False Shepherds and Politicians!

what happened

Eric Ericson From RedState.Com Is A PC Sellout. Dumps Trump From Event.

Morning friends, apparently Eric Ericson the owner editor of Redstate.com is having some kind of gathering this weekend and has buckled to PC pressure. It seems he takes issue with part of an interview Trump did after the debates with Don Lemon of CNN. This is the part he and others are now trying to make the story de jour. May I just say. Poor, Poor wittle Meghan.

Let’s just remember who started this at the debates. Anyone who defends Kelly is automatically suspicious in my mind. I’m not saying you have to like Trump, but if you excuse her behavior then I think you detest him for whatever reason. Think about that.

———————————————————————————————

In the CNN exchange Trump roundly attacked her, saying: ‘I don’t have a lot of respect for Megyn Kelly, she came out, reading her little script, trying to be tough and sharp.

‘When you meet her you realize she is not very tough or very sharp. She is zippo.’

When Lemon asked him to expand, he said: ‘I just don’t respect her as a journalist. I have no respect for her, I don’t think she’s very good. She’s highly overrated.

‘I got out there they start saying all this stuff… she gets out and she starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions. You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever... you could see she was off-base.’

He concluded: ‘She’s a lightweight, I couldn’t care less about her‘. Some commentators online criticized Lemon for not asking Trump to explain himself.

Here’s the interview. It’s long at 31 min, but worth the watch.

So Ericson responds on his website (Below) that not only has Trump crossed the line, but he has invited Poor Wittle Kelley to replace him. Now I’ve went to Redstate site and they have closed comments on thread because the Mod says he’s too busy at the gathering. There are about 300 comments and a bunch of deletions and many are slamming Ericson and Redstate for their Bullcrap PC decision. In all honesty to me RS has always been suspicious to me. I’ve never felt Ericson was a true Conservative.

PS. The funny thing is they keep saying that they have been defending Trump because of the way he has been treated. Then this is what they decide is too much for them. Phoneys if you ask me. Bought and paid for. If you find the time read some comments on story.

—————————————————————————————-

I have tried to give a great deal of latitude to Donald Trump in his run for the Presidency.

He is not a professional politician and is known for being a blunt talker. He connects with so much of the anger in the Republican base and is not afraid to be outspoken on a lot of issues. But there are even lines blunt talkers and unprofessional politicians should not cross.

Decency is one of those lines.

As much as I do personally like Donald Trump, his comment about Megyn Kelly on CNN is a bridge too far for me.

In a CNN interview, Mr. Trump said of Megyn Kelly, “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever.”

It was not the “blood coming out of her eyes” part that was the problem.

I think there is no way to otherwise interpret Mr. Trump’s comment. In an attempted clarification, Mr. Trump’s team tells me he meant “whatever”, not “where ever.”

( No Eric that’s the way your Girlie PC Man wants it to sound)

The other day, we sent out the agenda for the RedState Gathering. The file had been saved with the “final” tag and the Washington sent it out. But it still had Governor Deal on the agenda and it did not have Donald Trump on it. Obviously, it wasn’t the final.

I called Mr. Trump’s campaign manager and apologized and told him I felt bad for Mr. Trump because he has gotten so much sh*t from so many people and the party itself wasn’t treating the guy at the front of the pack as legitimate.

I think that is true. And I’ve been very sympathetic to Donald Trump because so many of the people who have led the party astray refuse to even treat him as a legitimate candidate.

But I also think that while Mr. Trump resonates with a lot of people with his bluntness, including me to a degree, there are just real lines of decency a person running for President should not cross.

His comment was inappropriate. It is unfortunate to have to disinvite him. But I just don’t want someone on stage who gets a hostile question from a lady and his first inclination is to imply it was hormonal. It just was wrong.

I have invited Megyn Kelly to attend in Donald Trump’s place tomorrow night.

While the press has been bashing him for speaking in populist generalities with no policy of substance, this stick of dynamitIe has been sitting on the library shelves collecting dust for 4 years. What Do We Really Know About Trump’s Plan for America?

