Lack of Transparency Undermines Accuracy of Iowa Caucus

JBS CEO Art Thompson and JBS Director of Communications Bill Hahn’s weekly news video update for Feb. 8 – 14, 2016.
In this week’s Analysis Behind the News video, JBS CEO Art Thompson discusses the lack of transparency at the Iowa Caucus and how the results on both the Republican and Democratic sides cannot be fully trusted. JBS Director of Communications Bill Hahn addresses the political theater seen in Congress relative to House Speaker Paul Ryan blaming a “progressive president” for the debt crisis while ignoring Congress’ constitutional authority over spending and its failure to repeal Obamacare. Mr. Hahn further addresses the recent signing of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) in New Zealand and Utah’s plan to reclaim federally-controlled land within its state.

Conspiracy Against God and Man

Here is John F. McManus, President of the John Birch Society.  He is a personal friend and one who has fought against the onslaught of the NWO and communism in America for over 50 years.  Please take the time to listen to this fabulous speech.

Conservatism: When the Rhetoric Doesn’t Match the Record

My comments:  I know Jack McManus personally and have found him to be the most upstanding gentleman who is fighting to save our country.  His book, WILLIAM F. BUCKLEY, PIED PIPER FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT is probably one of the finest books I’ve ever read explaining what happened to old right Christian Constitutional Conservatives.  Buckley and men like Irving Kristol, Bill Kristol’s father, are responsible for destroying true Constitutionalists.  It is why we see the Republicans of today doing nothing to save the Republic.  I would greatly suggest buying this very important referenced and documented book, as well as buying several extra copies to give as Christmas gifts.  This is a superb read, and you will finally understand what has happened and why the Republicans of today are really Trotskyites.  Forget calling them RINOs, that’s too nice, they truly are Trotskyites.

Conservatism: When the Rhetoric Doesn’t Match the Record
adapted from the “William F. Buckley, Jr., Pied Piper for the Establishment” book by JBS President John F. McManus

When William F. Buckley, Jr., came onto the scene in the 1950s, the word “conservatism” could have been equated with “Americanism.” Conservatives wanted to preserve those institutions and principles that made America great and good. They cherished both the U.S. Constitution and traditional morality. They wanted government to protect them from evil-doers but not regulate their lives or provide them with handouts.

But over the past half century, the word “conservatism” has lost its former meaning. These days mainstream conservatives want to interject the U.S. government into everything from massively funding the nation’s schools to policing the world. And many conservatives support them.

What happened is that most conservatives were led astray. They were deceived, not by overt liberalism, but by counterfeit conservatism. And the liberal Establishment’s principal pied piper — who hit just enough of the right notes to captivate conservatives — was William F. Buckley.

The book, “William F. Buckley, Jr.: Pied Piper for the Establishment” examines the following details of Buckley’s life:

  • connections to the Council on Foreign Relations, the CIA, and Yale’s Skull & Bones
  • selection of ex-Communists, Trotskyites, and CIA veterans to staff National Review
  • failed attempt to destroy The John Birch Society
  • promotion of liberal causes, including abortion, drugs, homosexuality, and pornography.

Buckley set the stage for younger pied pipers who would lead unwitting conservatives even further astray. But by understanding how Buckley fooled at least two generations, today’s conservatives should be all the wiser. Not only should they learn from the past to avoid being fooled again, but they should begin the process of undoing the damage already done. This book provides vital information on both scores. Purchase today to learn more of the foundations of the neo-conservative movement!

If the record doesn’t match the rhetoric, or if the meaning of words need to evolve to match the actions of today’s conservatives, then a critical eye must be cast to those leaders and to their intent.

