A piece of “performance art” released by the taxpayer-funded Scottish National Portrait Gallery describes white people as “inbred spawn soon to die out.”

The spoken word video, performed by Mercury Prize-winners Young Fathers and published on YouTube last week, features Aloysius Massaquoi racially insulting some of Scotland’s most iconic figures, including King James III and architect Sir William Bruce.

Set to ominous background music, Massaquoi states, “Gold. Edged and decorated. A coat framed with gold surrounding white skin,
wrapped around your body fat and muscles and bones like a magic cloak. The signs of power. The signs of wealth. Insignia. Details that seem small and inconsequential but they are proof of status. Your status. White. Powerful. Rich.”

“Am I meant to admire the brushwork and the colours and the historical context, without considering how you came to be here? And people who look like me aren’t? Am I meant to just accept that this is how things work out,” questions Massaquoi as he throws air punches at the paintings.

“I am here, too, now. And you are dead. Dead, random white dude. What’s so special about you?” he goes on to ask.

“The signs of wealth, the insignia of status, they are a gravestone that a dog pisses against, shifting, cracked in clay. They are a long line of in-bred spawn, soon to die out themselves,” states Massaquoi.

“Perhaps someone could inform this idiot these men are framed in gold because they’re highly distinguished and achieved real accomplishments in their lives beyond rapping?” writes Chris Menahan.

The Scottish National Portrait Gallery YouTube account responded to the backlash by disabling likes and comments on the video.

The Scottish National Portrait Gallery is primarily funded by the Scottish government using taxpayer money. The gallery’s 2011 refurbishment was also largely funded by the Scottish government and in turn taxpayers.

Not that this should even have to be explained, but the reason there are no portraits of black men hanging in the gallery is that the black population of Scotland is infintessimel even now, never mind hundreds of years ago.

According to official government statistics, Caribbean or Black individuals make up just 0.1% of the population of Scotland.

The notion that it’s racist to showcase the accomplishments of some of Scotland’s most iconic historical figures because they were white is patently absurd and is itself racist.

This would be just as ludicrous as getting outraged at South Africans for celebrating Nelson Mandela because Mandela is black and South African is a majority black country. It’s completely ridiculous.

But with the BBC and others now inserting black people into historical events such as the signing of the Magna Carta and the Norman invasion of Britain, who knows where this idiocy will end?

While the President views the worst case scenario as Obamacare bottoming out before the introduction of a new plan, he is still optimistic that it can be repealed and replaced sooner in order to minimize the suffering it is causing many Americans.
“Don’t give up Republican Senators, the World is watching: Repeal & Replace…and go to 51 votes (nuke option), get Cross State Lines & more,” he tweeted, adding that Congress – who exempted themselves from the law when they passed it – and insurance companies should share in the pain. “If ObamaCare is hurting people, & it is, why shouldn’t it hurt the insurance companies & why should Congress not be paying what public pays?”

Many Americans are too drugged-out to work

A slew of reports finds a fresh reason for the chronic inability of American companies to fill skilled jobs: not a lack of skills, and hence a training-and-education crisis, but a surfeit of drug abuse. Simply put, prime-working age Americans without a college diploma are often too drugged-out to get the best jobs. Opioids remain at high levels, but the surge in drug use is now heroin and the powerful contaminant fentanyl.
The reports suggest a circularity to the crisis in America’s rust and manufacturing belts: the loss of jobs and wage stagnation has led to widespread disaffection, alienation and drug abuse; and drug abuse has led to joblessness, hopelessness and disaffection.

But the numbers are all over the map. Some employers and economists say up to half of job applicants do not clear drug tests; others say it is 25%. In the chart above, Indeed economist Jed Kolko, using data from the U.S. Current Population Survey, found that 5.6% to 5.7% of working-age adults didn’t work last year because of illness or disability, an unknown percentage of which were because of drug use.

What was evident, Kolko told Axios: A “clear, steady upward trend in illness/disability as reason for not working among prime-age adults. And even more striking, the level and trend are very similar for men and women, even though most of the attention on this issue is going to men.”
But the anecdotal and economic evidence is compelling.

• LinkedIn’s Chip Cutter found a West Virginia company where “up to half of applicants either fail or refuse to take mandatory pre-employment drug screens.” The executive of another company called the drugs epidemic “probably the biggest threat in manufacturing, period.”

• “In Congressional testimony earlier this month,” Cutter writes, “Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen related opioid use to a decline in the labor participation rate. The past three Fed surveys on the economy, known as the Beige Book, explicitly mentioned employers’ struggles in finding applicants to pass drug tests as a barrier to hiring.”

One hopeful note: In a note to clients on July 5, Goldman Sachs’s Jan Hatzius said a hard look does not show that the current unemployed are in fact permanently unemployed. “We see little basis for writing off the remaining pool of unemployed, whose rate of drug use has not risen nearly as much as one might think from the surge in drug deaths,” the note said.

