Are Christians Making Kim Davis Their New Idol?

My comments: It’s running 5 to 1 in agreement with my article on another website. I am truly appalled at what Kim Davis, Huckabee, and Staver have done, and they all call themselves Christians. The 5 to 1 means the believers in Christ DO HAVE GREAT DISCERNMENT! Who will Kim Davis ever win to Christ? Certainly NOT any homosexuals, she has made them hate us. And in staying in her job, rather than resigning, she doesn’t remember the verses, BE YE SEPARATE, WHAT DOES THE LIGHT HAVE TO DO WITH DARKNESS, COME OUT OF HER, We are to be the salt and light…and when we point fingers at someone and scream SINNER, there are 3 fingers pointing back at us. Of course she probably doesn’t want to give up the 80K she’s allegedly making either.

I was never a Michele Bachman fan, but I give a lot of credit to her husband who works with homosexuals who wish to come out of the lifestyle, and he shows them true compassion and Christian love…that’s what Christ was all about…bringing them to Him…How sad it is that Kim Davis has made so many homosexuals hate Christ and Christians…it will not be easy to win them to Messiah Jesus, and out of their sin.

“Out of 100 men, one will read the Bible, the other 99 will read the Christian.” ― D.L. Moody

“Tens of thousands, perhaps millions, have come into some kind of religious experience by accepting Christ, and they have not been saved.” ~ A.W. Tozer

I’ve debated whether or not to write this article, and it’s probably not a good idea to put my thoughts about Kim Davis into words. Some of you will disagree with me, although several of my friends have said the same things I’ve been thinking. Something just doesn’t smell right to me with this whole scenario.

I’ve read countless articles stating that Kim Davis has finally stood up against the homosexual agenda, and that she was jailed for her beliefs. She was actually jailed for contempt of court. They also claimed she was jailed by a pro-homosexual judge, David Bunning (enthusiastically supported by Republican Mitch McConnell) who had previously ruled that children, in Boyd County, Kentucky school district, could not opt out of diversity education, even with a religious exemption. That decision was overturned because it “effectively forces the students to speak in agreement with the school district’s view that homosexuality is a safe and healthy lifestyle that cannot be changed.”

Kim Davis became a Christian four years ago. She is an elected democrat. She has been married four times and gave birth to her twins five months after she divorced the father of the twins. She’s been married to one husband twice, and he has adopted the twins.

The leader of Liberty Counsel, Mat Staver, who provided Davis’ legal representation, said, “Her past does not matter because her slate was wiped clean four years ago when she converted to Christianity.” Her sins are forgiven if she’s truly a Christian, but that doesn’t wipe your slate clean. There are consequences for sin, even when it happened before you became a believer.

Mat Staver, Council for National Policy (CNP) member, has been waiting for just this moment. (Please remember that the Council for National Policy is nothing more than the right arm of the Council on Foreign Relations). He is the former dean of Jerry Falwell’s Liberty University’s School of Law, where he has repeatedly urged officials to break the law when it comes to gay marriage. (Jerry Falwell was a charter member of the CNP). Kim Davis is the test case Staver’s been waiting for. Staver has focused public attention on his legal argument that Davis should be able to order her entire County Clerk’s office to follow her personal religious views, even in defiance of court orders. Staver also claims that LGBT rights lead to persecution of Christians. He equates this situation to the Holocaust and handing a Jewish person over to the Nazis. Davis has also been compared to Rosa Parks.

I certainly would beg to differ on both accounts. Kim Davis has a choice, unlike the Jews who were killed by the Nazis. Rosa Parks, who was so exhausted from work that she simply sat down where she could, and then refused to get back up and go to the back of the bus, was tired of being a second class citizen. Kim Davis could have resigned and left with her Christianity intact and without spending one minute in jail.

Several people said they thought she had the bravery of a new Christian…but after four years, she is not a “new” babe in Christ. My reaction was three-fold.

First, I was surprised that she didn’t just resign her post as the three women in Decatur County, Tennessee did. Link None of those women really drew the attention that Kim Davis drew nationwide, but they followed their Christian beliefs.

Second, I wondered what was happening in the country while our attention was being diverted to the Kim Davis debacle. President Obama was making up new laws and forcing us to pay for men wanting to become women and women wanting to become men, via Obamacare.

Obama also directed his administration to allow 10,000 Syrian refugees into America in the next fiscal year, all Muslim, and many who could be terrorists. Obama plans to resettle these refugees in Red States in order to dilute the Republic majority and drain the budgets of local governments. Link

To top it off, the DOD gave last minute notice to the FAA before going dark in five east coast states and off the shoreline from September 1st, to October 1st. Doesn’t that sound odd to you during the 14th anniversary of September 11, 2001?