REPOSTED FROM BARBWIRE.COM

Here’s the Nonsense: Donald Trump is too outspoken, flamboyant, irreverent, and has hair that I hate for me to consider him a serious candidate for president. We need to force him out of the race immediately.

Here’s the Horse Sense: Trump may be all of those things, but speaking your mind has historically been something Americans take pride in. We need to know more about his plans for America before we make a decision about him. And as for his hair, if you judge people based on their hair, weight, skin color, the way they dress, or anything else that says nothing about their character or ability, then you need to look in a mirror to see the real fool.

The media, politicians from both parties, political pundits, and many talk show hosts are leading the charge to attack and/or discount Donald Trump’s run for the White House. Criticisms of the most superficial things control the conversation. Leftist groups have mounted campaigns to have those who do business with him quit doing so. Yet with all the criticism and threats, Trump not only doesn’t back down, the stronger he stands the more his poll numbers rise. And through it all there seems to be no constructive arguments against Trump.

We’re seeing no attacks on his plans for America. No denial of the truths he’s speaking, just attacks twisting his words through a politically correct filter. But Americans who aren’t involved in the day-to-day world of politics and reporting on it, or who aren’t members of the politically correct class, are hearing from Trump the words that they themselves think. He is willing to say what they think and not back down when confronted. He’s rapidly becoming a modern day icon with John Wayne strength that Americans look up to.

Americans are tired of always losing.

Since World War II we’ve never fought a war to win. We see our soldiers come home to tell us about the “rules of engagement” they must follow and that don’t give them a fighting chance, let alone allow them to fight to win.

Our jobs have been lost to foreign countries.

Our economy is faltering.

Our children are getting education on a level lower than anytime in American history. Most of our college graduates today would have a hard time passing high school exams from the middle of the 20th century. Our educational institutions have become nothing more than indoctrination camps to teach our children how bad America is and how it must be changed.

All this and more cause Americans to be very weary of what’s happened in our country. Americans want a winner who is willing to fight for them. And when Donald Trump says, “I love America. And when you love something, you protect it passionately – fiercely, even.” the American people rise up and cheer. This is a message they yearn for deep in their hearts.

The criticisms of Trump are amazingly missing something. They are lacking in negative stories from those who work for him or have had business dealings with him. After all the employees he’s had and all the business deals he’s made there is a void of criticism. In fact, long term employees call him a strong and merciful leader and say he is far more righteous and of high integrity than people may think.

And while it may surprise many, he’s actually humble when it comes to his generosity and kindness. A good example is a story that tells of his limo breaking down on a deserted highway outside of New York City. A middle-aged couple stopped to help him and as a thank you he paid off their mortgage, but he didn’t brag about that. Generous and good people rarely talk of charity they bestow on others.

But as much as all this is interesting, the real thing that people want to know is what Donald Trump’s plan is for America. It’s funny how so many people say they don’t know what it is, or they act like Trump is hiding it. The information is readily available if people would just do a little homework. But, since most Americans won’t do their own research, here, in no particular order, is an overview of many of Trumps positions and plans:

1.) Trump believes that America should not intervene militarily in other country’s problems without being compensated for doing so. If America is going to risk the lives of our soldiers and incur the expense of going to war, then the nations we help must be willing to pay for our help. Using the Iraq War as an example, he cites the huge monetary expense to American taxpayers (over $1.5 trillion, and possibly much more depending on what sources are used to determine the cost) in addition to the cost in human life. He suggests that Iraq should have been required to give us enough of their oil to pay for the expenses we incurred. He includes in those expenses the medical costs for our military and $5 million for each family that lost a loved one in the war and $2 million for each family of soldiers who received severe injuries.

2.) Speaking of the military, Trump wants America to have a strong military again. He believes the single most important function of the federal government is national defense. He has said he wants to find the General Patton or General MacArthur that could lead our military buildup back to the strength it needs to be. While he hasn’t said it directly that I know of, Trump’s attitude about America and about winning tells me he’d most likely be quick to eliminate rules of engagement that handicap our military in battle. Clearly Trump is a “win at all costs” kind of guy, and I’m sure that would apply to our national defense and security, too.

