Fake News in a Nutshell

By Jim O’Neill
Sources tell me rumors are circulating in Washington DC that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is involved in a heated menage a trois with Russian President Vladimir Putin and an anonymous transgender midget…sorry, little person.  They were purportedly videotaped romping on a pee-pee sodden bed in one of Moscow’s fancier hotels.
If true, these sordid, and sodden, allegations could well lead to impeachment proceedings for Speaker Pelosi, my sources say.  I have been tipped off that such news will be a huge bombshell if proven to be true.  For the sake of America, one hopes this is all just hearsay.
Jim O’Neill “Fake News in a Nutshell”
The above quote is, of course, fake news.  Welcome to “Trump World,” where the most ridiculous, unsubstantiated, nonsensical crapola is treated as holy writ by our duplicitous, dishonest media.  Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
Once upon a time, journalism used to be a real profession, a respected profession, if you can believe it.  Now days, not so much — globalist anti-Trump propaganda rules.
All decent propaganda has an element of truth in it, but these days the media doesn’t even bother to put out good propaganda – it is often bogus garbage start to finish.  Our “news” outlets simply don’t care if what they report is based on the truth or not.  As long as it is anti-Trump it leads.
There are exceptions of course.  There is alternate internet media, radio, and (to give credit where it’s due) the lone TV outlier of “Fox News.”  While admittedly less than perfect, “Fox News” does sporadically serve as a unique platform for conservative (as opposed to RINO) opinions.  And God bless them for it.
Fake news is synonymous with propaganda.  Propaganda runs the gamut from mostly true to mostly, or totally, false.  It may be “good” propaganda with some element(s) of truth in it, or, as is more and more often the case, it may be “bad” propaganda totally devoid of truth.  Unnamed sources, unverified “facts,” and dubious, outlandish conclusions are all telltale signs of fake news.  Circular “proof” is another tell.
That is how the infamous anti-Trump “pee-pee dossier” got off the ground.  It was leaked to an internet blog, and then the fact that it had been published online was used as “proof” that it must be true.  Circular fake news – it has been published, therefore it has legitimacy and is worthy of being published.
We’ve learned NEW information suggesting our suspicions are true: FBI/DOJ have previously leaked info to the press, and then used those same press stories as a separate source to justify FISA’s.
Ian Schwartz “Meadows: ‘Hard Evidence’ FBI Leaked Info To Press, Used Same Stories To Obtain FISA Warrants”
Observant readers will have noted that I used the same circular self-referring trick with my opening quote.  “OMG it must be true, he quoted from a published source!”  Never mind that the “published source” is me.

The Public Pillorying of Brett Kavanaugh

By Jim O’Neill

Pilloring verb: to expose to public derision, ridicule, or abuse
Let us get something straight right up front – the real victim in the Congressional debacle of Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination process is…Brett Kavanaugh himself.
To watch the sterling reputation of this exemplar of honor and integrity get his name dragged through the mud and muck by idiotic, vile swamp creatures, disgusts and infuriates me no end.
Sen. Mazie Hirono (HI-D) has told men to “Shut up, and step up!”  Well, she got that last part right – the male Republicans in Congress do indeed need to grow a pair and step up.  Step up and slap down the vapid, vicious, venomous cruelty of their Democrat “colleagues.”  Enough is enough – and we are way past the point of it being enough.
Can there be anyone with half an un-brainwashed brain who does not see the Democrat theatrics for the despicable delaying tactic that they are?  Does anyone doubt that more liberal activists will be dragged out from whatever rock they are under as the need arises?  “Oh, oh, I was groped by Judge Kavanaugh too!  It was during…uh, kindergarten, yeah that’s right, kindergarten.”
“Sounds credible, oh so credible, incredibly credible to me – string him up!”  Oh, puhleeze.
“Guilty until proven innocent” is the newest Democrat bulls—t.  These people are mentally unstable, shameless, vicious, and immoral.  Yet they call We the People “irredeemably deplorable virulent dregs of society” – a textbook case of projection if there ever was one.
The sleazy Democrats and their media mouthpieces are currently whipping up their madding crowd of gullible, clueless, zombie followers into a mindless, frenzied attack on a man who is by all accounts an uncommonly intelligent, compassionate, good and decent individual.  If they can destroy Brett Kavanaugh’s reputation then they can destroy anyone’s.  Such a cruel travesty of justice must not be allowed to happen.