Third, I wondered if the presidential candidates who came to her defense had any part in her decision (as a Democrat) to disobey the law? They basically all seemed to support her stance of religious freedom, other than a couple who felt she needed to obey the law or resign. Link Mike Huckabee, a losing presidential candidate, wasted precious few moments before slotting a penitentiary visit into his schedule. The former Arkansas governor visited Davis to express displeasure at what he terms “the criminalization of Christianity in our country.” Huckabee applied more legal analysis, too: “What a world, where Hillary Clinton isn’t in jail but Kim Davis is.”

I could go into why I distrust pro-Constitutional Convention Huckabee, but that would be another entire article. My guess is that this entire situation will result in a book deal for Kim Davis.

I know that Kim Davis asked for her name to be removed from the licenses and this was denied because it would have to be changed by the state legislature who is not in session until next January. As well, Kentucky state law states marriage is between a man and a woman, but apparently that no longer counts with the Supreme Court decision. Just as in Roe vs. Wade, state law was apparently overturned once Obergefell v. Hodges decision came down.

As an elected official, Davis cannot be fired, but she can be impeached. Davis’ impeachment would have to wait until the Legislature’s regular session set for next year or a costly special session. On her part, Davis says she will not resign.

A friend of mine suggested that Kim Davis should run for congress in 2016. He said, “Seriously! Look at the publicity she could capitalize on. She should resign her county position at this time and simultaneously announce her candidacy for U.S. Congress in her home district in 2016. The timing is perfect. She could probably beat the incumbent no matter who he or she is!”

Conclusion

Many of my constant readers will probably be angry at me for taking this stance. However, there is something that tells me this was a planned situation, especially since Staver and Huckabee are involved…it’s that little voice that says…”Uh-oh, something isn’t right here.”

Yes, there is a war against our Judeo-Christian society, and no one seems to really be paying attention. Why? Because the pulpits of America are silent. What did Rev. Finney say in the 1800s?

“If there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the public press lacks moral discernment, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the world loses its interest in Christianity, the pulpit is responsible for it. If satan rules in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it. If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the pulpit is responsible for it.” —Rev. Charles Finney, 1792-1875

From Matt Walsh’s blog:

The Bible is clear. We are to put on the full armor of God and having done all to Stand. That means to stand for righteousness. Jesus condemned. He denounced. He caused trouble. He disrupted the established order. On one occasion — or at least one recorded occasion — He used violence. This Jesus saw the money changers in the temple and how did He respond? He wasn’t polite about it. I’d even say He was downright intolerant. He fashioned a whip (this is what the lawyers would call ‘premeditation’) and physically drove the merchants away. He turned over tables and shouted. He caused a scene. [John 2:15] Link

But Jesus never joined with the government. He said, ” Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar’s, and unto God the things which be God’s..” Luke 20:23-25

Do I believe there is a war against Christianity? Yes, I do. I believe that war will succeed because the pulpits are not doing their jobs today. We have 2,000 to 4,000 babies being murdered in their mother’s wombs every day, and then their little bodies and parts sold for profit, and the pulpits are silent. There is no real outcry from the pulpits…no marching in the streets.

Kim Davis, a Democrat, claims she is a Christian, but is working for the government who promotes these atrocities, and despite the first amendment of the Bill of Rights which protects her Christian freedoms, this government has trampled those freedoms. The judiciary (Supreme Court) does not make law, but has affirmed law in this case. Unless the states wish to nullify this law through their legislatures, it will remain the law of the land. We all know the states love federal money and will not change the law unless there is a massive outcry from the citizenry, which I don’t expect to happen. Thus, those Christians who wish to continue working for the government either have to abide by the law, or resign their positions.

Do I support Kim Davis’s stance? Actually, no, I don’t, and I’m not going to bewail how Christians are being put upon. Had I been Kim Davis, I’d have resigned rather than making myself a public spectacle. And yes, I’ll probably get a some negative mail from this article.

Judge Who Jailed Kim Davis Also Ordered Opposition to Sodomites to be Re-Educated

Written by: Tim Brown

Now, we’re getting somewhere. The judge that ordered Kim Davis to be jailed for not breaking the law, but opposing his unlawful orders, is the same judge behind re-educating (indoctrinating) Kentucky student who opposed sodomy. That judge, a Bush appointee no less, was none other than US District Judge David Bunning.