How Trump’s Attack on McCain Didn’t Go Far Enough

A Republic, If You Can Keep It

“Satan is the great deceiver; we know that, but this means that self-proclaimed satanists, occultists, Wiccans, etc. are his weakest soldiers! They are and always will be part of the subculture. Most people look at them, recognize them and look away. Satan’s most effective warriors are in the mainstream: Misguided, apathetic Joe and Jane Schmo’s who work in the office next to yours. They live “normal” lives. But their minds are deceived and their lives are permeated by subtle, socially acceptable, ungodly attitudes. Such “innocent satanists” have the greatest influence in our world. Is it possible that some of satan’s strongest influence comes even through members of Christ’s church?” —Jeffrey Bryant

H. L. Mencken (born 1880 – died 1956) was a journalist, satirist, critic, and Democrat. He wrote this editorial while working for the Baltimore Evening Sun, which appeared in the July 26, 1920, edition: “As democracy is perfected, the office of the President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and complete narcissistic moron.” —H. L. Mencken, The Baltimore Evening Sun, July 26, 1920

Ben Franklin was right when he stated, “We’ve given you a Republic, if you can keep it.” We haven’t kept it, and the total destruction is almost complete. Every day our state and federal governments pass more egregious and abusive laws negating our God given freedoms and the Bill of Rights. The speed at which our Constitution is being destroyed is impossible to keep up with, much less trying to urge fellow citizens to stand up against this travesty.

In an email I received recently, someone mentioned that we must educate the American people. What do they think the old-right conservatives have been doing for the last 100 years? Personally, I don’t believe the majority of today’s American citizens give a damn about what the local, state, or federal government is doing. Why? Because the majority of them don’t have a clue of what our God given and Constitutionally guaranteed rights are, much less the ones we’ve already lost.

Tea Parties have acted stupidly and incorporated with 501(c)3’s and 4’s, thus negating their original intent and effectiveness, and willingly accepting government chains. From before their formation, the change agents were waiting to infiltrate and neutralize, and only a few have remained true to their cause. For more information, read my four part article, The Tea Parties.

Churches are so frightened of being involved with anything political which might jeopardize their own 501(c)3 tax exemption, that the pulpits are weak kneed, lily livered, pusillanimous cowards. None of them could possibly come close to the political sermons of the American founding era, much less preach sound Biblical doctrine. Is it any wonder we’re in the mess we’re in when the last best defense against the armies of darkness, – the church – is silent?

One of the local Tea Party leaders recently spoke to a group about his Tea Party being targeted for an audit by the IRS. First I must ask, why would a group of people, who know the government is corrupt, file for federal tax exempt status from that very government? There are restrictions as well as controls, and for a small group of people who gather together twice monthly, this plays right into the hands of the out-of-control government. This leader said he’s on his knees praying all the time, but it doesn’t do any good. I can tell him, and the rest of the Tea Parties why! They refuse to discuss social issues. The media keeps asking these group leaders about their position on the most basic human right of all — LIFE! The response? “Abortion is not my agenda!”

Well just what is the TP agenda anyway? The number one topic today is UN Agenda 21, which truly encompasses all of the other topics, including LIFE. The top UN A21 goal is population reduction, and we all know the Obama administration has plans to push Americans out of the suburbs and into the big cities. [Link]

Rosa Koire, Michael Shaw, and the John Birch Society have all been educating America’s citizens via the Tea Parties and other groups. Yet, we still cannot seem to awaken the masses to attend and disrupt the smart growth forums, or go to the county commission, and city council meetings to stay the onslaught of the planners in destroying our way of life.

The local TP believes they’ll win by fighting the out-of-control spending, saying, “We must cut off the head of the snake.” Yet, in 2010, Tennessee elected Bill Haslam as Governor, another phony neo-conservative. One of the first items on Haslam’s agenda was to promote the Internet Sales Tax. The local TP wouldn’t even let me speak to the subject. [Link]

Most of the small business people thought that making internet sites collect sales taxes would help their businesses. This is how foolish today’s electorate is, buying into this false “fairness” tax. Rather than demanding the county and state drop the taxes on small businesses, as well as the never ending fees for permits, these people believe taxing the entire nation will level the playing field. Instead, the small businesses like mine, and thousands of others, especially on internet, will be forced out-of-business. The people will have fewer choices in where to shop, unemployment will rise, and the small stores who carried specialty items will be gone.

The large-box stores are all for this tax! Why? Because it eliminates competition! There will be fewer internet stores to choose from, and the big-box stores will still sell items at lower prices than our local businesses. Once again, the tax and spend politicians have fooled the stupid, dumbed down, electorate who listen to the talking heads! Harold Black, professor emeritus of finance at the University of Tennessee explained the lies of this tax perfectly. You might also want to check his blog spot.

