Turkey soccer fans chant “Allahu akbar” in moment of silence for Paris attack victims

Fellowship of the Minds

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), Europe’s governing soccer body, requested that all European international games hold a minute of silence before the start of their matches and wear black armbands to honor the victims of the recent Paris attacks.

Today’s (Nov. 17) Greece vs. Turkey friendly soccer match in Istanbul did just that.

Instead of observing the one minute of silence, however, the mainly Turkish fans in the stadium booed and chanted “Allahu akbar”.

Turkey is a Muslim country — the same country whose president and former prime minister Recep Erdoğan famously said: “A moderate Islam is an oxymoron because there is no such thing as a ‘moderate Islam’.” (source: Telegraph)

The Turkey-Greece soccer game was not the only European match where the minute of silence was interrupted.

Douglas Zimmerman reports for SFGate (San Francisco Chronicle) that at the Ireland-Bosnia Euro 2016 playoff game yesterday…

No Evidence Paris Terrorists Used Encryption

Government attack on Fourth Amendment falters

The NSA, CIA and FBI hate encryption. The idea they can’t poke around in your email and chat messages drives them bonkers.

That’s why they launched a campaign to demonize the technology and went after Apple and Google. They believe it’s acceptable to violate the Fourth Amendment.

No opportunity to sell you on surrendering your rights is missed by the government. For instance, after the Paris attack, the government said the terrorists used encryption to go “dark.” They had zero evidence of this but, as usual, the media ran with it.

“I now think we’re going to have another public debate about encryption, and whether government should have the keys, and I think the result may be different this time as a result of what’s happened in Paris,” said former CIA deputy director Michael Morell on Monday.

Morrell wouldn’t have made his comment if not for Edward Snowden. Documents leaked by Snowden revealed NSA efforts to break encryption technologies. His revelation prompted intelligence agencies and law enforcement to openly criticize Facebook, Apple and Google for using encryption to protect the communication of their customers.

After the attack in France, Attorney General Loretta Lynch said the feds continue to have “ongoing discussions” with industry about how they can “legally” compromise the privacy of their customers and violate the Fourth Amendment.

The feds will not be able to use the argument the terrorists in Paris used encryption. It turns out the government probably made that up just like they make a lot of stuff up about terrorists to justify the war on terror and diminish your liberty.

On Sunday The New York Times quietly pulled an article that claimed the Paris attackers used encryption. The link now redirects to a generalized article on the attacks and does not contain a reference to encryption. The original, however, is archived here.

28 U.S. States Announce Refusal to Accept Syrian Refugees

*Note: When this post was originally published the number was 6 states. It is now 28 states. This map shows the latest additions including Massachusetts and Maine.

http://libertyblitzkrieg.com/2015/11/16/six-u-s-states-announce-refusal-to-accept-syrian-refugees/

Over the weekend, I published a post titled A Message to Europe – Prepare for Nationalism, which discussed, amongst many other things, the impact increased anti-refugee sentiment would have on European politics in the coming years. Although I didn’t expect the anti-refugee sentiment to emerge so rapidly in these United States, based on the headlines I’m seeing today, it undoubtably has.

From Reuters:

Texas, Arkansas, Indiana and Louisiana on Monday joined two other U.S. states in saying they will no longer accept Syrian refugees, contending it is too dangerous to let in people from that war-torn country following Friday’s deadly Paris attack.

Republican Governors Greg Abbott of Texas, Asa Hutchinson of Arkansas, Mike Pence of Indiana and Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, followed the lead of Alabama and Michigan in saying their states would no longer help support the Obama administration’s goal of accepting 10,000 Syrian refugees in the coming years.

“Texas cannot participate in any program that will result in Syrian refugees – any one of whom could be connected to terrorism – being resettled in Texas,” Abbott said in an open letter to U.S. President Barack Obama on Monday. “Neither you nor any federal official can guarantee that Syrian refugees will not be part of any terroristic activity.”

But it was unclear what authority governors had to stop admitting refugees into their states, legal experts said.

“The federal government has the power over immigration. If they admit Syrian refugees, they’re here,” said Deborah Anker, a professor of law at Harvard Law School who specializes in immigration issues. “People aren’t going to the (state) border. The federal government is going to bring them in.”

The United States admitted 1,682 Syrian refugees in the federal fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, a sharp jump from the 105 admitted a year earlier. Texas, California and Michigan accepted the largest number of people fleeing the war.