In 2003, the communist American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) sued the Boyd County Board of Education. The suit was to bully the Boyd County High School into allowing a “gay-straight” alliance club to meet. Parents overwhelmingly spoke out against the club, but to no avail. (Hint: Parents who love your kids, get them out of these indoctrination centers now!)

This same group, the ACLU, is also the same organization that filed suit against Kim Davis.

Judge Bunning ordered the allowance of the sodomite-straight club on campus, despite the fact that he had no jurisdiction to do so.

He wrote in his ruling, “Absent a preliminary injunction, plaintiffs will be unable to meet at school, unable to benefit from a forum for discussion with other students who are suffering the effects of harassment based on sexual orientation, and unable to work with other students to foster tolerance among all students.”

Christian News reports:

But Bunning also required the school district to implement training as part of a settlement, which mandated school staff and students to undergo diversity education, “a significant portion of which would be devoted to issues of sexual orientation and gender harassment.”

However, a number of students objected to being forced to watch a video that asserted that it is wrong to oppose homosexuality and that a person’s sexuality cannot be changed. They discovered that they could not opt-out of the training without being penalized, and contacted the legal organization Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) for assistance.

ADF then sued the Boyd County Board of Education over the matter on behalf of student Timothy Morrison and his parents, who said that the re-education requirement “effectively forces the students to speak in agreement with the school district’s view that homosexuality is a safe and healthy lifestyle that cannot be changed.”

But in 2006, Bunning again ruled that the students must watch the video and could not opt-out because of their Christian identity, stating that the education “rationally related to a legitimate educational goal, namely to maintain a safe environment.” He said that the training wouldn’t mean that students would have to change their religious beliefs, therefore, an opt-out was unnecessary.

Bunning then denied the students request who were refusing the training.

“Plaintiffs are not requesting that a student absent from the training be considered an ‘excused’ or that the Board offer an alternate assignment on the issue of diversity. Rather, they seek to opt-out of the training altogether,” Bunning wrote.

“Given the requirements of the consent decree, the Board cannot meet this demand. Moreover, as there is no burden on plaintiffs’ freedom of speech, free exercise or other constitutional right, there is simply no basis for an opt-out,” he added.

He then appealed to a First Circuit ruling, in which he noted, “If all parents had a fundamental constitutional right to dictate individually what the schools teach their children, the schools would be forced to cater a curriculum for each student whose parents had genuine moral disagreements with the school’s choice of subject matter.”

That, my friends, is statism, plain and simple. But, of course, the schools can push any depravity, historical revisionism and even religion they want to, so long as the state agrees that it is so.

Parents, the state does not own your children. They are a gift to you from God (Psalm 127-28). You are to teach them diligently (Deuteronomy 6), not the state. The more you send your children to state indoctrination, the more they will think like statists, and, like the communist Chinese, they will turn your children against you. I have already provided sources and means for you to begin educating your precious children on your own for free… and you can do it!

This judge’s previous ruling and the ruling against Mrs. Davis demonstrates that he should be impeached, charged and justice be brought down upon him… and if those who took the oath to uphold the law, namely Sheriff Jack Carter won’t carry out the enforcement of the law, then it is up to the people to carry it out. What will you do people of Rowan County Kentucky?

Mike Huckabee Confronts Kentucky Clerk’s Jailing

My Comments: I did not want to post this because I am staunchly against Mike Huckabee and always have been for many reasons. However, Pastor Austin Miles is a personal friend and wanted this to get out to as many as possible so they could pray for Kim Davis. Huckabee keeps pushing the rotten FAIRTAX, which many people think will be a great boon to our economy, but in fact will result in a 30% (not 23% national sales tax) national sales tax.

As well, Huckabee wants a Constitutional Convention with the FairTax. He says it’s to get rid of the 16th amendment (income taxes), but why would anyone want a Con-con to get rid of an amendment? We got rid of the 18th amendment (prohibition of alcoholic beverages) by approving the 21st amendment (which repealed the 18th). In our socialist/communist society today, messing with the Constitution in any way is pure stupidity. We need to enforce it, not change it.

In 2008, the Huckster was proclaiming ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION is our chance to atone for slavery……Then weeks later, I got a request from him in the mail for a donation TO FIGHT illegal immigration !!! Mike Huckabee actually arranged for a Mexican Consulate to locate in Little Rock, with the State of Arkansas paying for many of their expenses, and arranged to lease office space to them for $1 a year.