Mainstream Mag Pushes ‘Porn Literacy’ Among Children

Mainstream Mag Pushes ‘Porn Literacy’ Among Children

A mainstream news magazine has published a filthy article promoting the use of pornography among children.

“As pornography is ever more accessible – yes, your kids are watching it – Friends’ Central teacher Al Vernacchio’s revolutionary approach to sex education is exactly what the sexologist ordered,” says the sub-headline of the article written by Claire Sasko and published in Philadelphia Magazine.
Vernacchio’s sick “revolutionary” approach makes pizza a metaphor for sexual activity for the purpose of making sex easy for children to understand.
In an interview with the New York TimesVernachhio detailed his approach.
Trending: SOURCES: Trey Gowdy Blocked Investigation Into The FBI
“[W]ouldn’t it be great if our sexual activity started with a real sense of wanting, whether your desire is for intimacy, pleasure or orgasms… And you can be hungry for pizza and still decide, no thanks, I’m dieting. It’s not the healthiest thing for me now,” he said.
Remember, Vernacchio is a sex-ed teacher – his audience is children.
“If you’re gonna have pizza with someone else, what do you have to do?” he continued. “You gotta talk about what you want. Even if you’re going to have the same pizza you always have, you say, ‘We getting the usual?’ Just a check-in. And square, round, thick, thin, stuffed crust, pepperoni, stromboli, pineapple — none of those are wrong; variety in the pizza model doesn’t come with judgment.”
Vernacchio was invited to give a TED Talk on the topic, which is quite explicit.

“There are a million different kinds of pizza,” he said in the speech. “There’s a million different toppings. There are a million different ways to eat pizza. And none of them are wrong, they’re different.”
“So what if we could take this pizza model and overlay it on top of sexual education?” he said. “If we could create sexuality education that was more like pizza, we could create education that invites people to think about their own desires, to make deliberate decisions about what they want, to talk about it with their partners, and to ultimately look not for some external outcome, but for what feels satisfying.”

Michael Savage predicted 'violence' by 'marginals' day before attack

Michael Savage predicted ‘violence’ by ‘marginals’ day before attack

‘We are at a boiling point. There’s going to be a civil war’

Less than 24 hours before a supporter of former Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders fired at Republican members of Congress at a baseball practice, seriously injuring House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and four others before U.S. Capitol Police took down the assailant, talk-radio host and author Michael Savage warned of violence by “marginal” people who are set to explode and “kill somebody.”
Savage, the host of the nationally syndicated “The Savage Nation,” was commenting on recent developments that have escalated the anti-Trump “resistance,” such as comedian Kathy Griffin’s ISIS-style photo shoot of the decapitated likeness of Trump and the “Julius Caesar” play in Central Park featuring the assassination of a Trump-like figure.

“I don’t know how much more of this the country can take,” Savage said.
“We are at a boiling point. There’s going to be a civil war,” he told his listeners Tuesday.

The suspect in the shooting Wednesday, James T. Hodgkinson of Belleville, Illinois, campaigned for Sanders and belonged to a number of anti-Republican groups, including one called “Terminate the Republican Party.”
In comments prepared for his afternoon show Wednesday, Savage criticized President Trump’s reaction to the shooting, contending he lost an opportunity to “take control” of the narrative. And he pinned blame for the attack on Sanders, contending the Vermont senator “stoked hate against Republicans and the rich.”
The day before the attack, Savage told his listeners: “If they keep this up, I’m telling you there’s going to be an explosion in this country.”

