ANTI-LEADERSHIP INSURGENCY COULD THREATEN MITCH MCCONNELL ALLY MARCO RUBIO

BY JULIA HAHN FOR BREITBART.COM

While Breitbart News has been reporting for months that John Boehner’s speakership was in jeopardy, the Washington media was stunned on Friday with the historic announcement of Boehner’s resignation.

The anti-leadership sentiment seems to be growing as the Washington Times is now reporting that a top Republican party official, Louisiana GOP Chairman Roger Villere, has called for Senate Majority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) resignation.

The populist, anti-establishment groundswell could spell trouble for the presidential campaign of donor-class darling Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL).

—who has twice fearlessly ignored voters and risked his political career to advance the goals of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

The populist backlash has been developing for quite some time. Earlier this year, Boehner received more votes against him than in any other speaker’s election since 1923. The revolt came shortly after the historic electoral defeat of Former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor—the first majority leader to lose his seat in a primary since the position was created in 1899.

Both Boehner and Cantor’s demise were closely tied to a blue-collar voter insurgency connected to trade and immigration—two issues where the Republican leadership has sided with its party’s donors over its base. Cantor, for instance, was largely taken downdue to his support for Marco Rubio’s plan to grant amnesty to illegal minors known as DREAMers.

Now that the Republican base has its sights set on Mitch McConnell, it could pose a serious problem for the campaign of Sen. Marco Rubio, whose two notable accomplishments are closely tied to Mitch McConnell’s agenda—namely co-authoring the Gang of Eight amnesty bill and casting the 60th and deciding vote for Obamatrade.

According to the Washington Post, it was Mitch McConnell who encouraged Rubio to join the Gang of Eight.

The senator from Florida [Rubio] was added to the group after Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) made clear to Graham and McCain that Rubio’s participation would be critical to winning conservative support… Graham and McCain initially attempted to recruit conservative Sen. Mike Lee, R-UT, but he declined to endorse a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants… [so] McConnell suggested Rubio, who expressed interest.

Indeed, countless reports have confirmed that it was Rubio’s job to launch a “charm offensive” that would sell conservatives on Obama’s immigration agenda.

As The New Yorker’s Ryan Lizza reported at the time, “[Sen. Bob] Menendez told me that Rubio’s role was to ‘work over the conservative universe, particularly the conservative opinion-maker universe,’ in order to ‘neutralize them’ and, in some cases, ‘proselytize them.’”

This process was aided and encouraged every step of the way by Mitch McConnell. McConnell created the very circumstances possible for Rubio to take on the role of“salesman” and to make innumerable misrepresentations about his immigration expansion bill—misrepresentations, which to this day, Rubio has never retracted.

Although the Republican base overwhelmingly opposed the policies in Rubio’s amnesty bill, Mitch McConnell refused to block the bill from coming up to a vote—a stark contrast from Sen. Harry Reid, who has blocked numerous bills that were Republican priorities, but were opposed by the Democrat voter base.

Although McConnell eventually cast his vote against the Gang of Eight bill, he did so only once it was clear that the bill would easily pass the Senate and after he had done everything that was necessary to ensure its smooth passage.

One of Republican voters’ many frustrations with its leadership is not only that GOP leadership fails to advance conservative priorities, but that they often times engage in elaborately staged Kabuki theatre to ensure that Republican donors’ agenda is enacted—even if it comes at the expense of the economic and physical security of everyday voters.

As Georgetown University professor Eric Gould has documented:

The overall evidence suggests that the manufacturing and immigration trends have hollowed-out the overall demand for middle-skilled workers in all sectors, while increasing the supply of workers in lower skilled jobs. Both phenomena are producing downward pressure on the relative wages of workers at the low end of the income distribution.

Indeed, as Breitbart News has exclusively reported, not one Republican leader in the House or Senate is willing to reduce immigration levels. Moreover, a Senate leadership internal messaging document exposed by Breitbart News failed to make any mention of immigration whatsoever. The leadership’s messaging memo instead encouraged Republican Senators to meet with business groups to tout the GOP’s support for Obama’s unpopular globalist trade pacts.

Obamatrade is one of Rubio’s signature accomplishments. Despite casting the 60th critical vote for the passage of the wage-depressing bill, Rubio has yet to provide any evidence that he read the bill prior to authoring an op-ed in support of it, delivering speeches in favor of it, and passing multiple votes to advance it.