“This whole scheme to get a Mexican consulate to locate in Little Rock appears to be nothing more than a veiled invitation for illegal immigrants to come to Arkansas to work for the Arkansas corporations who want cheap labor.” “The package is enhanced by social welfare benefits provided by the state of Arkansas and financing assistance to support the Mexican consulate’s presence in the state,” attorney Chip Sexton said. In actuality, Huckabee made Arkansas a sanctuary state while he was governor.

Huckabee has “destroyed the conservative movement” in Arkansas, and left the Republican Party a shambles. Yet some of the same evangelicals who sold us on George W. Bush as a ‘compassionate conservative’ are now trying to sell us on Mike Huckabee.” Don’t be fooled!

The only reason Huckabee in going to see Kim Davis is that it is a great photo op and press for his presidential candidacy. The only person he cares about is Mike Huckabee.

Donald Trump was right. The Supreme Court issued a new national law that sodomites could marry. It is the law. So why didn’t Kim Davis allow others under her to issue the licenses…surely some of them wouldn’t have had a problem with it. I actually give more credit to the two women in TN who quit their jobs so they didn’t have to issue these licenses, than I do to Kim Davis. I know that God’s law supersedes these immoral laws of men, but I also know there are other ways to avoid doing something that is against your Christian faith.

The Supreme court is ruled by those who hate Christians, and guess what? The Republicans in the Senate approved the nominations of Obama’s justices, Sotomeyer and Kagan. And let’s not leave out Kennedy, Ginsburg, and Breyer. The first amendment states: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. One would think it is spelled out clearly that Kim Davis didn’t sign on for doing this in her job, and she is being deprived of her religious rights, according to the first amendment of the Bill of Rights. Surely someone else in that office can issue the marriage licenses to same same sex couples. I would quit that job before I’d recant what I believe, and sit in jail forever.

Now to the Pastor’s article….and forgive my long comments.

by Rev. Austin Miles

ASHLAND, Kentucky (9/4/15)-Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee is the ONLY politician to put everything on hold to assist a Kentucky County Clerk who has been wrongfully jailed specifically for her Christian Beliefs.

Obama, a product of electile dysfunction, would certainly not be bothered to step in, nor any others in D.C., including the woman’s fellow democrats. The only ones Obama will assist is anyone connected to LGBTQ.

Indeed, Mr. Huckabee made a personal phone call to her, to offer his prayers and support. He will personally visit her in jail this coming Tuesday, September the 8th.

Kim Davis is the court clerk for Rowan County in Kentucky. Her crime? She refused to issue marriage licenses to two same sex couples, which would conflict with her deeply held Christian beliefs. This resulted with dozens of same sex couples storming the clerk’s office yelling and screaming at her, disrupting the business of the day conducted by that office.

The two homosexual couples then rushed to nearby Morehead to file a complaint with U.S. District Judge David Bunning who was more than eager to haul Mrs. Davis to court and charge her with derelict of duty, or more accurately put, for being a Christian.

She stood firm, not giving in to compromising her beliefs. She was threatened with a year in jail but still stood firm. Then yesterday, September 3rd, marshals seized her, took her into custody and threw her in jail. What is worse, Judge Bunning stated that he will keep her in jail until she recants and agrees to issue marriage licenses to “gays.” And that is where she is today, in a jail cell.

This is an outrage that cannot nor WILL not be tolerated. This means one can be thrown in jail and remain there until you agree to do anything sodomites tell you to do. To force one to work for you is ‘servitude,’ which supposedly went out when slavery was ended.

And what on earth is with the American people? They appear to be hypnotized. Then again, people with low esteem will hop on the band wagon to “protect” gays, or anyone else to prove what good people they are.

It was astonishing to see Jimmy Fallon in his opening monologue mention that Kentucky now allows same sex marriage, which brought cheers from the audience. It was not just gays that cheered, but everyone else. With the help of the media, it just seems that this is the thing to do.

The Communist Liberal Press has added fuel to the fire by stating that Mrs. Davis had taken an oath to fulfill the duties of the office she was elected to serve.

NEWS FLASH! When she took that oath, the office served traditional marriage couples which, for centuries, have consisted of one man and one woman. She served her office faithfully.

HOWEVER: All those duties changed drastically when the Supreme Court voted, against the will of the people and the constitution, that sodomite “marriages” could take place, because, they belched, that is their Constitutional right. (?)

Yes, Mrs. Davis swore to carry out the duties that were in place when she was elected, but those duties were absolutely not the same duties she agreed to uphold. That is a breach of contract. What is worse, she would have to affix her signature on that bogus and immoral marriage license indicating that she was endorsing it.