He noted that nothing had been done to stop the Central Park play, “when it’s clearly illegal to assassinate a president, even in a mock way.”
“Do you understand that there are people out there who are marginal, who are going to go off like a rocket and kill somebody?” Savage asked.
“Do you understand what this left-wing is becoming in this country?”
Talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh also predicted on his show yesterday that “at some point,” the extreme Trump resisters “are gonna crack, and they’re not gonna just start cutting heads off of dolls, and they’re not gonna just start using fake knives to stab people at Central Park.”
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., who was on the field practicing with his colleagues early Wednesday morning, commented that without the Capitol Police officers assigned to Scalise, “it would have been a massacre.”
‘It’s going to get worse’
In the opening monologue prepared for his show at noon Eastern Time Wednesday, Savage said many people “think predicting things like I did yesterday is just talk; well it’s not.”
“I know what’s coming, and it’s going to get worse,” he said, pointing to his 2014 book, “Stop the Coming Civil War.”
Savage said that in the book’s first chapter, he shows how former first lady Michelle Obama, former Attorney General Eric Holder and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi were “inciting the division of classes at commencement speeches.”
He writes, on pages 4 and 5 of the book: “Why would these people put forth the message of class and racial division to graduating college seniors on the same weekend, with Pelosi further telling her audience to go out and become disruptors? Why do they do it? I’m telling you they’re setting the stage for more confrontations between citizens of the United States and their government.”
On page 252 of the book, he writes: “Not since the run-up to the Civil War has the nation been more divided. The battle lines have been drawn: The haves against the have-nots. The illegal aliens against hard working middle-class families. Liberals who hate the second amendment versus lawful gun owners. Climate activists whose policies cause forest fires and exacerbate drought against those who understand that the effect on human activity is negligible. Anti-Christian Communist educators against God fearing families. Republicrats against Patriots.”
Savage said in his monologue Wednesday that all the rhetoric about Trump is about keeping the president “from accomplishing an agenda that is dismantling everything Obama put in place.”
“What do the Dems do right away? Jump on gun control,” he said, referring to Democratic Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe’s remarks at the scene of the attack Wednesday.
“It’s almost Pavlovian. Someone gets shot and they want to grab guns. This is more than that. This blood is on their hands,” Savage said.

Trump lost opportunity to ‘seize the moment’
Savage said President Trump “took too long to act” in response to the attack Wednesday.
“While he’s waiting for someone to compose some pathetic thing for him to read, the Dems take control of the situation,” Savage said. “And then when Trump finally acted, he said nothing. He gave a bland high school principal’s speech instead of a presidential speech.”
Savage said Trump “could have taken control of the nation with this.”
“He could have seized the moment,” Savage said.
“Where was the bold Trump we elected? We saw a milquetoast speech prepared for him by the RNC. They muted him again. He should have been up there screaming at MSNBC and CNN in particular for putting out fake news day after day and calling for violence in not so subtle terms.”

Noting the suspect was a big Sanders supporter, according to his Facebook page, Savage accused Sanders of inciting violence by stirring up “venom and hate against millionaires and billionaires.”
“He stoked hate against Republicans and the rich,” Savage said of the senator.
“This blood is on Bernie’s hands, and he should be put in jail for this. He incited violence,” Savage declared.
On the Senate floor Wednesday, Sanders condemned the suspect, whom the independent senator said “apparently volunteered” for his presidential campaign, CNN reported.
“I have just been informed that the alleged shooter at the Republican baseball practice is someone who apparently volunteered on my presidential campaign,” Sanders said. “I am sickened by this despicable act. Let me be as clear as I can be: Violence of any kind is unacceptable in our society and I condemn this action in the strongest possible terms. Real change can only come about through nonviolent action, and anything else runs against our most deeply held American values.”
Savage said there’s a limit to free speech.
“I practice my limits. There are things I’d like to say on the radio but I practice responsibility. But people say whatever they want on Twitter and Facebook with no filters,” said Savage.
“Like I said yesterday, there are marginal people out there and soon one of them will act. Well, one of them has. When will the next one take action?”