As mentioned above, it doesn’t seem clear what options these various states have in practice to refuse refugees if the feds let them in. As such, you have to wonder if this is nothing more than political bluster. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

Video: Americans Want To Rename Nation’s Capital “Obama D.C.”

Washington D.C. is “racially insensitive”

Activist prankster Mark Dice hit the bricks once again this week to expose how trendy hipster lefties will sign their name to anything, no matter how ridiculous, if you tell them it’s anti-racist.

This time Dice asked Californians to put their names to a petition to change the name of the nation’s capital because of the “racist, slave-owning” history of the man it is named after, President George Washington.

LabelingDC, “racially insensitive,” Dice convinced almost everyone he encountered, that President Obama had floated the idea to rename the capital.

“Right on! I’m down with that,” a guy carrying a guitar around said, enthusiastically signing as Dice suggested Washington be renamed “Tom Brady D.C.”.

“It’s about time, yeah,” the guy agreed as Dice blithely told him that “renaming America’s capital is the next phase of the new world order as we progress beyond America’s past and become part of the global community.”

“We should get rid of the flag too, man, we need new symbols.” the guy responded, to which Dice responded “We’re trying to do that as well.”

Another man signed the petition as Dice told him that D.C. should be “named after Caitlin Jenner or something more modern.”

“It’s so f*cking confusing — Washington, Washington, D.C. — why you gotta be confusing? F*ck that sh*t,” said a girl in a nonsensical response to Dice declaring that the city’s name is “racially inappropriate.”

She agreed that the name “Obama D.C.” is a better name, that is “not so evil and racist.”

Only one guy refused to sign, noting “I don’t think that’s really going to change things, re-naming a city.”

Israel Outlaws Domestic Islamic Group as Police Raid Offices

November 17, 2025 — 2:57 AM CST Updated on November 17, 2025

The movement’s leader, Sheikh Raed Salah, pictured, a former mayor of the Israeli Arab city of Umm al-Fahm who has in the past been convicted of incitement and moving funds to Hamas, said the movement will continue its campaign to protect the Al-Aqsa mosque ‘by all legitimate means.’

Government says Israeli Arab movement incited wave of attacks

Organization’s leader says step is `unjust and unacceptable’

Israel outlawed a domestic religious-political group it referred to as the northern branch of the Islamic Movement, accusing it of inciting recent Arab violence by conducting a campaign of agitation over a Jerusalem holy site.

The security cabinet’s decision makes it illegal to belong to or aid the movement, and allows for seizure of its property. Following the overnight decision by a group of senior ministers who deal with security issues, police shut down 17 organizations linked to the movement in Arab communities throughout northern Israel. They seized records from offices of several of them, and froze bank accounts.

“For years, the northern branch of the Islamic Movement has led a mendacious campaign of incitement under the heading ‘Al-Aqsa is in danger’ that falsely accuses Israel of intending to harm the Al-Aqsa Mosque and violate the status quo,” the government said in an e-mailed statement, referring to the Jerusalem shrine.

“A significant portion of recent terrorist attacks have been committed against the background of this incitement and propaganda,” it said.

Israeli Arab lawmaker Ahmad Tibi told Israel Radio the decision to outlaw the branch of the Islamic Movement was a “cynical political gesture” timed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to exploit the atmosphere created by the attacks in Paris.

Tibi, a veteran parliamentarian belonging to the United Arab Party list, said the Islamic Movement expressed legitimate Muslim concerns over the holy site, and its positions did not seek to incite violence.

‘Unjust’

“All these measures taken by Israel are unjust and unacceptable,” the movement’s leader, Sheikh Raed Salah, wrote in a Facebook post. Salah, a former mayor of the Israeli Arab city of Umm al-Fahm who has in the past been convicted of incitement and moving funds to Hamas, said the movement will continue its campaign to protect the Al-Aqsa mosque “by all legitimate means.”

Arab fears that Israel is planning to change understandings governing worship at the Jerusalem hilltop compound — known to Jews as the Temple Mount — where the Al-Aqsa mosque is located, have spurred a surge in violence since the beginning of October that has led to the deaths of 14 Israelis and more than 80 Palestinians.

Israel denies it is trying to change arrangements in place since it gained control of the site in 1967, under which only Muslim religious prayers are permitted there, while non-Muslims are allowed to visit.

Israel’s government described Salah’s group as a “sister organization” to the Hamas movement which controls the Gaza Strip.

‘Dangerous Incitement’

“The cabinet took this step after a series of deep consultations with all relevant security and judicial bodies, with the goal of ending dangerous domestic incitement,” Netanyahu said in an e-mailed statement.