In a letter he sent out to supporters, Mr. Huckabee stated: “I am proud of Kim for standing strong for her beliefs. I am headed to Kentucky on Tuesday (September 8, 2026) to stand with Kim Davis. We must end this criminalization of Christianity!”

And here is his note about a petition now being signed that he will present to Kentucky officials. He needs 25,000 signatures to stop this madness.

“I stand with Kim Davis and every American of faith under attack by Washington elites who have nothing but disdain for us, our faith and the Constitution. If you stand with us, please sign my petition in support of religious liberty here:”

http://www.mikehuckabee.com/index.cfm?p=defend-religious-liberty

With gratitude,

Mike Huckabee

So please, sign this petition. Then, perhaps you will be stirred to join Mr. Huckabee in Kentucky on Tuesday to show strength against what is being forced upon us, which will only be stopped when we push back. That moment is here. This can be our Lexington (Mass) shot heard around the world.

GoFundMe nixes fundraiser for Kentucky clerk: Site claims Kim Davis’ case violates updated terms and conditions

My Comments: Why didn’t she allow others under her to issue the licenses…surely some of them wouldn’t have had a problem with it. I give more credit to the two in TN who quit so they didn’t have to issue these licenses, than I do to this woman. I know that God’s law supersedes these immoral laws of men, but I also know there are other ways to avoid doing something that is against your Christian faith. She could have done that. As for GoFundMe, they obviously hate Christians, so why ever use them…Actually Trump was right, it is the law, and she could have avoided all of this by allowing those under her to issue the licenses. Sadly, that Supreme court is ruled by those who hate Christians and guess what? The Republicans put those people in there…including Sotomeyer and Kagan and Kennedy. In the state of TN, our two Republican Trotskyite Senators voted to approve the nomination of Sotomeyer and Kagan…

Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis

The left-leaning fundraising site GoFundMe has declined to accept a fundraising campaign for jailed Rowan County, Kentucky, clerk Kim Davis.

Davis was jailed on Thursday for defying a federal court order to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples following the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges in June. She was ordered detained for contempt of court and later rejected a proposal to allow her deputies to process same-sex marriage licenses that could have prompted her release. She has become the symbol of religious opposition to the heavy-handed tactics of the “gaystapo” who are ramming same-sex marriage through at the federal level across the nation in opposition of religious conservatives.

U.S. News and World Report noted, “In sending her to jail, U.S. District Judge David Bunning ignored the American Civil Liberties Union’s request that Davis be fined to compel compliance with orders that she issue marriage licenses. ACLU attorney Heather Weaver, who is working on the case, said there was testimony about fundraising efforts on Davis’ behalf, apparently a factor in the judge’s decision not to impose financial penalties.”

Davis will remain incarcerated until she agrees to resume issuing licenses, including those for same-sex marriage.

Supporters attempted to initiate a GoFundMe campaign for her defense, but were thwarted by the site’s Terms and Conditions, which were updated on April 29 to specify the site can choose not to allow “campaigns in defense of formal charges or claims of heinous crimes, violent, hateful, sexual or discriminatory acts.”

These terms were updated in response to the massive support behind the bakery Sweet Cakes By Melissa, which declined to bake a wedding cake for a lesbian couple and were slapped with a $135,000 fine. A GoFundMe fundraiser raised over $109,000 within a few hours in support of the family before being abruptly shut down, possibly in response to the complaints of a competing bakery.

GoFundMe has developed a reputation for punitively denying fundraising efforts for causes it deems contrary to its progressive agenda. As one website put it, “GoFundMe bans Christians from trying to help other Christians.”

In a statement regarding their decision to close the Sweet Cakes account, GoFundMe wrote: “After careful review by our team, we have found the ‘Support Sweet Cakes By Melissa’ campaign to be in violation of our Terms and Conditions. The money raised thus far will still be made available for withdrawal. While a different campaign was recently permitted for a pizzeria in Indiana, no laws were violated and the campaign remained live. However, the subjects of the ‘Support Sweet Cakes By Melissa’ campaign have been formally charged by local authorities and found to be in violation of Oregon state law concerning discriminatory acts. Accordingly, the campaign has been disabled.”

However, a fast search through GoFundMe confirms the fundraising site has many requests for financial assistance from those facing legal actions, including criminal convictions. These include criminal trespassing and obstructing official business; possession of psychedelics; and prescription forgery (convicted of a third degree felony).

Most disturbingly, there is a GoFundMe campaign for aggravated sexual assault on a child (resulting in a 99-year prison sentence).

On Saturday, hundreds of people rallied in Grayson in support of Davis.