While Democrat donors and leaders fight hard to pursue the priorities of their progressive base (such as mass immigration, expanding welfare, etc.), Republican donors and leaders frequently work against the interests of the Republican base.

Some worry that Republican leadership and the donor class seem to be actively working to minimize the social and economic power of the people voting for them—both by refusing to advance legislation supported by the base (such as legislation to stop sanctuary cities) and by pushing through legislation opposed by the base (such as the Rubio-Schumer bill and Obamatrade).

Perhaps the crux of the voters’ frustration with Republican leadership is the palpable anxiety amongst Republican voters that, with each passing year, their ability to control their own affairs, protect their communities, maintain their schools, and provide for their children, is eroding as the people donating to the Republican party grow wealthier and more powerful and promote their globalist agenda.

Only days before Boehner’s resignation announcement, Rubio seemed to defend John Boehner and Mitch McConnell—arguing that Republican voters were expecting too much when they sent their elected officials to Washington to represent them.

“Expectations were raised unnecessarily high,” Rubio said in an interview with Fox News host Bret Baier.

Rubio told Baier, “The idea that you would win the Senate, control the agenda never was true,” he said. “You need a president. It’s one of the main reasons why I decided to run for president.”

Indeed, even though Rubio was able to pass Republican leadership’s immigration agenda through the Senate, the bill went down in flames as a result of mass public opposition. From the Oval Office, Rubio would have a much greater vantage point to enact Mitch McConnell’s agenda and increase the admission of foreign workers, which Republican donors desperately want to lower wages and reduce their cost of labor.

Given the strong desire of Republican voters to remove Mitch McConnell, it remains to be seen whether the voters will be willing to give over control of the Republican party to the young presidential hopeful who has been one of the most ever faithful champions of the McConnell-Boehner agenda.

Rick Perry Gone, Dis-Invite of Trump

By Jim Sumpter

Rick Perry bows out; Good riddance

Rick Perry dropping out of contention for the GOP presidential nomination is both good news for the country and long overdue. Perry was a complete Bush-bot during W’s administration and was involved in all manner of surreptitious dealings that played a role in the influx of illegals who swarmed into our country during those years. He was a low-profile but big-time player in working to acquire land for the NAFTA Super Highway that so many thought was some kind of ‘kook’-oriented conspiracy theory, yet was absolutely part of Bush’s strategy that began the erasing of our border integrity. He was, in the end, just another go-along-to-get-along politician who really made no positive difference in the country. Good riddance.

Now, let the pretenders to constitutional eligibility - to wit, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and Bobby Jindal (we should always be wary of grown men who carry the ‘y’ suffix to their names - yes, even in the South) follow Mr. Perry’s lead and the Republican Party, and most especially, the country will be better for their absence. These men are political punks and phonies and it is only through the ignorance of the masses and the bought and compromised voices of talk radio championing their faux ‘conservatism’ that they’re hanging on.

They’re not constitutionally eligible and because of their promotion of their fraud, they’re hardly patriots - exactly the kind of candidates we don’t need.

Glad Mr. Perry did the right thing. Hope it’s followed by his simply fading from political view. He had the opportunity to make a difference, but instead was just one more phony in a well-tailored suit.

The ‘Dis-invitation’ of Donald Trump

Erick Erickson’s ‘disinvitation’ to Donald Trump during his allegedly (and most definitely not) Constitution-supporting Red State confab appears to bring to the forefront two aspects of Erick Erickson: (1) he’s a little weenie whiney wussie boy who caves for the establishment Republicans; and (2) he’s hardly a ‘conservative’ (whatever that is these days).

Did he feel an equal amount of outrage over the three people who are seeking the Republican nomination WHO AREN’T EVEN NATURAL BORN CITIZENS?

I understand that we’ve all gotta make a buck, but these dime store patriots wear thin. After some of the dumb social media postings of Mr. Erickson that were seriously critical of women, for him to jump on Trump is nothing more than playing to the establishment power base of the Republican Party, which puts him in good stead with Limbaugh, Beck, Levin, and Hannity - all of whom are too owned to be able to ask any questions of real accountability of the elected elite - but, of course, doing it while sanctimoniously touting their honesty, integrity, and high moral standing.

These guys all do nothing more than run to the end of their leashes and bark - but they never bite the hand (the establishment elites) that feeds them.

Disinvite Trump?

