The term “app” is short for “application software”.
Apps for smart phones are getting more numerous and more popular by the day. A May 2012 comScore study reported that during the previous quarter, more mobile subscribers used apps than browsed the web on their devices: 51.1% vs. 49.8% respectively. Market research firm Gartner predicted that 102 billion apps would be downloaded in 2013 (91% of them free), which would generate $26 billion in the U.S., up 44.4% on 2012’s $18 billion.
If you have apps on your cell phone, you should know that those apps come with costs.

The price is that they want to advertise to you. Location-based advertising is more-accurate in terms of value to the advertiser in that it’s more likely to result in a sale.

The jig is up!
One of the biggest scams in medicine has just been exposed, as new research reveals angioplasty for the fraud that it is.
I know it sounds so good when your doc gives you the sales pitch: They go into your arteries with a pipe cleaner, wipe out all the junk that’s blocking it up and you’re as good as new.
Yes, it sounds good all right… as in too good to be true!
The new study shows that stable heart patients who get angioplasty get absolutely zip when it comes to benefits.
It doesn’t save lives… doesn’t extend them… doesn’t even improve them in any measurable way, according to the study of 1,200 heart patients tracked for up to 15 years.
This might seem shocking, especially if you’re one of the 500,000 Americans a year with stable heart disease who had a perfectly useless angioplasty.
But it’s sure not a shock to your doc.
Your doctor… your cardiologist… heck, everyone who was in the OR when you had that procedure done already knew all this, because multiple studies have all reached the same conclusion.
They’re just not telling you because they’re all riding the same gravy train: with each angioplasty costing a minimum of $40,000 (and some as much as $150,000), these unnecessary procedures have become an industry worth at least $20 billion (and probably a whole lot more).
Desperate heart patients are getting absolutely fleeced by this scheme, but the real problem isn’t just all that wasted dough.
It’s the very real risks of angioplasty, because 5 percent of patients who have one suffer a heart attack right in the middle of the procedure and 2 percent drop dead during it. And then there are the drugs you’ll likely have to be on for the rest of your life.
That’s a lot of money and a lot of risk, all for a treatment that does squat to save lives. Meanwhile, the one therapy heart patients need — one TRULY proven to prevent heart attacks — gets ignored and even attacked by the mainstream.
Chelation therapy breaks up deposits in the arteries and chases them out of your body. It does this so effectively that it cuts the risk of serious heart problems by 18 percent overall, and by 40 percent in diabetics, according to a major government-backed study published in 2012.
Don’t try the pill form or “fast” chelation, stick to the tried-and-true, which usually involves up to 30 sessions spread out over a period of months. I recommend working with an experienced member of the American College for Advancement in Medicine.

For those of us who aren’t fashion aficionados it’s difficult to figure out exactly what that is wrapped around Valerie Jarrett. She looks as if she might have inadvertently gotten herself tangled up in the window drapes or something but it’s color-coordinated so that’s unlikely. Maybe it’s some kind of Iranian headscarf and shawl combination turned around backwards.
Given her appearance, having the headscarf turned backwards is a great idea, provided she had left it in place. But she’s uncovered, so what’s the point other than a statement, an actual fashion statement, of who she is and what she represents. She is what she is; a pro-Islamic operative guiding what is at a minimum an Islamic sympathizer who’s squatting in the big boy chair in our White House.
The conversation is centered on crime, a topic the members of this regime are undeniably experts on. She describes their approach to redefining it and reducing the penalties for the types of crime most common to potential black voters, if they were, absent a felony conviction on their record, able to vote.
She claims that if you keep people from going to prison in the first place it reduces subsequent crimes. Of course not committing crimes in the first place is the most effective method of remaining out of prison, but that’s not what criminals do, so the regime is looking at other ways to once again reward bad behavior. Pretending the crime never occurred or blaming someone other than the perpetrator seems like the course of action they’ve decided upon.
She describes the alternative to choosing a life of crime, which happen to be the very things her Dear Leader is destroying through his open borders invasion; an ability for the potential criminals to have had gainful employment and a means through which to support their families.
Ominously, Jarrett compares the last year of the Obama tenure to the second half of the fourth quarter of a football game, noting that “really big things happen near the end of the game, as we all know. And just look at this last year, we’ve had a terrific year,” mockingly criticizing the media who she recalls as having described Obama as a lame duck. She says, “Doesn’t feel much like lame duck to me.” A terrific year for Jarrett and Obama translates into another miserable year for traditional, free America.
She’s describing their focus for the next year as “criminal justice reform.” As there is bound to be a significant amount of liberal double-speak in her comments, just what perversions will be identified as reform is unknown and they will not likely be restricted to those she is admitting to in the interview.
Hidden agenda items will be attached, such as the federalization of local police forces, efforts to attack the Second Amendment in the name of crime reduction, and wealth redistribution packaged as “social justice” and “equal opportunity.”
Jarrett highlights with pride their pronouncement that felons will no longer be required to self identify on federal employment applications. It’s a situation which could leave the personal data of all Americans subject to harvesting for criminal activities, a situation she views as a positive and urges Congress to mimic their insanity in the case of federal contractors.
She calls upon everyone to help, saying it’s a problem that touches all of us and we need to own that responsibility. Just how we’re all responsible for the deliberate decisions of others to break the law is unclear. She talks of responsibility but not personal responsibility, that of the criminals to take ownership of their own bad decisions which led to their introduction into the criminal justice system.
Jarrett’s right, Obama isn’t lame; Congress is. She’s also correct that, given the level of forethought and scheming that has gone into the Marxist efforts under his “leadership,” the second half of the fourth quarter is going to be quite turbulent for the American people. It will be a period of offensive success for the regime, filled with trick plays and misdirection as well as bad officiating, missed opportunities, and the giving up by the Republicans on defense.
The Republicans haven’t stood up to these criminals in seven long years; there’s absolutely no reason to think they’d start now.

It’s been dismissed by the mainstream as quackery — and doctors who offer it have been accused of fraud (and a whole lot worse).
But the fact is intravenous vitamin C is often the best and in some cases ONLY hope for desperate cancer patients.

Forget “doesn’t work.” Those chemo-pushing hacks should be OUT OF WORK — because the latest research shows that intravenous C can fight off an aggressive form of colon cancer where there are few real mainstream options.
While most forms of colon cancer are treatable and beatable, there are two mutations that can turn the disease into a cold-blooded killer.
Some 40 percent of colon cancers have either the KRAS or BRAF mutations, and most drugs and other treatments will do little against them. The best you can hope for is that you caught it early enough to remove the tumor completely (which is why a colonoscopy is so important).
But the new study on mice finds vitamin C can specifically target those cancer cells and SHUT THEM DOWN!
When high levels of C accumulate in the blood, some of it oxidizes and transforms into a compound called dehydroascorbic acid (DHA), which then attaches itself to a molecule that hauls sugar through your blood like truckloads of candy rolling down the highway.
It’s a classic Trojan Horse. Since tumors love sugar more than a six-year-old in a candy store, they suck up those molecules – and that’s when the DHA pounces, jumping out and attacking from the inside.
