  1. Interesting article. I wrote a long response but then decided to erase it and just say — You would not like my answer. I will say this, to me, and this is my personal opinion, a real man is: 1) Someone who is as comfortable dining at the most expensive classy restaurant there is as he is sitting around a bonfire in the country roasting hot dogs; 2) He is just as comfortable ball room dancing as he is working cattle, hauling hay or chopping wood. 3) He is witty. 4) He is funny. 5) He maintains through out his life a willingness to learn and grow intellectually. 6) He has a sense of what to wear and when to wear it. 7) He shows an interest in those around him, especially his wife and children. 8) He is willing to share his knowledge of the nuances of life. 9) He is compassionate, yet strong, and not afraid to cry. 10) He accepts the responsibility that it is his job to provide spiritual, emotional and financial support for the family unit. If circumstances beyond his control prevent him from doing this — For example illness — then he will do whatever he can to take care of the house, the children, and go over and above to support the one who is working to pay the bills. 11) He is not afraid to discuss finances, family activities or to discipline the children. 12) He shows an interest in how to become a fantastic partner in intimacy. I am not to old to dream!!!!