3.) Trump wants a strong foreign policy and believes that it must include 7 core principles (which seem to support my comment in the last point):

American interests come first. Always. No apologies.

Maximum firepower and military preparedness.

Only go to war to win.

Stay loyal to your friends and suspicious of your enemies.

Keep the technological sword razor sharp.

See the unseen. Prepare for threats before they materialize.

Respect and support our present and past warriors.

4.) Trump believes that terrorists who are captured should be treated as military combatants, not as criminals like the Obama administration treats them.

5.) Trump makes the point that China’s manipulation of their currency has given them unfair advantage in our trade dealings with them. He says we must tax their imports to offset their currency manipulation, which will cause American companies to be competitive again and drive manufacturing back to America and create jobs here. Although he sees China as the biggest offender, he believes that America should protect itself from all foreign efforts to take our jobs and manufacturing. For example, Ford is building a plant in Mexico and Trump suggests that every part or vehicle Ford makes in Mexico be taxed 35% if they want to bring it into the U. S., which would cause companies like Ford to no longer be competitive using their Mexican operations and move manufacturing back to the U. S., once again creating jobs here.

Yes, I like Trump. Yes, I am angry: A Woman’s Perspective

6By Jennifer Kabbany — July 21, 2026

Yes, I likeTrump. Yes, I am angry.

I am sick of pundits on the right and left admonishing people like me for liking Donald Trump, calling us idiots and racists or telling us we’re ruining the Republican Party because we appreciate his candor and courage.

Do I want Donald Trump to be the next president of the United States? No.

Am I excited by his candidacy and campaign? Hell yeah.

While I understand on an intellectual and electable level why Scott Walker, Marco Rubio or Rand Paul make the sensible choice – and one of those three men will get my primary vote – I can’t help but be drawn to Trump’schutzpah. He stands for capitalism. He stands for American exceptionalism.

So he doesn’t have “a filter.” Aren’t we all tired of political correctness shoved down our throats, telling us what to say and how to say it? We’ve been chided for decades not to offend people, and where has that gotten us? To an America where college professors are told they shouldn’t say “America is the land of opportunity” and other innocuous phrases. An America where asking people a simple question is deemed a “microaggression” akin to vile racism.

In to this atmosphere, here comes Trump. He’s brash. He’s rude. He says whatever the hell he wants. He’s a red-blooded American. It’s such a contrast to the beta-male we’ve been led by for the last seven years, a pacifistic and a socialist who throws baseballs like a sissy and wears grandma jeans.

But Trump has been accused of attracting the “angry middle.” There is truth to that.

I’m angry our nation’s borders have been left wide open and vulnerable. I’m angry an illegal alien and multi-felon who should have been deported took an innocent life. I’m angry Iran was given clearance to devellope a nuclear bomb. I’m angry we traded five Taliban terrorists for AWOL traitor Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

I’m angry Obamacare was shoved down our throats. I’m angry nearly half my paycheck is siphoned by the government to pay for welfare queens, bloated government programs, and stupid federal studies such as“why lesbians are so fat.”; I’m angry our government continues warrantless spy tactics on all our email and phone calls in violation of the Fourth Amendment. I’m angry Republicans have let Democrats have their way with nearly everything.

I’m angry the federal government took over K-12 education with the nauseating Common Core and has effectively dumbed down and radicalized public schooling. I’m angry poor communities are not allowed the option of school choice - except ti forefit federal money. I’m angry tax-payer funded scholars ardently claim racism and global warming are the biggest threats facing this nation.

I’m angry Hillary Clinton can violate umpteen laws and never have to answer for it.I’m angry people who break the law and enter our country illegally are given piles of taxpayer money. I’m angry the IRS targeted Christians and conservatives – and destroyed evidence during an active probe –without consequence.

I’m angry laws are passed that erode our Second Amendment rights using emotional pleas that lack an ounce of common sense. I’m angry Americans who joined the Tea Party were tossed aside as xenophobic bigots instead of being recognized as patriotic citizens just trying to stand up for liberty.

Yes, I am angry. And every day, I swallow my anger like a bitter pills, and pray for this country. I have hope through my Christian faith that, in the end, things will turn out alright. But I have a son and a daughter, and who knows when “the end” will come?