The Arab Higher Monitoring Committee, an umbrella group of Israeli Arab organizations, called for a general strike by Arab businesses and schools on Thursday to protest the decision. Adalah, a group that pursues legal means for Arab rights in Israel, called it “an aggressive, draconian measure” that harms Israeli Arab rights to freedom of association and political expression, according to an e-mailed statement.

The ban “is likely to be challenged by an appeal to the Supreme Court,” said Mordechai Kedar, a researcher in Islamic radicalism at Bar-Ilan University outside Tel Aviv. “The security services probably have enough material on the group’s activities, and links to other radical Islamic groups, to convince the court to uphold the ban.”

Ben Carson Fumbles BIG TIME, Admits Hillary Has The Experience To Be POTUS (VIDEO)

REPOSTED FROM ADDICTINGINFO.ORG

Ben Carson spoke with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday and gave the best response ever (for Democrats that is, not so much for Republicans) when he was asked why voters should pick him over someone who actually has experience in foreign policy and national security.

Instead of answering the question outright, he immediately said:

“Oh, you mean someone like Hillary Clinton, perhaps?”

YES. That’s exactly what he means! You can just visualize it now, Carson’s campaign manager watching in the background, crushing his styrofoam coffee cup in his bare hands as Carson indirectly acknowledged how much more experienced Clinton is than he is. But, that’s not all. Dr. Carson also made it seem like he was qualified to be POTUS because he’s “talked to people like Henry Kissinger.” Really? And, watching YouTube videos about quantum physics means you’re ready to be a physicist, too.

Here was the exchange:

WALLACE: We’re talking about life and death. We’re talking about keeping Americans safe from people who would slaughter us like they did in Paris. I guess the question is, why should voters choose you over someone who actually has experience in foreign policy, experience in national security?

CARSON: Oh, are you talking about someone like Hillary Clinton, perhaps? I would say the reason is because you can articulate intelligent options and because you know how to work with other people and utilize the incredible resources that we have available to us.

You know, I’ve had an opportunity in recent weeks to talk to a lot of incredible people, alot of experience, I’ve talked to Henry Kissinger and talked about his whole perspective in that area. You have to be willing to recognize that you are not the end all, but you are the conduit for the conduct of American policies.

It’s a good thing Ben Carson is talking to experienced people. That’s one aspect of it. A president needs to be surrounded by people giving him good advice. That, however, shouldn’t be the entirety of his answer, which it was. Most jobs are learn as you go, and this isn’t one of them.

The fact that Hillary Clinton was the first name that came to Dr. Carson’s mind, though, is telling in itself. He could have come up with any other name, but he didn’t. This Freudian slip is sure to come back to haunt him if he ever debates Hillary in the general election. Something tells us, it already is.

Judicial Watch: Email Reveals Top Aide Huma Abedin Warning State Department Staffer That Hillary Clinton Is “Often Confused”

My comments: I’m not sure she could be traveling and giving the speeches she’s giving and be confused…was this a one time thing or what? I’m not sure I believe it.

Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch today released more than 35 pages of emails former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s top aide Huma Abedin revealing that Abedin advised Clinton aide and frequent companion Monica Hanley that it was “very important” to go over phone calls with Clinton because the former Secretary of State was “often confused.” The emails, from Abedin’s “[email protected]” address, also reveal repeated security breaches, with the Secretary’s schedule and movements being sent and received through Abedin’s non-governmental and unsecured Clinton server account. The emails document requests for special State Department treatment for a Clinton Foundation associate and Abedin’s mother, a controversial Islamist leader.

The Abedin email material contains a January 26, 2013, email exchange with Clinton aide Monica Hanley regarding Clinton’s schedule in which Abedin says Clinton is “often confused:”

  • Abedin: Have you been going over her calls with her? So she knows singh is at 8? [India Prime Minister Manmohan Singh]
  • Hanley: She was in bed for a nap by the time I heard that she had an 8am call. Will go over with her
  • Abedin: Very imp to do that. She’s often confused.

The newly released Abedin emails included a lengthy exchange giving precise details of the Clinton schedule on the Secretary’s final full day in office, Wednesday, January 31, 2013. The email from Lona J. Valmoro, former Special Assistant to Secretary of State Clinton, to Abedin, other top State Department staff, and Clinton associates, reveals exact times (including driving times) and locations of all appointments throughout the day:

8:25 am DEPART Private Residence

En route to State Department

[drive time: 10 minutes]

***

1:40 pm DEPART State Department

En route to Council on Foreign Relations

[drive time: 15 minutes]

***

3:05 pm DEPART Council on Foreign Relations

En route to State Department

[drive time: 15 minutes]

***

6:00 pm DEPART State Department

En route to Private Residence

[drive time: 5 minutes]

The detailed schedule provided in the Abedin email contains an annotation reading: “The information contained in this email is not to be shared, forwarded or duplicated.”

