On the left is the selfie Christopher Mercer uploaded to his social media. On the right is how CNN presented the same selfie in broadcast stories about him. Why did CNN need to change the complexion (color) of their broadcast? Why is no-one showing pictures of mom, Laurel Margaret Harper.
Why change to hyphenated name? Real name is Christopher Sean Mercer. Media using Christopher Harper-Mercer and Chris Harper-Mercer.

I’m not an expert, but having a black parent does not guarantee dark skin.
So with all the BS flying around I just asking for some verification of which is the real photo and which one was altered. They admit one of them was messed with and are blaming CNN.
It really doesn’t matter either way unless they want to use race as some basis for a legal maneuver to conceal the truth and confiscate our guns.
Like he was black so it was really his heritage of oppression that actually did the shooting. Or he was white, so he was a right winger out to kill everyone.
Or he was a nut with a sheet that no one cared to address.
Except for Baltimore and Chicago they characterize any use of a gun, either in a crime or in self defense under the single heading gun ‘violence’.

My apologies MTP, I thought you were kidding. Actually you are correct. During the 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s A fair skinned person of mixed black and white parentage would “Pass” for white in order to have a better chance for employment and generally a better life. (That is probably still true today,)
Generally, a child born to a colored parent (Black, Hispanic, African, Mulatto etc. and a Caucasian, Nordic, Germanic etc. parent) is much more likely to be dark skinned because of the stronger genetic predisposition of the dark shinned races vs. the light skinned.. A walk through most American Wal-Marts will confirm the truth of this.
Christopher Mercer had several social network pages as well as an online dating profile which were removed within minutes of the shooting but all showed a dark skinned young man.