Meanwhile, I hear a guy like Trump, and he says some cringe-worthy things. He says somethings that go too far. But on the flip side, he also says some things that make sense. And I like that he breaks the mold and says out loud what many think or say in the privacy of their living rooms.

That’s why Trump is top the polls, and that’s why I like him. Presidential material? No. And if he loses the primary and goes third party then he’ll earn my contempt. Yet I hope he knows better, and I think he does.

But gosh darnit, someone has got to start calling it like they see it. The wishy-washy middle has gotten us nowhere.

Ayatollah tweets photo of Obama with gun to own head – how apropos . . . shall we send more money?

6BY TOM TILLISON FOR BIZPACREVIEW.COM

Iran’s supreme leader seems to be threatening President Barack Obama.

Seeking an “up” vote from Congress, the Obama administration is working hard to prop up its “historic” nuclear deal with Iran, but its partners across the table are not helping matters.

In the aftermath of the controversial agreement, the Persian Gulf country persists in saber-rattling.

Adding to the “death to America” chants that marked a speech he made in the days after announcement of the deal, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei posted a cryptic message on social media that included what looks to be an image of President Barack Obama holding a gun to his own head.

US president has said he could knock out Iran’s military. We welcome no war, nor do we initiate any war, but..

FBI Investigation Of Hillary Is Criminal Probe. Can You Say Deep Doo Doo.

Oh please oh please let there be some good guys left in this world and nail this thief. ~Steve~

————————————————————————————————-

The FBI investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s unsecured email account is not just a fact-finding venture — it’s a criminal probe, sources told The Post on Wednesday.

The feds are investigating to what extent Clinton relied on her home server and other private devices to send and store classified documents, according to a federal source with knowledge of the inquiry.

“It’s definitely a criminal probe,” said the source. “I’m not sure why they’re not calling it a criminal probe.

“The DOJ [Department of Justice] and FBI can conduct civil investigations in very limited circumstances,” but that’s not what this is, the source stressed. “In this case, a security violation would lead to criminal charges. Maybe DOJ is trying to protect her campaign.”

Clinton’s camp has downplayed the inquiry as civil and fact-finding in nature. Clinton herself has said she is “confident” that she never knowingly sent or received anything that was classified.

The inspector general for the intelligence community has told Congress that of 40 Clinton emails randomly reviewed as a sample of her correspondence as secretary of state, four contained classified information.

Obamacare the JOKE!

Subject: The Chicago Plumber

Only weeks after leaving office on January 20, 2017, former President Barack Obama discovers a leak under his sink, so he calls Troy the Plumber to come out and fix it.

Troy drives to President Obama’s new house, which is located in a very exclusive, gated community near Chicago, where all the residents have a net income of way more than $250,000 per year.

Troy arrives and takes his tools into the house. He is led to the guest bathroom that contains the leaky pipe under the sink. Troy assesses the problem and tells Obama that it’s an easy repair, that will take less than 10 minutes. Obama asks Troy how much it will cost. Troy checks his rate chart and says, “$9,500.”

“What?! $9,500?!” Obama asks, stunned, “But you said it’s an easy repair. Michelle will whip me if I pay a plumber that much!”

Troy says, “Yes, but what I do is charge those who make more than $250,000 per year a much higher amount so I can fix the plumbing of poorer people for free. This has always been my philosophy. As a matter of fact, I lobbied the Democrat Congress, who passed this philosophy into law. Now all plumbers must do business this way. It’s known as the ‘Affordable Plumbing Act of 2014’. I’m surprised you haven’t heard of it.”

In spite of that, Obama tells Troy there’s no way he’s paying that much for a small plumbing repair, so Troy leaves. Obama spends the next hour flipping through the phone book calling for another plumber, but he finds that all other plumbing businesses in the area have gone out of business. Not wanting to pay Troy’s price, Obama does nothing and the leak goes un-repaired for several more days. A week later the leak is so bad President Obama has had to put a bucket under the sink.

Michelle is not happy as she has Oprah and guests arriving the next morning. The bucket fills up quickly and has to be emptied every hour, and there’s a risk the room will flood, so Obama calls Troy and pleads with him to return.