As for educating the masses, if the people don’t know by now they never will. It’s too late in the game to believe we have time to educate on all of it. There are good people who could run for office, but they lack money. The active citizens would rather spend their money driving to DC to a useless flag waving rally, spending their money at hotels and restaurants, rather than taking those funds and putting them behind good men and women running for office. How many have gotten involved enough to be precinct captains to watch the voting process where they could possibly stop fraud? Stupid is as stupid does. Watching Dancing With The Stars and sports is more important.

I’ve poured tons of money into good candidates. Occasionally one of these candidates will win, but more often, they lose because the so-called conservatives will not open their pocketbooks and do without something in order to help save our Republic. We are lazy and lost, and most are too apathetic to care. They don’t even realize that we are at the precipice of destruction.

Remember all the right wing groups who got together and formed the Council for National Policy (CNP) in 1981? They said they formed it to fight the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), but their first membership roster contained five CFR members on their board. They have snuggled with the enemy for decades. The CNP still has CFR members, pro-Islamic members, Dominionist/Reconstructionists, many who took money from cultist Sun Myung Moon, pro-second amendment groups, ones who promised to stop abortion, and those who promised to squelch the homosexual agenda. So they sent fund raising letters to the grassroots folks telling us they’d fight the battles for us. People believed them and sent in their money.

Here is an example of the tactics used by two of the CNP charter members supposedly fighting for second amendment rights. In the article, “The Merchant of Fear,” by Jim Halpin and Paul de Armond, from 1994 and 1995, they stated,

“Nearly everybody gets direct-response mail, letters from charities, political campaigns, and all sorts of other causes, asking the recipient to mail back a donation. Often they appeal to one’s charitable instincts or sense of civic responsibility. This is not the tack that Alan Gottlieb takes. “The letters he composes,” says Outside magazine, “are not long on subtlety or literary polish, but they are extremely adept at pinpointing the recipients’ deepest anxieties and eliciting floods of righteous indignation.”

Gottlieb does not disagree. In Trashing the Economy, the 1993 book he and his co-author, Center for the Defense of Free Enterprise (CDFE) Vice President, Ron Arnold, write with startling frankness that:

“The message of the direct mail letter must appeal to three base emotions; Fear, Hate and Revenge..”

“[The] fund raising mailer must present you with a crisis — a problem won’t do…That crisis must frighten you…If you are not frightened, you won’t send money..”

“Then the direct mail letter must present you with a bogeyman against whom to focus your anger..”

“Once you’ve been frightened and made to hate the bogeyman, the successful direct mail appeal must offer you a way to get revenge against the bogeyman — the payoff for your contribution. The more soul-satisfying the revenge, the better the letter pulls.”

“All this must be dressed up in an appeal that appears to have a high moral tone, but which — without you realizing it — works on your lower emotions.”

Over these many years, all these groups have become quite adept at soliciting funds from the grassroots Americans. They have feathered their nests quite lavishly from the donations of people who cared about their country and the direction we were headed. Now, everything they claimed they were fighting has gotten progressively worse. In 2005, Kelo vs. The City of New London supreme court decision forever changed the Constitutional definition of eminent domain. The Supremes latest “opinion” states, “federal law against gay marriage is unconstitutional,” and the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) is eliminated. We see horrible life-snuffing, baby murdering, physicians like Kermit Gosnell, who murdered babies born alive after his late term abortions. We see numerous false flags perpetrated to eliminate the very teeth of our God given right to defend ourselves. What has the phony rightwing Council for National Policy stopped?

People could educate themselves, but few will even watch a video for more than eight minutes, and hardly anyone reads anymore. Sound bites are what they listen to, all put out by the MSM. There are TP leaders who have called me for information, and I’ve sent them everything I could, but they never read one word…why? Because we are now in the 3rd generation of the deliberately dumbed down and most cannot read well, others are too lazy. It’s a sad state of affairs, but it’s all true.

