If you’ve ever seen Trump give one of his longer speeches you’ve definitely heard the hilarious story he tells about how Caroline Kennedy became the U.S. Ambassador to Japan. Well we wondered just how true it was, since it makes both her and the Obama administration look really amateurish and stupid.
Here’s what we found in our factcheck of the Trump story:
It’s basically 100% true. And what’s better is that it comes straight out of Caroline’s mouth! Not only that but he actually didn’t mention the worst part – the 60 Minutes reporter clearly indicates that it was just a payback by Obama for the Kennedys supporting him instead of Hillary in 2008!
This is exactly the kind of pathetic crony politics that makes so many support Trump – they know he won’t have to pay back a bunch of supporters with political appointments, the way both Republicans and Democrats do.