Troy goes back to Obama’s house, looks at the leaky pipe, checks his new rate chart and says, “Let’s see, this will now cost you $21,000.”

Obama quickly fires back, “What? A few days ago you told me it would cost $9,500!”

Troy explains, “Well, because of the ‘Affordable Plumbing Act,’ a lot of wealthier people are learning how to maintain and take care of their own plumbing, so there are fewer payers in the plumbing exchanges. As a result, the price I have to charge wealthy people like you keeps rising. Not only that, but for some reason the demand for plumbing work by those who get it for free has skyrocketed! There’s a long waiting list of those who need repairs, but the amount we get doesn’t cover our costs, especially paperwork and record-keeping. This unfortunately has put a lot of my fellow plumbers out of business, they’re not being replaced, and nobody is going into the plumbing business because they know they can’t make any money at it. I’m hurting too, all thanks to greedy rich people like you who won’t pay their ‘fair share’. On the other hand, why didn’t you buy plumbing insurance last December? If you had bought plumbing insurance available under the ‘Affordable Plumbing Act,’ all this would have been covered by your policy.”

“You mean I wouldn’t have to pay anything to have you fix my plumbing problem?” asks Obama.

“Well, not exactly,” replies Troy. “You would have had to buy the insurance before the deadline, which has passed now. And, because you’re rich, you would have had to pay $34,000 in premiums, which would have given you a ‘silver’ plan, and then, since this would have been your first repair, you would have to pay up to the $21,000 deductible, and anything over that would have a $7,500 co-pay, and then there’s the mandatory maintenance program, which is covered up to 17.5%, so there are some costs involved. Nothing is for free.”

“WHAT?!” exclaims Obama. “Why so much for a puny sink leak?!”

With a bland look, Troy replies, “Well, paperwork, mostly, like I said. And the internal cost of the program itself. You don’t think a program of this complexity and scope can run itself, do you? Besides, there are millions of folks with lower incomes than you, even many in the ‘middle class’, who qualify for subsidies that people like you must support. That’s why they call it the ‘Affordable Plumbing Act’! Only people who don’t make much money can afford it. If you want affordable plumbing, you’ll have to give away most of what you have accumulated and cut your and Michelle’s income by about 90%. Then you can qualify to GET your ‘Fair Share’ instead of GIVING it.”

“But who would pass a crazy act like the ‘Affordable Plumbing Act’?!” exclaims the exasperated Obama.

After a sigh, Troy replies, “Congress … because they didn’t read it.”

Since John McCain Brought It Up – Why Did He Obstruct Pro-POW Legislation, Why Do So Many Despise Him?

By RICK WELLS FOR CONSTITUTION RISING.COM

MCCAIN

Veterans, House Members and Senators are featured in this discussion of the record and anti-veteran behavior of Senator John McCain, particularly after his release from his North Vietnamese captors.

They remark how odd it is that John McCain, once held as a POW himself, would be so bitterly opposed to efforts on behalf of those who might have been left behind by our nation and still be being held in captivity. Those acts include blocking the release of classified intelligence regarding the issue of POW/MIA’s. Former Senator Bob Smith (R-NH) describes information being deliberately withheld from a Select Committee on POW/MIA affairs by the U.S. federal government.

Veterans raise the question of whether or not McCain was a collaborator with the enemy, as is strongly rumored, and whether it is out of concerns for damaging information being revealed that McCain is so protective of the still classified information.

There is evidence that the United States is complicit in actively covering up information relating to POW’s and MIA’s in both Korea and Vietnam, and their subsequent transfer to other nations, such as China and the former Soviet Union, now Russia. McCain and John Kerry are exposed as assisting in that cover-up.

Another interesting point about John Kerry that is revealed by Tracy Usry, a former US Senate Chief Investigator, is that the Heinz Family, which is John Kerry’s wife’s Ketchup Empire, was given sole rights for the negotiation of all real estate issues within Vietnam. If that is true, there could not be a more egregious conflict of interest imaginable.