Anti-Trump Media in Complete Collapse: Five Bombshells From Comey Testimony

Comey destroys Russia conspiracy theory, debunks mainstream media

Russia ‘Collusion’ Theory Falls Apart

Comey said he never felt that Trump tried to impede the FBI’s investigation into Russia, but instead the president had actually encouraged it.
Even more, Comey admitted Flynn wasn’t at the center of the investigation anyway, which kills the mainstream media narrative.
In response, MSNBC host Chris Matthews said the accusation that President Trump directly colluded with Russia to interfere in the U.S. election “came apart” following Comey’s testimony in front of Congress.

Comey Admits He’s a Leaker

Despite President Trump once asking FBI Director James Comey to find leakers, Comey admitted that he himself was also a leaker.
Comey asked Columbia law professor Daniel Richman to leak his memos to the media with the hope of triggering the appointment of a special counsel.
“The FBI is totally unable to stop the national security ‘leakers’ that have permeated our government for a long time,” the president noted on social media in February, ironic given that Comey is a leaker.
Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

I have been asking Director Comey & others, from the beginning of my administration, to find the LEAKERS in the intelligence community…..

Trump’s lawyer said Comey’s leaks were an unauthorized disclosure of privileged talks.
“Mr. Comey’s testimony also makes clear that the president never sought to impede the investigation into attempted Russian interference in the 2016 election,” attorney Marc Kasowitz said. “And in fact, according to Mr. Comey, the president told Mr. Comey ‘it would be good to find out’ in that investigation if there were ‘some ‘satellite’ associates of his who did something wrong.’”

Committed Perjury to Congress

Although he admitted President Trump “simply hoped” the FBI would drop its probe into former national security advisor Michael Flynn, Comey said he interpreted this as a direct order, which contradicts his sworn Senate testimony on May 3 in which he said no one in the Trump administration tried to shut down the investigation.
The former FBI director told Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) it would “be a big deal to tell the FBI to stop doing something that – without an appropriate purpose.”
“But I’m talking about a situation where we were told to stop something for a political reason, that would be a very big deal. It’s not happened in my experience,” he said.

Hints at Obama Admin Obstructing Justice During Clinton Probe

Comey said that former Attorney General Loretta Lynch asked him to downplay the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails by not calling it an investigation.
“At one point, the attorney general had directed me not to call it an investigation, but instead to call it a ‘matter,’ which confused me and concerned me,” he said. “…That was one of the bricks in the load that led me to conclude, ‘I have to step away from the department if we’re to close this case credibly.’”

Debunks TWO New York Times Articles

Comey debunked a Feb. 14 NY Times article claiming that the Trump campaign had “repeated contacts with Russian intelligence.”
In the report, the Times asserted that the “campaign and other Trump associates had repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials in the year before the election, according to four current and former American officials.”
Sen. James Risch (R-Idaho) asked Comey if the article was false.
“In the main – it was not true,” Comey said. “The challenge – and I’m not picking on reporters – about writing stories about classified information is that people talking about it often don’t really know what is going on.”
“And those of us who actually know what’s going on aren’t talking about it. And we don’t call the press to say, hey, you got that thing wrong about this sensitive topic. We just have to leave it there.”
Comey also indirectly debunked a Feb. 16 NY Times article claiming Trump asked him to shut down the investigation into Flynn.

The former FBI director confirmed Trump “simply hoped” that the investigation would end, not that he was directly told to stop the probe.

Don’t believe anything you hear and only about half of what you actually see. – My Dad (and other wise people)

Wise man, my Dad.
I’ve been doing some more research.  I know.  Stop yawning.  I intended to provide you with an extensive list of examples to support my argument but I won’t.  Instead, I’ll equip you with what’s needed to do your own brain exercise.  Besides, those of you inclined to agree with me will do so without references.  Those of you who aren’t so inclined have probably already switched the channel.  But, wait…  You may want to stick around for a few minutes.  If you do, I promise to give you something useful that’ll help you to dissect before digesting that which you hear and see each day.
I hauled out my dictionary.  I needed us to understand the actual definitions for propaganda and journalism.  Since we are busy rewriting definitions these days, I thought this was important for the discussion.

