On Homosexuality?

The problem is that there is no such creature as a Homosexual or a “Gay” person. There is no science to support that hypothesis. There is no immutable distinction for homosexuality and no genetic or medically supported excuse for same sex behavior - It is a learned deviance that is masquerading as some imaginary 3rd gender. all of it designed to draw people into a false identity crisis. If there were such a thing, we would need to see genetic coding for all forms of deviant behaviors. Sexual or criminal behavior can’t be so easily defined as an uncontrollable compulsion. Unlike a proven immutable characteristic such as race or sex, homosexuality only exists in the theater of the mind. Perversion is simply perversion… Acceptable or unacceptable? I suppose moral relativists and moralists each have differing views. I am opposed on Moral grounds, ethical grounds and financial grounds as the medical costs and insurance costs for the collateral effect of sexual deviance is passed on the the larger whole. The data is compelling regarding life expectancy, life time medical costs, depression and suicide rates - on and on it goes. If there is a Gay gene… then so must there be a Bisexual, pedophile and a Prostitute gene as well… Maybe all criminals are genetically inclined also? Best to establish a Red Line of demarcation and hold the higher moral ground.

We don’t know to what extent homosexual behavior is or is not influenced by genetics, because there’s little data on sexuality in general compared to other areas of psychology. It might be a combination of factors both genetic and environmental. We just…don’t…know.
Since we don’t know, it’s a bit ridiculous to assume there MUST be genes for all behaviors. We do know that some genetic conditions like having an XYY or XXY sex chromosome combo lowers intelligence, that intelligence, height and some other physical characteristics are highly heritable, as are some diseases. But we only completed sequencing the whole human genome for the first time in 2003! We know next to nothing, compared to how much there is to study.
Homosexual behavior is not uncommon in other mammals. We don’t know if that indicates a correlation for humans or not. I don’t understand why you automatically place a negative connotation upon less common behaviors though. There’s quite a range in levels expressed between extreme masculine and extreme feminine behavior, and it doesn’t correlate completely to sexual orientation. Extremely high intelligence, what we call genius, and high levels of specific talents such as musicality are rare too, what you would call “deviant”. Perhaps they are mutations. Sometimes these rare abilities produce positive behavior and achievement, but sometimes it leads to mental illness or criminal behavior. Having a gene is only part of the equation.
The biggest problem I had with this article is a juxtaposition of philosophy (morality) over the scientific method when the two disciplines are so dissimilar. You can draw a red demarcation line if you wish, but I think that’s extremely foolish with such questions unanswerable by fact.

Be aware that psychiatry/psychology is the only “science” in which there is no proof. There are zero physiological markers for neurosis, paranoia, bi-polar or any other label that has been applied - and when a patient has been “helped” (damaged) by drugs or other therapy - there are no physiological changes ever measured.
That “science” in the new DSM states that you and Roger have a conflict - and that CONFLICT is a mental disorder. Yup - and the magic cure is (drum roll please) MORE DRUGS FOR YOU!!! YIPPEEE.
I do know that when i lived in San Francisco in the early 80s, that every single gay person i met (probably a score or so to talk on deep enough levels) had been traumatized by the opposite gender at a young age.
i submit that perhaps the gay person, as a child, decided that GENDER was the problem because they didn’t have the wisdom or experience to be able to lay the emotional or sexual abuse upon individuals. This can and does happen prior to that person’s memories - inducing the belief that they were ALWAYS gay. Perhaps they have accurately been gay as long as they can remember.

Yeah, I know. Some ignorant people think “butt stuff” is the focus for homosexuality, but it isn’t. That much we do know. Sex of any variety isn’t what humans (or other mammals) spend most time of their or energy on. It’s more like conversation, eating together, child care, and sleeping (no euphemism).
I grew up in rural Iowa. It doesn’t get any more farm than that.

My husband said the same thing Sunday roger! Just not so eloquently! It’s SIN AGAINST A HOLY GOD! Plain and simple. Satan perverts everything God has done, and sex is from God, so satan has his hand in making it a sick, twisted form of sex.
Although as a Christian, I cannot hate, BUT…..
It’s really quite simple for me, I do hate gays, with unflinching vehemence.
You rape language of meaning, you spit in God’s face and then you have the nerve to pursue indoctrinating the children with perverted curriculum and psycho-babble parading around as perceived wisdom.
If you had stayed in your damnable bedrooms, but no, you must expose genitalia and your animal frolicking in your repugnant Pride Parades and terrorize all who will not worship your painted rainbow asses! Your attempts to normalize perversity only amplifies the insanity pervading this land and I’d curse you all, but I’ll be content knowing that you have thoroughly and irrevocably cursed yourselves. Clear?

Invisible Mikey isn’t taking in the fact that many homosexuals have thousands upon thousands of partners per year. In male homosexuality, there is a 35% higher risk of anal cancers and other illnesses. The life spans of male and female homosexuals is a lot less than heterosexual life spans. Leviticus and Romans, both Old and New Testaments say it is wrong, think of Sodom and Gomorrah, think of “as in the days of Noah.” I don’t really care what people do in their own bedrooms, that’s their business, but shoving their perversion in the faces of heterosexual society and Christians is blatant sin, and sin used to hide in back alleys, but now it marches down Main Street. Our culture is disintegrating before our very eyes.

Those who are attracted to the same sex for the purpose of engaging in sexual relations are showing they are sinners and under God’s just condemnation because they refuse to repent and acknowledge Him as God. They can try to justify their evil and accept support by apostates and wicked workers, but unless they repent and put their faith in Jesus Christ they are bound for an eternity in hell. When their wickedness is coupled with their virulent promotion of their wicked perversion throughout the world, their just judgment in the eternal fires of hell will satisfy God’s holy justice but will not undo the incredible evil and harm they have perpetrated upon mankind. Therefore their condemnation and eternal torture will be even greater then if they had just practiced the evil behavior in private.
