medieval holiday following your cowardly attack. You did not get the attention of our useless and corrupt Congress. They were too busy lining their pockets.

When you attacked those four Marines, you got the attention of every one of our 186,800 active duty Marines, along with every Marine who ever served.

You just stirred up hate, discontent, and malice within a group of people who relish the idea of engaging the enemy.

There is something you obviously don’t yet know about Marines…

The brotherhood we share is stronger than the challenges we face, the weapons we master, or the enemies we destroy.

You will learn that soon though.

You attacked a group of men who bond over the smell of gunpowder and misery—and enjoy it. You didn’t attack America’s leaders, you attacked America’s Marines, and that is a battle you are not prepared for.

You see, we won’t play by the rules you’re accustomed to seeing. When you play in our backyard, we don’t have to answer to any chain of command. We will not follow ridiculous ROEs crafted by a spineless bureaucrat to appease some goat herding tribal leader. And we won’t be wearing uniforms so that you can easily ambush us.

Nope. None of that shit.

When you think you’re walking into a target-rich environment, you’re really walking into an ambush.

That pudgy, middle-aged guy wearing khakis in the mall, who unbeknownst to you, is a former 0311 and armed, will dump your sorry ass before you have a chance to scream “allah snackbar.” And that soccer mom pushing a stroller, she’s got a Glock and will happily leave you gasping in a pool of your own blood before she lets you hurt her children.

We are here and we still have the training and experience to wage war, whether here or abroad. And wage war we will. Every one of us are willing to fight and die to protect our Marine Corps brothers and sisters, our families and friends, and our way of life.

And we will win, because while you fight to destroy what you hate, we fight to protect what we love.

Semper Fi!
