Which way are we Headed? Choose One!

slavery

Unfortunately the reality is, we never have owned our property, the county or state owns it. Just try not paying your real estate taxes.

  1. Additionally, slavery has historically been a Capitalist exercise, treating humans AS property, negotiating price based on supply and demand forces, dealing with transport of the “goods” etc.

  2. CZ you are absolutely right. Why oh why isn’t this being yelled from the housetops? Also I know of no people group, over the course of human history, that has not at one time or another been in bondage to another people group.

  3. Plantation slaves…… indentured servants……impressed seamen……..divorced men paying alimony…….
Charlton Heston said, “Let my people go!”…… and they went.
(Actually, I believe slavery was started by Africans making a profit off selling their vanquished enemies to Arab traders, who then sold them to international slave traders (seems like I read somewhere that they were Dutch, but I could be mistaken).
Slavery was, and is, the very definition of ‘Evil’….. and it seems like the only slaves you ever hear about these days are the poor women in Africa and the Mideast who are kidnapped by muslims and used as sex slaves.
….. or forced into ‘arranged marriages’ at an early age.
Talk about a ‘War on Women’!
    By muslims!
And, the only muslims in American Politics seem to have a ‘D’ (for ‘Demented’, or ‘Demonic’, or just plain ‘Douche’…..) after their names.
Oh, the Irony! ………They run the Inner City Plantations, too!
    ……. right into the ground.

  4. I don’t know why there isn’t a reply on Invisible Mikey’s last post, but I would argue with him that everything good began with black people. Hate to say it, but white Europeans and Jewish folks are the ones with the most inventions which changed and helped civilization and societies. Israel seems to be the leader today especially in medical advancements. As for black folks, believe me, they’ve made their contributions as well, but I wouldn’t give you a plug nickel for the likes of Oprah Winfrey. I’ll go with Tom Sowell and Ben Carson as black folks I really admire. You can have free trade lover Walter Williams and Fed Reserve fellow, Herman Cain.