I pray the small band of old-right conservatives can make a difference, but I really have my doubts. I’ve worked since I was 16 trying to save my beloved country. I’m tired, and I never see youth at any meetings, whether it be commission or city council, or speakers at gatherings which we need to hear. It’s only those over 50, for the most part. Think how easily it will be for the evil ones once Obamacare rids the world of those of us who remember true freedom. It breaks my heart! Even though I’ll never give up fighting for righteousness, and having done ALL, will STAND, I’m weary…and I don’t see many others picking up the torch.

God’s hand is no longer on America. And why should it be? We murder our most innocent in their mother’s wombs, and we murder our elderly by starvation/dehydration and pain cocktails that put them in a death coma. We’ve kicked our wonderful God out of everything in America, especially our government schools…

but it’s okay for a Texas teacher to force the children to dress in Islamic costumes for an entire day and pray to Allah. [Link]
It’s okay for full body cavity searches by police on Texas highways. [Link]
It’s okay to draw blood from suspected Tennessee drunk drivers. [Link]
And, in case you missed it, the Supreme Court also made a ruling on lawsuits against drug companies for fraud, mislabeling, side effects and accidental death. From now on, 80 percent of all drugs are exempt from legal liability. [Link]

It’s time for those of us who have been fighting for decades, to get down on our knees, repent for our nation, and plead for God’s mercy. We are now a communist nation led by a Marxist Muslim dictator who has nearly completed his American “hope and change.”

If we don’t soon rise up as a nation, we’ll be groveling in the dirt to the masters. Dear God, help us!

Jade Helm Death Squads – Stop them dead in their tracks!

by Roger Fredinburg

You have the power to Kill Jade Helm and any other idiotic anti-American unconstitutional garbage they throw at you any time you want.
Americans have been duped into thinking that Political activism or public protests are the answer – Not true!
Call all of the radio talk shows you want – Nothing will ever change! As National talk host for over 20 years, I can tell you from experience that we can clamor for change all we want. They are deaf to our agitating and on air rage and they could care less what we think. That’s only because they don’t fear you, as they should.
The only way to make them properly fear you and the best way to defeat them is by beating their @$$e$ in court!
Forget Lawyers! Getting a good lawyer, and being able to afford the cost has always been an impediment for the average American – No More!
Imagine if local Government officials were served with hundreds of lawsuits in a single day, targeting them personally for things like dereliction of duty, Professional negligence, accepting payment under false pretenses, Breach of Contract, Abuse of Public Authority, Civil mail fraud etc. They would FREAK!
The Plaintiffs might as an example – Demand that they immediately cancel an upcoming Unconstitutional activity – Like Jade Helm maybe?
If they refuse, let them have fun answering hundreds of lawsuits and properly filed complaints that are written correctly and designed to actually win in court.
They would most likely choose the wise path, end the actions and get on their knees to beg those hundreds of litigants to drop their collective lawsuits. I am fairly certain they would retreat vow to never screw the people again. I can think of dozens of topics we could use this for to stop these insidious power drunk public servants in their tracks – can’t you?
If you want your FREEDOM BACK – I recommend you carefully review this website: www.HowToWinInCourt.com/Win/Power
I am sure you will find a way to spread the word and help me take our country back! Thanks!

Interview: John Birch Society’s Art Thompson Speaks on the Dangers of Con Con

Violent Partisans Will Destroy the Constitution

“All men having power ought to be distrusted to a certain degree.” – Speech at the Constitutional Convention, July 11, 1787 James Madison

I know no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of Constitutional power.” Thomas Jefferson

“I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.” ― James Madison

The words in the title of this article are not mine. They belong to the father of our Constitution, James Madison. Madison wrote a letter to G.I. Turberville when he was asked how he felt if another General Convention should be called. Here is what he wrote:

“You wish to know my sentiments on the project of (an Article V) Convention as suggested by New York. I shall give them to you with great frankness. If a General Convention were to take place for the avowed and sole purpose of revising the Constitution, it would naturally consider itself as having a greater latitude than the Congress appointed to administer and support as well as to amend the system; it would consequently give greater agitation to the public mind; an election into it would be courted by the most violent partizans [sic] on both sides; it would probably consist of the most heterogeneous characters; would be the very focus of that flame which has already too much heated men of all parties; would no doubt contain individuals of insidious views, who under the mask of seeking alterations popular in some parts but inadmissible in other parts of the Union might have a dangerous opportunity of sapping the very foundations of the fabric.”