Another Abedin email provides details about a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s leadership.

The Abedin correspondence includes several instances in which the Clinton top aide attempted to obtain special treatment from the State Department for business associates and relatives. In the first instance, Abedin apparently worked with Teneo co-founder and Clinton Global Initiative official Doug Band to intercede on behalf of an individual seeking a visa. In the second instance, Huma Abedin received an email from her mother, Saleha Abedin (a controversial Islamist activist) who founded and serves as dean at Dar al-Hekma University in Saudi Arabia. In the December 11, 2011, email, Saleha Abedin seeks the assistance of her daughter to help the president of her college, Dr. Suhair al Qurashi, attend a State Department “Women in Public Service” ceremony, which included remarks by Hillary Clinton. (Mrs. Clinton spoke at Dar al-Hekma University in 2010. Dr. Qurashi and Saleha Abedin introduced Mrs. Clinton’s speech and moderated the subsequent discussion.)

“Huma Abedin’s description of Hillary Clinton as ‘easily confused’ tells you all you need to know why it took a federal lawsuit to get these government emails from Clinton’s illegal email server ,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “These emails also show that Hillary Clinton’s and Huma Abedin’s decision to use the Clinton email server to conduct government business was dangerous and risky.”

The documents were obtained by Judicial Watch on October 30, 2015, in response to a June 5 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed against the State Department, after it failed to respond to a March 18 FOIA request seeking:

  • Emails of official State Department business received or sent by former Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin from January 1, 2026 through February 1, 2026 using a non-“state.gov” email address.

Must See Viral Video – European Muslim Invasion Horrors – Citizens Not Safe In Their Homes, Gang Rapes, Chaos

BY RICK WELLS FOR UNIVERSALFREEPRESS.COM

syrians

The stark, horrific and devastating impact of the Muslim invasion of Europe is vividly depicted in this video that has gone viral online. The original post at YouTube was taken down, supposedly for a music copyright violation, but more likely because somebody in power doesn’t want negative attention brought to their ongoing caliphate creation.

Chancellor Angela Merkel’s destruction of Germany, her open-ended, unlimited Nazi-style invasion of her homeland by a foreign army of thugs in conjunction with the unaccountable overlords at the EU, as well as Hollande in France and the political tool Cameron in Britain are exposed. Sweden is no longer Sweden.

The everyday citizens of Europe are under attack, their generosity, particularly the decades-long indoctrination and domestication of the German people into a belief that they must in some way sacrifice themselves in order to atone for the sins of their ancestors has made them a nation with a large population that embraced their own destruction.

That tide may be turning. The video graphically demonstrates the intent of the Muslim hordes is conquest. Their brutality and the cultural destruction of an entire continent cannot continue to be ignored.

Angela Merkel and the other war criminals that have attacked their own nations must be stopped. Civil war is already unavoidable. It has already begun.

This video is a must see for everyone. The Greek woman who describes the hordes as being in their homes, as the local populations being the victims, not the invaders, puts everything in perspective. She’s at the approximate

Donald Trump says tough gun control laws in Paris contributed to tragedy

BY JENNA JOHNSON FOR THEWASHINGTONPOST.COM

Donald Trump said at a rally in Beaumont, Tex. that “it would’ve been a much, much different situation” if France had different gun laws and more civilians were armed during a series of deadly attacks in Paris. (Reuters)

BEAUMONT, Tex. — Donald Trump says the tough gun control laws in Paris contributed to the high death toll during a series of terrorist attacks on Friday. The attacks, he added, also reveal the danger in allowing Syrian refugees into the country.

“You can say what you want, but if they had guns — if our people had guns, if they were allowed to carry — it would have been a much, much different situation,” Trump said to cheers during a political rally at an arena in southeast Texas on Saturday afternoon. “I hear it all the time, you know. You look at certain cities that have the highest violence, the highest problem with guns and shootings and killings — Chicago is an example, toughest gun laws in the United States, nothing but problems. So our country better get smart because we’re not smart right now.”