There is also information regarding McCain’s reputation and nickname given by his captives of the “Songbird,” which refers to his willingness to sing like a bird, telling all he knew from the very beginning, and without the need for torture.

John McCain has never had these questions raised on a national stage before. In spite of the complicit media doing their best to condemn Donald Trump and rally to McCain’s assistance, thereby eliminating a serious campaign threat to the status quo of non-representative government, the truth may be leaking its way out of the tightly held grip of McCain, Kerry and their anti-American collaborators.

McCain may wish he hadn’t picked a fight with Donald Trump. There are lots of people who have come to that realization the hard way. With a reelection fight due 2016, McCain may have introduced issues into the debate he would have preferred had remained outside of the public domain and discussion.

Donald Trump Where He Stands On A Range Of Issues.

Donald Trump On Gun Control.

OK folks, it’s time to start taking Trump a little more seriously. Here’s an interview Trump did on 7-11-15 . I found on InfoWars.com. Tomorrow I’ll post another piece on Trump on where he stands on just about every other issue. I think you’ll be surprised at what you think you know about him and where he actually does stand. Yes he has evolved on a few issues, heck what person hasn’t, but what’s surprising is that he has pretty much held the same beliefs for a long time.

Hello Mr Trump.

Many of our readers are very excited that you have thrown your hat in the ring to run for president in 2016.

They like the idea that you have nothing to do with politics and that you have real experience running large, successful business, successful being the key word. I hope you and your family are up for the challenges of running for president.

AmmoLand:

Speaking of family I know you and your sons recently attended the 2015 NRA Annual Meeting, where you were asked to speak. How long have you been active with the NRA and what do you think about the influence the NRA has in politics?

Donald Trump:

“I am a Life Member of the NRA and am proud of their service in protecting our right to keep and bear arms. The NRA’s efforts to stop dangerous, gun-banning legislation and regulation is invaluable. The media focus on those efforts overshadows the great work the NRA does on behalf of safety and conservation.

I have a permit to carry and, living in New York, I know firsthand the challenges law-abiding citizens have in exercising their Second Amendment rights. My most trusted sources are my sons, Don, Jr. and Eric. They are fantastic sportsmen and are deeply involved in hunting, competitive shooting, and habitat conservation.”
AmmoLand:

The deceptive term “Assault Weapons” has proven to be a buzz word among the anti-gun media. Back in 2000 in your book “The America We Deserve” you wrote “The Republicans walk the NRA line and refuse to even limited restrictions. I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I also support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun.” Since that time the AR15 rifle, what the media calls an “assault weapons“, has become America’s most popular firearm with millions and millions of them owned by good people.

Do you still stand by this quote or has your thinking evolved over the 15 years since you wrote that line?

Donald Trump:

“I certainly stand by my opposition to Gun Control when it comes to taking guns from law-abiding citizens. You mention that the media describes the AR-15 as an “assault rifle,” which is one example of the many distortions they use to sell their agenda. However, the AR-15 does not fall under this category. Gun-banners are unfortunately preoccupied with the AR-15, magazine capacity, grips, and other aesthetics, precisely because of its popularity.”

“To the Left every gun is an assault weapon.”

“Gun control does not reduce crime. It has consistently failed to stop violence. Americans are entitled to protect their families, their property and themselves. In fact, in right-to-carry states the violent crime rate is 24% lower than the rest of the United States and the murder rate is 28% lower. This should not be up for debate.”
AmmoLand:

You have been a long time resident of New York City and we can only assume that you know former Mayor Michael Bloomberg pretty well. We have followed his efforts to undermine the Second Amendment through his various anti-gun front groups. What does he have against the RKBA and why don’t we see wealthy conservatives making a similar ‘all in’ push to support gun rights?

Donald Trump:

“Mayor Bloomberg and I are friends. However, on this we agree to disagree. I believe there are two reasons you do not see a similar effort from Mayor Bloomberg’s polar opposite. ”

“First, many wealthy live behind gates, armed security, and away from crime. They may have little understanding of how fellow citizens are challenged in defending themselves and their property. The second reason is that we have the NRA and other groups already in the arena.”