Propagandaideas, facts, or allegations spread deliberately to further one’s cause or to damage an opposing cause.  Journalism –writing characterized by a direct presentation of facts or description of events without an attempt at interpretation.

In our world of 24/7, instant worldwide news coverage, we have a problem separating propaganda from journalism. Is propaganda too harsh a word for you?  Hey, I didn’t write the definition for it, but if it makes it a little more palatable for you, we’ll discuss it as the difference between an opinion commentary and a newscast presentation of events or facts without interpretation.  Just remember what Willie Shakespeare said, “You can call manure a rose if you want to, but it’ll still stink…” or something like that.
I read and listen to quite a bit of news and listen to many of the popular radio and television commentators.  If I want the liberal slant to the actual news, I watch CNN, listen to NPR (your tax dollars at work) or one of the networks – ABC, NBC or CBS.  If I want the conservative perspective, I’ll tune in to Fox.  Although considered by most as conservative, the actual Fox newscasts (not the Fox talk shows) provide, in my opinion, more facts without interpretation than do the others.  But, that’s a judgment you can make for yourself once armed with my rules for news dissection.  When it comes to listening to commentators, I prefer the conservative perspective.  I listen to the liberal commentators too.  I like to hear both sides of the debate, but I do not like the extreme position on either the left or the right.  Considering both helps round out my perspective.  However, I’d as soon gouge my eye out with a stick as to listen to some of them.  James Carvel and Pat Buchanan come to mind.
Last year in April, I was out of the country for a while.  The only English speaking newscasts that I could get were CNN International and the BBC.  Al Jazeera has nothing over these guys.  Listening to what passed for actual news was interesting, but frightening.  The BBC for example, could always produce one American opposed to the war and present them as the representative voice for all Americans.  There wasn’t one single success to report according to their spin and America was clearly the bad guy bully.  Their opposition to America was obvious in how they presented (slanted) the news for world consumption.  Following two weeks of that, I too was concerned about how we were doing.   When I returned home, I was much more observant of what was presented to me as news by alleged newscasters.  What I discovered is that we have our own little BBCs and CNN Internationals filling America’s airwaves.  To get at the real news, I started mining the facts for myself.  In doing so, I developed three simple rules that have helped me see the world and the news, a little more clearly.  Here are my rules.  Feel free to use them, they’re free and they work.

  • Peel away the commentary.  Focus on the facts.

Example: “Job growth was a major disappointment this month with only 21,000 new jobs created.
The commentary: “Job growth was a major disappointment this month with only…
The fact:  …21,000 new jobs created.
Focus on the facts and form your own opinion about what’s good or bad.

  • Apply JD’s bovine scatology detection formula to all statements made by alleged newscasters.  If the number of descriptive terms in a statement from a newscaster equals or exceeds the number of facts in the statement, then it’s commentary and not a presentation of facts or description of events without an attempt at interpretation.

Our Example Again:  “Job growth was a major disappointment this month with only 21,000 new jobs created.
This statement activates the BS-ometer.  The opening statement, Job growth…disappointment is descriptive.  The words with only appearing just before the one fact, is the second descriptor.  Both have a purpose of telling us our opinion (or how we should think).  Two descriptive phrases used to present one fact.  Does this more closely fit the definition of propaganda or journalism?  Time to flip channels.

  • There is something positive that comes out of every story.

If you listen to a newscast and you never hear a positive point reported about (or as in our example positive facts consistently reported in a negative vein), for example, the economy, the government, the war… your BS-ometer should go off as well.  This also works in reverse, everything isn’t always rosy either.
Our quandary is this.  Too many of us focus on the commentary while skimming past the facts.  We do that, because our most prominent and trusted newscasters are actually commentators and because we are a bit lazy at times.  Our “newscasters” subtly infuse their opinions into the news giving us ideas, facts, or allegations spread deliberately to further one’s cause or to damage an opposing cause more often than they give us direct presentation of facts or description of events without an attempt at interpretation.
There are only a couple of conclusions I can draw from this.

