The Science Of Parting The Red Sea

Th3 Platform

The God breathed truth of the Bible is filled with a host of miracles that are simply inexplicable at a first glance. Some are entirely inexplicable. We trust the Word as truth because we know the power it contains: Origins, the Jewish kingdom, the prophets, the gospels, the early church, and Revelations. During the Exodus from Egypt, the tribes of Israel had fled towards the edge of the Red Sea. The Lord commanded Moses to stretch out his rod over the sea so that it would be parted to give Israel safe passage. This is phenomenon has some Christians scratching their heads and atheists saying this is why the Bible is fiction. However there is quite a bit of evidence that proves this did happen and the natural laws of physics show that it is possible.

We all have experience the vicious tendencies of nature through weather in some way whether…

  1. Excellent article. I was aware of much of the research and archeological evidence cited here but not of the pharaoh’s battered condition. And he was in the lead chariot of the Egyptians pursuing Moses and the Israelites.

I must admit however if there was not one scintilla of physical evidence of this event it would make no difference in my belief in the Truth of the Word of God.

I freely admit that I am a man of little Faith and I know that without faith I cannot hope to please God because He said: “…without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” – Hebrews 11:6.

However, even so God has made allowance for wretches such as myself when it was written: “And Jesus said unto them,…. verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” – Matthew 17:20

And on Jesus’ words I hang my immortal soul.

My faith is small. I lived a sinful life and did not yield to God’s call for half a century. But my little grain of Faith is more real than the sun that shines and the stars that twinkle in the night sky. I serve the God of second, third and uncounted chances. And I know there is only one “Unforgivable Sin” and that is the sin of turning away from the One who gave all at Calvary that each of us who fall down and worship Him might be saved and have everlasting life in in God’s Kingdom in His Glorious Presence.

All Praise be to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob!

Amen and Amen!… And a Blessed Christmas To All.