“Under all these circumstances it seems scarcely to be presumable that the deliberations of the body could be conducted in harmony, or terminate in the general good. Having witnessed the difficulties and dangers experienced by the first Convention which assembled under every propitious circumstance, I should tremble for the result of a Second, meeting in the present temper of America, and under all the disadvantages I have mentioned.”

This letter was written November 2, 1788, only one year after the original Constitutional Convention, and Madison was worried about the violent partizans, the heterogeneous characters, and the individuals of insidious views. His urgent warning is even more important today, 226 years later. I cannot think of one single politician or personage in any of the 50 states who could come close to matching the statesmanship of the founders who were delegates at our 1787 Constitutional Convention.

The letter to Turberville is so profound that the con-con promoters often deny that Madison was referring to an Article V convention. However, the John Birch Society did the research and found that absolutely, Madison knew New York was suggesting the convening of an Article V convention. Virginia applied to the new federal Congress for an Article V convention on November 14, 1788. New York followed suit on February 5, 1789. (JBS Bulletin, January 2014).

Previous Battles

In the late 1970s and early 1980s, we fought a call for a con-con via a Balanced Budget Amendment (the same thing they’re using today), and we educated the people enough that 10 of the states who put out a call for a con-con, recalled that call. It was very close. The enemy succeeded in getting 32 of the necessary 34 states to call for a convention. With God’s help and the hard work of many patriots across the country, we succeeded in saving our Constitution. That was more than 30 years ago, and our electorate was far more educated then than it is today.

Unfortunately, today our fellow citizens listen to the neo-con talking heads like Michael Levin, Tom Coburn, Michael Farris, Lou Marin, The Goldwater Institute, Mark Meckler – formerly of Tea Party Patriots, American Legislative Exchange Council, Judge Roy Moore (who thinks he’ll get an amendment ban on gay marriage with a con-con), David Barton, Glenn Beck, Occupy Wall Street, talk show host Neal Boortz, former presidential candidate Herman Cain, (both Boortz and Cain are Fair Tax promoters which calls for a con-con to get rid of the 16th amendment although we didn’t need a con-con to get rid of the 18th amendment). Not one of these people are old-right conservatives. We must ask, who is funding the new push for a con-con?

The Money Behind Article V

There is no telling what some of the delegates will bring to the table no matter what “commission” they have instructing them (see Move to Amend below). One thing is certain, the LEFT, the progressives, the socialists, the Internationalists, the hardcore communists in our country, won’t sit on the sidelines of such a Convention. They’ll be in the convention and lobbying for their communist agenda.

There are hundreds and hundreds of Left-leaning organizations that want the Article V Convention so they can get “their man” in as a delegate to urge their amendments and Constitutional changes upon the deliberations of the Convention. These organizations have organized into a coalition called “Move to Amend.” Here’s the list of their member organizations. It would shock most conservatives to know who pays the bills at the online purveyor of progressive ideology. In fact, George Soros funds nearly every major left-wing media source in the US. Forty-five of those are financed through his support of the Media Consortium. Yes, the financier of global fascism is pumping millions of dollars into the same Article V campaign that is being promoted by Levin, Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Farris, Meckler, Barton, Nick Dranias of the Goldwater Inst., and the rest of the neo-con Trotskyite right. One would think this would be enough alone to convince all true Constitutional conservatives and friends of freedom and liberty to run headlong away from the ranks of the Article V con-con army, regardless of how popular their purveyors may be. Link

If Soros and the left want it, why would any conservative back this? Are they duped? Or, as suspected, are they part of the agenda as they were in the early 80s when we fought this?

Precedents and Legal Conclusions

Legal experts have long concluded that if a convention is ever called under Article V of the Constitution, it would have the power to propose anything it wanted — a rewrite of the Bill of Rights, the abolition of the Supreme Court — anything. I’ve written about this extensively (Link) as has Publius Huldah,  John Birch Society, Phyllis Schlafly of Eagle Forum and others.