Billowing, black sewer discharge at Niagara Falls alarms businesses, tourists

There’s never a good time to discharge black sewer gunk into Niagara Falls. But doing it on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at the height of tourist season may be the worst timing ever.
Niagara Falls State Park was packed with visitors around 4 p.m. Saturday when the foul-smelling, black discharge came billowing out into the Niagara River within sight of the base of the American Falls, alarming city businesses and tourists as it engulfed the shoreline from the Rainbow Bridge to the Maid of the Mist boat dock.
Pat Proctor, vice president for Rainbow Air Inc., which provides helicopter tours over the falls, was among the first to notice what he initially assumed was a shadow cast by the skyline of Niagara Falls, Ont. Then he realized the growing black stain was no shadow at all. He picked up his phone and called the mayor.
“I was just praying it wasn’t an oil leak,” Proctor said, adding, “It looked like something out of a sci-fi movie.”

It turns out the discharge came from the Niagara Falls Waste Water Treatment Plant. The plant had the proper sewer discharge paperwork to release the volume of sewage and sediment that spewed into the river Saturday, according to the Niagara Falls Water Board.
But that didn’t keep city leaders and business owners from being upset and frustrated over the Water Board’s timing.
“We were shocked,” said Nick Melson, Niagara Falls city administrator. “We were caught off guard. We had to do some digging ourselves to find out what was going on. And we are very upset that we weren’t notified.”
So were businesses like the Maid of the Mist, which took to Twitter to try and find out what was going on.

Mayor Paul Dyster and Department of Environmental Conservation were alerted to the spreading cloud in the water and began investigating.
Water Board Executive Director Rolfe Porter said one of the sewage plant’s five sediment filtration basins was taken offline and flushed out in preparation for contractors coming in Monday to begin work to upgrade the basin. Typically, such basin discharge is done as part of a regular maintenance schedule in the spring and the fall and lasts two to four hours, he said.
“We don’t normally do this during tourist season,” Porter said.
But with contractors coming in to do plant upgrades Monday, plant operators chose to empty one the basins Saturday afternoon.
Though sewage discharge smells bad, it normally does not change the color of the water. But this time sediment from the bottom of the basin also was being released into the waterway, and it contained residue from the black carbon filters that normally trap small particles. That went flowing out with everything else, Porter said.
The black blob expanded for hours, continuing to grow into the night, said Proctor, who took aerial photos from helicopter flyovers during the day.

THE sick rise of child sex dolls being sold online has been revealed as cops say they have been led to the doors of previously unknown paedos lurking in Britain.

Grotesque sex aids are being flogged for £1,000 and smuggled into the country for sick paedos to carry out their vile fantasies.

Perverts have been importing dolls to the UK prompting calls for new laws.

Border forces have seized 123 dolls since March 2016 with seven people charged with importing them, including one man who was jailed last month.
Of the seven men charged with importing the dolls so far, six have also faced child porn allegations.
The dolls, often manufactured in China and Hong Kong, are a “relatively new phenomenon” in the UK with urgent calls made for their ownership and manufacture to be criminalised amid fears they could normalise paedophilia and put real kids at risk.
At present perverts are being prosecuted under import laws that prevent obscene material being brought into the country.
Asked if there should be new laws to combat the rise in child sex dolls, Hazel Stewart, of the National Crime Agency, said: “I think it’s got to be through the full range of this criminality, from manufacturer to sale, to import, to possess – the full range.
“And we need to make sure it’s future-proofed in case there is the introduction of the sexbots, the sex robots.”

Ms Stewart stressed that the dolls are unlike the blow up models people might associate with stag dolls.
She added: “They are the weight of a seven-year-old child, they are not something that is the traditional blow-up doll.
“(They are) very, very different – very, very more accurate anatomically.”
Dolls often come packaged with accessories including a choice of wigs, a USB device to warm the spongy silicone skin, and a cleaning device.
The men who import them often also buy clothes to dress them up in, with examples including a lacy thong, negligee and pink lacy crotchless body stocking, Ms Stewart said.

Medical professionals assessed the dolls to show they had been intended to be child like.

The alarming stats came to light at Canterbury Crown Court where a judge dismissed an attempt by ex-primary school governor David Turner’s barrister to argue that a doll he imported was not obscene.
Former churchwarden Turner, 72, pleaded guilty on Monday to importing the child sex doll after the application to dismiss the charge was turned down – he will be sentenced at a later date.
Andrew Dobson, 49, of Merrivale Road, Wistaston in Crewe, was jailed at Chester Crown Court in June for two years and eight months in what is thought to be one of the first prosecutions for importing a child sex doll in the UK.
