Megyn Kelly characterizes the Presidential selection process as “fun”, dismissing the millions of Americans that find it much more serious. We deserve better than Megyn Kelly. Below, please find a list of reasons we believe Megyn Kelly should be barred from all future debates:
- Megyn Kelly had a clear agenda: attack Donald Trump. Even if she “attacked equally”, we’re not looking for a hatchet-man; we’re looking for a moderator to thoroughly, and fairly, vet the Presidential candidates.
- With over 90 million Americans out of the labor force, they are more concerned with their future than whether or not someone engaged in name calling.
- She tenaciously covered (to the point of voyeuristic obsession) Mr. Trumps past rather than his vision for the future.
- Megyn Kelly’s feeling, however valid, should come second to the interest of our Nation.
- She focused on candidates personally, rather than politically.
- Megyn Kelly failed to cover many things more relevant to a Presidential candidate. For example, Marco Rubio’s gang of eight bill, Jeb Bush’s fascination with common core and feckless immigration policy, Rand Paul’s specific position on constitutional issues, Ted Cruz’s track record of telling the truth on everything he’s ever done, politically, Ben Carson’s honest, calm and collected “outsider” approach (mixed with his questionable second amendment stance), etc.
Ultimately, neither she nor Fox News lived up the “fair and balanced” standard: were it not for closing statements, the American people may have viewed an entire debate without understanding a single issue for which the candidates stand.
While her disdain for Mr. Trump was evident, this petition is a call for truly fair and balanced coverage of all candidates. Therefore, and as evidenced by her clear bias and poor performance, Megyn Kelly should be barred from hosting or moderating all future Republican Presidential debates.
In addition to the significant amount of signatures, here is what some people have to say, in particular:
- MARK LEVIN: FOX NEWS, MEGYN KELLY ‘HOSTED A NATIONAL ENQUIRER DEBATE, NOT A REPUBLICAN DEBATE—OWE AMERICAN PEOPLE AN APOLOGY’
- “This was more of an inquisition than it was a debate. It was a missed opportunity to talk about things that really mattered.” - Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)
- “I have done every step needed on this petition..it didn’t take long at all and I feel good I didn’t just sign, but followed through all steps. We the people can bring her down, but not if we don’t follow through and complete all steps. I have been a troll for the first time on fb I’ve gone to Megyn’s page and posted this on every post on her page, I’ve posted to trumps page, I posted on Hilary’s page, I have posted on right wing page, I’ve shared on my wall, and I posted on fox page! Do all the steps if you truly want this witch hunt to stop.” - Darla Germer
- “Megyn Kelly doesn’t want women treated like sex objects-ha! http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/786421” - Kimber Lee
- “megyn kelly and fox news is to blame… I have been a loyal follower of fox news for many years…. in one night they stooped as low as cnn.. fair and balanced… they owe donald trump and the public an apology” - Nicholas Sommerfield

[IMPORTANT UPDATE]: Did Roger Ailes just apologize?
Aug 10, 2026 — According to a tweet by Donald Trump (with information we are trying to verify), he and Roger Ailes talked by phone and it appears, by implication, Roger Ailes apologized.
“Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump 7m7 minutes ago
Roger Ailes just called. He is a great guy & assures me that “Trump” will be treated fairly on @FoxNews. His word is always good!
303 retweets579 favorites”
If you assure Donald Trump he will be treated “fairly” in the future, is that an admission that he was not treated fairly in the past? If so, how can Roger Ailes praise Megyn Kelly immediately after the debates and now apologize?
The answer: this petition and the onslaught of ridicule directed toward Fox News and Megyn Kelly through social media is a backlash they are taking seriously. And they want it to stop.
Here’s the problem, we’re not asking for an apology (not by Roger Ailes and not even by Megyn Kelly), we’re demanding that Megyn Kelly be removed from future debates. In fact, even if Megyn apologized, she would then be accused of lobbing softballs at Trump by his rival candidates and their supporters. She is tainted!
Therefore, this petition shall remain and continue to grow with your support and from those with whom you share it:

Megyn Kelly would suddenly appear to be the “Candy Crowley of FOX News”…….
A debate host should be impartial, and not allow personal prejudices to enter into the format. She crossed that line, and Trump crossed his.
“Fair and balanced”? It doesn’t seem to be.
Apologies are typically just empty words. Perhaps, in the future, hosts should be more carefully vetted, and candidates should be permitted to actually let potential voters know where they stand on the issues.
Isn’t supposed to be the purpose of it all?

Personally, I do not believe Trump crossed a line…they were purposely out to get him. Both the right and left want him destroyed. His best bet is to get back to talking to the American people about the issues. Megyn Kelly has little respect from American conservatives, and she did it to herself.

I wouldn’t have minded Sean Hannity handling the Debate,I’ve always found him to best live up to the “Fair and Balanced” claim of Fox;he seems to REALLY want to know what people think and believe regarding the questions asked, and he is,from what I’ve always seen, someone who would walk away from the Debates rather than ask the cornball personal attack questions Megyn asked (or was instructed to ask).

You know TJ, I think it’s really that both sides of the aisle have been told to kill Trump verbally. They want him destroyed. I can’t even listen to radio hosts because they’re mostly biased, and some of the callers are so danged stupid that it’s frustrating. I think if Mr. Trump just gets back on the bandwagon of telling the truth to the American people, he can win, if he isn’t “accidented” or “heart attacked” or whatever.

I agree completely with you. I just think it could have been more Fair and Balanced with Hannity at the wheel. I believe he would have played it like,”Either we do this RIGHT,or I’m out,and I’ll make sure people know WHY.”

If you watched his interview with Trump after the debate, it was very good, Steve posted it first, and then I used it in my article….he was extremely fair and kind to Trump.

And he seems to be that way in almost ALL his interviews, unless the person’s being a total “Hoser” to borrow a term from the Canadians…

True, media attention helps, and, in the case of Trump, even when attacked by the media, he wins. Ron Paul did not have positive coverage by the media, and he did not have that rare talent of strong verbal aggression held by DT. Regarding paragraph 6, the last sentence, “Ben Carson’s honest, calm and collected “outsider” approach (mixed with his questionable second amendment stance), etc.”… Please quickly add to the “etc.” his spoken desire to make vaccines mandatory for the American public. The good doctor Carson shared somewhat the better doctor’s calmness in presentation, but I don’t want Carson controlling our bodies, especially given the actions of the CDC, FDA, and Big Pharma, to say nothing of plans for massive depopulation.

I fully agree with you marble…the other things he has said are that he believes abortion is okay until the heartbeat can be heard at usually 12 weeks. I am totally against any abortions, conception creates a human and if you do an abortion, it MURDERS A HUMAN BABY.
Also, he’s gotten tight with none other than Al Sharpton. That certainly doesn’t thrill me. And he told Neil Cavuto that he doesn’t believe we need assault weapons…so nope, he’s not doing well in my book.