Under that never-used Article V, a convention would be mandatory upon the call of at least two-thirds (34) of the states. Pushed by tea-party groups and the so-called conservative American Legislative Exchange Council, as well as all the above listed right and left organization, similar resolutions are moving or have already passed in Virginia, Wisconsin, Indiana, Alabama and a number of other states

We don’t see any George Washington’s or James Madison’s today, and we don’t want to put our fate in the hands of men who think they can improve on the work of either of these men or the other delegates at the 1787 Convention.

Stanford Law School Professor Gerald Gunther also wrote “The fear that a Constitutional convention could become a ‘runaway’ convention and propose wholesale changes in our Constitution is by no means unfounded. Rather, this broad view of the authority of a convention reflects the consensus of most constitutional scholars who have commented on the issue.” As well, Professor Gunther, whose case-book is used in the majority of U.S. law schools, said that, “even if Congress tried to limit the Convention to one subject, the delegates could decide for themselves that the Convention “is entitled to set its own agenda.”

Chief Justice Warren Burger, wrote: “I have been asked questions about this topic many times during my news conferences and at college meetings since I became Chairman of the Commission on the Bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution, and I have repeatedly replied that such a convention would be a grand waste of time. I have also repeatedly given my opinion that there is no effective way to limit or muzzle the actions of a Constitutional Convention. The Convention could make its own rules and set its own agenda. After a Convention is convened, it will be too late to stop the Convention if we don’t like its agenda. With George Washington as chairman, the [original constitutional convention] deliberated in total secrecy, with no press coverage and no leaks. A Constitutional Convention today would be a free-for-all for special interest groups, television coverage, and press speculation.”

We have far too many uneducated fools in our electorate today…and this, as the elite have planned, will be our downfall if we allow the left and the neo-con right to succeed in pushing a Balanced Budget Amendment, Article V, or Convention of States, etc.

The fact is, under the vague language of Article V, a Constitutional Convention cannot be limited. It would be wide open, and able to consider ANY change in the Constitution that was proposed, even eliminating everything after “We The People.”

This means that, even if supporters of a “Con-Con” claim that the convention would only cover one issue — whether it’s a Balanced Budget Amendment or removing the requirement that to be eligible to serve as President, one must be a “natural born citizen,” or anything else — there is NO WAY to stop the Convention from changing EVERYTHING that we hold dear in America!

Use Common Sense!

Forget all the pro- con-con scholars and talking heads you’ve heard and read!

  1. If the Congress and administration won’t obey the Constitution we have now, how will changing or adding amendments make them obey it?   Answer: It won’t. That is not the hidden purpose of a new Constitutional convention.
  2. Who is worthy of being a delegate in this whole United States? True old right Constitutional conservatives and scholars will never have a chance.
  3. If George Soros and his cadre of leftists want a con-con and are funding it, why in heaven’s name would the right go along with it?

Waiting in the Wings

It was the Ford Foundation, in 1964, who funded and orchestrated the drafting of a new constitution for America. This was done via the tax-exempt Center for the Study of Democratic Institutions, an offshoot of “The Fund for the Republic, Inc., which had been established with a $15 million grant from the Ford Foundation.

This model constitution, drawing upon the efforts of more than 100 people, took ten years to write. The 40th draft was the one published in Rexford G. Tugwell’s book, “The Emerging Constitution.” The project cost $2.5 million per year, or a total of $25 million, and produced the Proposed Constitution for the NewStates of America. Tugwell was for Regional Governance. This is Communism in all its vicious and rotten glory.

After the completion of the proposed NewStates Constitution (1974), Nelson Rockefeller, then president of the U.S. Senate, engineered the introduction of HCR 28 calling for an unlimited Constitutional Convention (Con-Con) in 1976. Public opposition defeated this effort so the convention backers then went to the states promoting a “limited convention” for the ostensible purpose of adding a balanced budget amendment.

There is nothing new today. The same old premise is being used. Unfortunately, the con artists have become quite slick and the legislators no longer read history. Once the Constitution is opened, all other battles, big and small, will be useless. The great experiment of a Republic (if we can keep it) will be over.

There are no quick fixes to the problem of adhering to the Constitution. It must be through an educated electorate that forces Congress to follow the Constitution. It’s not a quick fix, but it is the long term solution for returning to limited government and individual prosperity. We can only win if soldiers join the battle and we pray continually.

May God have mercy on those of us who love liberty and freedom.