It would have been a much more effective demonstration of commitment on the part of Mr. Erickson to ‘disinvite’ (is that even a word?) every elected Republican - any one of whom is individually empowered to either stop Obama’s unconstitutional transformation of our country or orchestrating his removal from office - but instead choose to look the other way as they amble to the podium of faux conservative gatherings of the collected naive - orchestrated by phonies like Erick Erickson.

Obama Is Not the Problem

By Jim Sumpter

The act of overt treason on the part of the Republican members of the House of Representatives that is in the process of being forced upon ‘We the People’ is without precedent in the history of our country. Whether it passes or fails, the great sin is the RINOs who are so comfortable in selling out the principles they have been elected to represent.

Obamatrade is nothing short of handing complete dictatorial powers to a man who has given every indication of his commitment to the implosion of the USA - financially and foundationally – a man who has already assumed the position of a de facto dictator.

The problem is not Obama. The only people surprised by Obama’s actions are those who are either terminally stupid or perpetually and willfully ignorant.

The problem is the wussie boy Republicans who, in fact, are not adherents to Republican principles but rather claim the Republican appellation as a matter of convenience. Owned by special interests and/or compromised by personal corruptness, they are nothing more than useful idiots for the Obama Agenda - unable and unwilling to stand in defense of the Constitution they, by oath before God and ‘We the People’, swore to uphold and defend.

The biggest media voices continue to mislead their listeners and viewers by concealing their purposeful misdirection presented with just enough truths to make them palatable while refusing to bring accountability to the politicians they have access to.

It is imperative for patriots to recognize this absolute truth: The only reason anyone in the media has access to any member of the House or the Senate is because the elected elites know there will be no questions of accountability.

Big name hosts like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Glenn Beck, et al may rail about the ‘Republican weasels’ in DC, but fawn all over them on the air. No one, and I mean absolutely no one, will confront Ted Cruz, or Marco Rubio or Bobby Jindal (should he announce) about their ineligibility to be president because none of them are natural born citizens of the United States of America and every one of them do it with full knowledge of the law as it exists. If the question comes up at all, it’s gently finessed or played with using Saul Alinsky-type tactics of ridicule.

We have foolishly created a political class dedicated not to upholding and defending the Constitution but, rather, to doing the bidding of those who fund their elections and lifestyles.

I frequently am asked, “What can we do to stop this?”

There’s a more powerful question that must be addressed by the electorate in order for the nation to be preserved as a Constitutionally-based representative republic and it is this: Do you have the courage to seek and speak the truth with a commitment equal to the determination our ruling class has in order to stop them?

We must demand immediate deportation of anyone who is in the country illegally. This social re-engineering of our demographics is the ultimate, fastest, and least-resistant path to the dumbing down of the electorate and solidifying the control the ruling elites have captured of almost every aspect of our lives. The swarm of illegal aliens creates a new class of ‘takers’ – those who are willing to be virtual wards of the state - waiting for their instructions from the elites as to what they should believe, how they should behave, and for whom they should vote.

We must demand immediate impeachment of any elected official who will not support the enforcement of the law - starting with the double-talking RINOs who capitulate to the wishes of sell-out Republican leadership and all the others who march in near lock step with Obama. Obama should have been impeached long ago. I hear chatter that “…we can’t impeach the first black president.” Obama’s anti-American approach to governance has nothing to do with his race and everything to do with his ideology. Obama hasn’t been impeached for the same reason Clinton wasn’t removed from office - the Senate is too corrupt to cast a vote of honorable conscience. Impeach the most offensive RINOs in the House and then never, ever, ever again vote for an incumbent - regardless of party, promises made, or a misguided sense that “my guy’s a good guy.” The elites will quickly get the message if ‘We the People’ put them on notice that “We are term limits”.

There’s more to be done, but “Gee whiz, Wally, wouldn’t this be a great start?”

Of course, there is a third option: Buy into Obama and his trons’ approach to governance, and blissfully believe that everything’s gonna be fine.

The enormous amount of change that Obama and his Republican co-conspirators have forced upon our country and all of it against the will of the majority of the people is about to reach critical mass as it all transitions from dormant law to ever-encroaching implementation by force.

The end result of Obama’s success is the end of government of, for, and by the people to the new approach to governance that is of, by, and to the benefit of the elected and appointed elite and the hyper-monied evil-doers who financed and orchestrated all of this.

But even this grand conspiracy - that is almost complete – still needs the stamp of approval of ‘We the People’ that only our apathy can provide.