  • They believe that I (and you) am too stupid to consider facts and decide for myself their significance or:
  • They have a motive.  The only motive I can think of is to cause me (and you) to think a certain way – their way.

If the first is true, it tells me much about many of the people who claim to present the news.  If the second is true, that’s simply propaganda.

A truth that’s told with bad intent Beats all the lies you can invent. – William Blake, 1803

A sickening new “comedy” show on FOX features a 6-year-old boy wearing a bondage gag.

The boy, who is apparently transgendered, is seen wearing the gag after burning his tongue licking a hot grill at a Benihana style restaurant in exchange for $1,000 from his older teenage brother.
The FOX show is named “The Mick” and it aired on January 1st, 2017. It was created by Dave Chernin and John Chernin, both sons of top Hollywood executive Peter Chernin.
Other scenes show the boy dressing like a girl and commenting how the dress he’s wearing “kind of breezes on my vagina.”

Another scene shows the boy celebrate after a man’s eye is impaled in front of him by a woman’s high-heeled shoe.

DESPERATE: Establishment Media Says Everything Apart From Itself Is ‘Fake’

Vast majority of Americans do not trust mainstream media

ABC’s Good Morning America and CBS’ This Morning also covered the story.
Reports today suggest that both Facebook and Google are to ‘restrict’ ads on these so called ‘fake’ news websites.
“Google said it is working on a policy change to prevent websites that misrepresent content from using its AdSense advertising network, while Facebook updated its advertising policies to spell out that its ban on deceptive and misleading content applies to fake news.” Reuters reported.
The London Independent reported that “Critics say that the false information peddled by President-elect Donald Trump may have helped him over the course of his campaign.”
The newspaper also carried another story today suggesting that the media is now fragmented and that “Yet, another distinctive feature [of the 2016 US presidential election] was the number of stories that turned out to the utterly false. This was particularly true – though not exclusively so – for supporters of Mr Trump, who were frequently drawn to news sites such Breitbart, InfoWars and Freedom Daily.”
Here, we are witnessing the death throws of a dinosaur as it gasps for its last breath before becoming extinct.
The corporate media is literally trying to convince Americans the total opposite of the truth… that their own output is accurate and authoritative, while every other item of news is ‘fake’.
For the dying establishment media, it’s far too late, however.
A new YouGov poll shows that 7 in 10 (69%) voters do not believe the news media are honest and truthful. The poll also finds that 8 in 10 (78%) of voters believe the corporate news coverage of the presidential campaign was biased, with nearly a 3-to-1 majority believing the media were for Clinton (59%) vs. for Trump (21%).

As noted by MRC, the sponsors of the YouGov poll, even one third of Clinton supporters acknowledged that the media was totally biased for her in its coverage.
“The media are in full panic mode because the American people rejected their leftist agenda — and them. People didn’t believe the nonsense that the media were politically neutral.” noted MRC President Brent Bozell.
“The public has rejected this institution as being either objective or truthful. There is an institutional bias at major media networks that must be repaired” Bozell added.
Americans saw through the media lies a long time ago, as 97% of voters said they did not let the blatant media’s bias influence their vote.
Trust in the media is dead, and them saying that everything else is fake represents the final nail in the coffin.
While Breitbart News’ Stephen K. Bannon is about to become chief White House strategist, the establishment media is peddling desperate fake stories about Donald Trump seeking top secret security clearance for his kids. It is truly pathetic to witness.
As for the big corporations running social media, just as alternative media icon Matt Drudge indicated over a year ago, Facebook, Twitter are ‘Internet ghettos’ designed to corral people into the confines of a small, closed network in which they are only connected to “Facebook friends” who likely share the same views, eradicating the open range of independent thought that was once the Internet.
Just as happened with he mainstream media, it is only a matter of time before a majority of people realise this and figuratively walk out of their open cell doors, out of the prison and back into the wide open world.