By making that comment, Trump doubled down on a message he tweeted in January, following a smaller-scale terrorist attack: “Isn’t it interesting that the tragedy in Paris took place in one of the toughest gun control countries in the world?” As that dated tweet recirculated on Friday evening, the French ambassador to the United States, Gerard Araud, tweeted at Trump: “This message is repugnant in its lack of any human decency. Vulture.”

Trump started the rally by leading the crowd of several thousand in a moment of silence in remembrance of the 129 people killed in the Paris attacks, which the Islamic State terrorist group has claimed to have organized. Then Trump launched right into the politics of the attacks.

“What is going on is terrible,” Trump said. “And when you look at what happened in that case: It was just reported, one from Syria and our president wants to take in 250,000 from Syria.”

The scene in France after bloody rampage stuns the nation

Security is ramped up around the nation as French law enforcement searches for the perpetrators of Friday’s devastating attacks.

The crowd booed Syrian refugees for several seconds, then Trump began again: “No, I mean, think of it: 250,000 people. And we all have heart, and we all want people taken care of and all of that, but with the problems our country has, to take in 250,000 people — some of whom are going to have problems, big problems — is just insane. You have to be insane. Terrible.”

In September, Obama announced that he had directed the U.S. government to accept at least 10,000 refugees, not 250,000, from Syria in the next fiscal year, a six-fold increase over the number admitted this year to the United States.

After Obama’s announcement, Trump said later that month that if he is elected president, he will force all Syrian refugees to leave the United States. He has said that these refugees could be a terrorist army in disguise and cannot be trusted. Such comments have resonated with rally crowds across the country and did so again in Texas on Saturday.

“I think they’re wolves in sheep’s clothing,” said John Courts, 36, a Beaumont police officer who attended the rally with his 11-year-old son. “Bringing those refugees here is very dangerous. Yeah, they need help but it’s going to bring terrorism right into our front door.”

“I don’t want any of them here,” said Kendall Johns, 43, a Trump supporter at the rally who lives in Beaumont and works at an oil refinery. “I mean, send them to Mexico. Send them to Central America. Send them to South America. I don’t want them here.”

“I do not want them,” said Sheila Milbrandt, 49, a paralegal from Sour Lake, Tex. “We don’t know who they are. We don’t know their history. We don’t know if they’re terrorists just being funneled through these other countries. What do we know about them? We don’t need them here. America needs to take care of its own.”

During an hour-long speech, Trump also railed against illegal immigration, pledged to deport the millions of immigrants illegally in the country, promised to build a wall along the border but said he would continue to allow foreign workers with legal visas to work on farms.

Trump also invited relatives of four people killed by illegal immigrants onto the stage to share their stories, at one point comforting a woman who became emotional.

France’s Far Right Calls for Nation to Re-Arm Itself – ‘Revoke Muslim Passports’ (Video)

REPOSTED BY JIM HOFT FOR THEGATEWAYPUNDIT.COM

Marine La Pen, the leader of Front Nationale Party in France, calledd for the nation to “re-arm” itself in the wake of the Paris Islamist attacks on Friday.

La Pen also called on France to revoke Muslim passports.

** At least one of the Islamist killers in Paris entered Europe as a refugee from Syria.

ISIS took credit for the attacks.
The Islamist State said this was the “first of the storm.”

Hat Tip Dana Loesch

Zero Hedge reported:

If there is one ‘winner’ from last night’s terrible events in Paris, it is France’s anti-EU, anti-immigration far-right wing Front Nationale party leader Marine Le Pen. Having already ascended to the lead in yet another poll ahead of France’s 2017 elections, Le Pen came out swinging this morning call for France to “re-arm itself,” stating that radical Islam must be “eradicated” from France. She further demanded that border controls be made “permanent” and binational Islamists must be depreived of their French passport.

As Bloomberg notes:

*FAR RIGHT PARTY LEADER MARINE LE PEN COMMENTS IN TV SPEECH
*LE PEN SAYS FRANCE NEEDS TO CONTROL ITS BORDERS PERMANENTLY
*LE PEN CALLS FOR PERMANENT BORDER CONTROLS
*LE PEN CALLS FOR ‘ERADICATION’ OF RADICAL ISLAMISM IN FRANCE
*LE PEN: FRANCE IS ‘VULNERABLE’, ‘MUST RE-ARM ITSELF’
*LE PEN: FRENCH PEOPLE ARE NO LONGER SAFE
*LE PEN: BI-NATIONAL ISLAMISTS MUST DEPRIVED OF FRENCH PASSEPORT
Which is all fine if this was some extreme and unpopular party, but in fact…