“The Trump family knows these organizations are the best investment if we are to defend the right to keep and bear arms.”
AmmoLand:

Karl Rove recently voiced support for a repeal of the Second Amendment as a way to stop gun violence. What do you think of this suggestion or, as our readers believe, is it a God given right that can not be repealed by politicians?

Donald Trump:

“Karl Rove is a proven loser. He wasted $400 million in 2012 and did not win a single race.

“The Second Amendment is a bedrock natural right of the individual to defend self, family, and property. It is a ridiculous notion to ever repeal it.”

“For Rove to even think it shows a lack of respect for all of the freedoms in our Constitution and a complete ignorance of our shared American inheritance.”
AmmoLand:

As we have reported on AmmoLand Shooting Sports News, two of your sons, Eric and Donald Trump Jr., have been the target of harassment by anti-hunting groups after they posted pictures of their successes while hunting in Africa. What advice do you have for other hunters that maybe be being bullied online or elsewhere by this shrill minority?

Donald Trump:

“My advice is to remain vigilant. Harassment of this nature will always be with us, but we know that Americans have inherited a strong outdoor and shooting heritage that we are happy to defend.”

“The 2nd Amendment is right, not a privilege. The small minority of anti-everything activists may be vocal, but we have facts, and the Constitution, on our side.”

“I would also add that hunters contribute more to the preservation of game animals and their habitat than any of these protesters. Hunters are the original conservationists. To see this historically you have to look no further then Teddy Roosevelt and his creation of the National Parks System.”
AmmoLand:

Universal Background Checks to acquire guns is something President Obama has long been pushing for, yet background checks would not or did not stop any of the recent shooters from getting guns. What is your position on Background Checks? And do you see a need for even more government approval for someone to own a gun?

Donald Trump:

“I do not support expanding background checks. The current background checks do not work.”

“They make it more difficult for law abiding citizens to acquire firearms while consistently failing to stop criminals from getting guns. We should re-examine our policy to make sure that these prohibitions do not impede law abiding citizens from exercising their Second Amendment rights.”
AmmoLand:

A lot of Democrats in politics today are crying for firearms magazine restrictions. But as we saw just with the Charleston, S.C. church killer, he used standard capacity magazines and quickly changed them out five or more times. So how does it make any sense to have gun magazine size limits?

Donald Trump:

“Gun magazine limits do not make common sense. I have long opposed such limits. For instance, I fought the SAFE Act in New York, which I call the “Unsafe Act.” I also spoke at a rally in Albany championing gun rights and protesting the Unsafe Act. The law limited capacity to seven rounds, as if criminals were going to take rounds out of their magazines before committing a crime. It was later changed to a limit of ten rounds, but the entire episode was a complete disaster.”

“Never mindful of the results, this effort was just one more attempt to erode the Second Amendment.”
AmmoLand:

Lots of AmmoLand’s active duty readers have complained that many, if not all, of our military bases are “Gun Free Zones” and that these highly trained war fighters are left defenseless and disarmed against murderers, like the Fort Hood Shooter, when they are stationed on U.S. bases. Would you have a problem allowing our military bases to set their own polices with regard to personal weapons and do away with the “Gun Free Zones” death trap?

Donald Trump:

“[gun free zones] No, not optional. As Commander-in-Chief, I would mandate that soldiers remain armed and on alert at our military bases.

President Clinton never should have passed a ban on soldiers being able to protect themselves on bases. America’s Armed Forces will be armed.

They will be able to defend themselves against terrorists. Our brave soldiers should not be at risk because of policy created by civilian leadership. Political correctness has no place in this debate.”
AmmoLand:

Thank you for taking the time to answer some of our questions today. We wish you the best of luck in your presidential run. As we leave you would you like to tell our readers what the Second Amendment means to you and your family?

Donald Trump:

“The Trump family will stay vigilant in our support of right to keep and bear arms. And given today’s threats across the United States it is as important now as ever. National Security begins in our homes. All citizens must have the ability to protect themselves, their families, and their property. The Second Amendment is a right, not a privilege. Our safety and defense is embodied in the Second Amendment and I will always protect this most important right.

“Our country is ready for a bold new direction. We can bring common sense to Washington. This is our time to Make America Great Again!”
